My favorite is the athena salad.. i went there 3 times last week to get this along with their lemon chicken soup and spanakopita .. out of the three items the athena salad was the best.. the lemon chicken soup wasn't really that good.. the spanakopita could've been better as well.. nothing like what George's in Long Beach serves... i spent at least $20 each visit.. but when i asked for more salad dressing the last time i dined inside, i got an attitude problem .. although the salad is good, the customer service needs improvement.. i found another friendly Greek establishment called Chicken Dijon who serve You with a smile and great service.. i won't be eating at Daphnes anytime soon. read more

Clean restaurant. Plenty of parking available. Friendly staff. Food is good and tasty. I ordered beef gyros and they were good. Surprisingly was good, better than I can remember! Last time I had lunch at a Daphne's was over a year and a half ago and totally disappointed. This time I had the trio, and it was very good. Actually I found out that I could pick any of the three varieties, service was good and clean. So I will be going back to check it out, but I wonder what they use in their sauce, because it is not yogurt! I'll always love Daphne's even though prices have been steadily increasing over the years. I remember when the family meal was $19.99 and now it's $28.99. It's still a great deal though and the chicken and gyros are bomb. I also like their street pita and basically anything that has fire feta. I usually get a $5 to go fire feta so I can use it for a few days with other food. Sad the Culver City location is gone but this one isn't too far from home. read more

My dad comes in all the time and you get Pita rewards points. And yet they always have trouble applying it to purchases. Every time they just shrug there shoulders and go Idk it doesn't work. Well why don't you pick up the phone and call corporate and figure it out??? Got to be hard picking up a phone and fixing the problem I guess. Literally every time he goes in he tries using the points and they're different cashiers and all they do is go well it's not my fault. Completely useless. I don't go to this shopping center too often but when I leave, I've been noticing this place. So I thought the next time I'm in this area, I'll try to check out this place. I got the Plate meal. It comes with a small salad, rice and a choice of 2 from a list. I chose the Tri-tip Steak Kabob and Chicken Kabob. The Steak Kabob was great. The chicken was dry. The salad was fresh. The pita was good. The rice was ok. I'd like to think the food had a "light" taste as opposed to being bland. I also got a Baklava which was way too soggy. I went to this place a few days ago around 530p. There were a few customers inside and a couple of customers came when I was waiting for my food. The service was pretty quick. I think it was less than 10 minutes. I think the food is somewhat reasonably-priced. The inside of this place appeared pretty clean. I'm sure I'll be back to this place when I'm in this area. read more

I usually only leave good reviews but today's food was very disappointing. Daphnes has gone downhill. I'm only giving them two stars because the staff is very friendly. Otherwise I would have given one star. The food is bland, sauces are watered down and they give small portions now. This place used to be so good. I am usually health-conscious about what I eat as much as possible when going out. I also enjoy mediterranean food as it's acclaimed to be one of the more healthier cuisines on the planet. That's why when I think of a place where you can get a good salad or have something somewhat more healthy, I think of Daphne's. I consider it one of the few places to get a good meal. They have a great variety of dishes with gyros, lamb, chicken and beef shishkabobs, combination plates and great mediterranean salads. I really enjoy their tzatziki sauce which they serve as a complement to their meals. It's great as a dip for the toasted pita breads they serve. The only complaint I have is that their salad portions aren't exactly the same size as those that are displayed in the pictures that hang above the counter that makes your mouth water as you walk in. I visited this eatery recently and ordered the mediterranean chicken salad, which in the photograph hanging above the counter, looked really appetizing! The picture portrayed what seemed to be two sliced grilled chicken breasts laid over a bed of greens peppered with tomatoes, red onions, pepperocinis, feta cheese and black olives. After ordering, I sat down and placed the numbered card they gave me on the holder on the table. However, when the attendant brought my plate to my table, I was slightly disappointed because first of all, it seemed the plate on which they served the salad was slightly smaller than that shown in the picture. Secondly, the chicken portion was hardly what was advertised in the photo! Rather, what was served was a salad with about a handful of cubed pieces of chicken spread on top of the salad. As the attendant brought my plate I commented to her that the salad didn't look like the picture above the counter and asked if she could at least bring me a little more chicken. She smiled and was nice enough to accomodate me as I could tell she agreed with my observation. The servers in the back kitchen, however, were a bit quizical about my request. One worker actually came out from behind the kitchen counter to take a look at the picture. I could see the realization hit him! He said something to the effect that the picture portrayed two servings of chicken (he held up two fingers) to the girls up at the front counter . It was all in good fun but I suggested that they get bigger plates to try to be true to their advertising. I don't mind if eateries have to raise their prices because of inflation. It's just a pet peeve of mine when they start getting chintzy with the serving size or sacrifice food quality because of it. I understand gas prices are up, that bees are mysteriously dying and somehow, they play a huge role in the food chain. Reports also say that the price of poultry and beef are rising due to scarcity of corn which is used for feed and is now being utilized for the fabrication of ethanol--the new American fuel (puleez, go hydrogen). But please, don't minimize your serving size, just raise the prices. It's okay, we get it!!! (Okay, I'll get off my soap box now). I would have given Daphne's 4 stars for the great tasting food and variety but have to take a star away for the false advertisement in portion size. read more

Unsure if the cashier knows what white meat is since I asked if the chicken for the wrap is all white meat and she looked puzzled so I asked the cook...My second & last time at this location on both of my visits the wrap was made into a huge messy burrito! Got a salmon plate w/hummus and I was not impressed at all. The reason for the three stars is because the cashier was nice. The salmon was not seasoned well, it looked like a very low grade type of salmon that had been frozen. It did not have a fresh taste. I had very little veggies and my seasoned rice was unseasoned and cold. This cost me a little over $15 and I waited for about 20 minutes for my to go order. I much prefer grilliant to Daphne's for a Greek salmon plate. They cost the same, but the quality of the plate is much more delightful. read more

For a healthy and fresh salad, try the grilled chicken salad with the fire feta sauce on the side + a lamb kabob on top. It has a nice kick but tastes very fresh. Our office has catered with Daphne's at least 4-5 times. If you're catering, hit up Ruben. They offer amazingly huge trays of food at very reasonable prices. read more

The reason I'm reviewing you is because I want you to know that it matters to some people that your people don't care about what they serve. My Cali Greek Salad was a mess. Not anything like the picture and really poorly executed. When I get something this poorly crafted it makes me wonder what else you don't give two S***t's about. Not only did the cook do a half ass job in making it, but the server went right along with it and brought it too me. Not worth sending back, but you wont see us for awhile. This place used to be a great stop with affordable prices and okay food. Would come often for the steak Kebab but realized that the price of the food changed with new management but the food stayed exactly the same if not, got worse than before because the steak is filled with fatty meat, can't even eat the damn food without having to spit out 16 bucks! Yes that's right 16 ******* BUCKS for one scoop of rice, fatty meat and a mediocre salad at best. Maybe if I was getting the plate for 8 bucks then I'd give this a better review but to be quite frank, Daphne's has lost its way and for a good reason, gtfo of California. read more

I want to leave a review for Anthony at Daphne's. I was impressed by him the moment I walked in the door. The reason is because when I walked in, he was helping another customer, but still took the time to look up and welcome me. Although I wish that happened everywhere, it does not... and so it stood out :) Also, I didn't love my salad dressing or sauce that came with my meal. I wasn't going to say anything but Anthony came by my table to ask me how my food was, so I decided tell him about the sauce. He went back to the kitchen and brought me back two sauces, one of which I ended up liking. Good service, Anthony. Thanks again. I'm not giving this place a 5 star because it's the best Americanized Greek food in the whole wide world, I'm giving it a 5 star because for what you expect and what you actually get @ this particular location compared to other Daphne's I've been to is head and shoulders above the rest. A few things that really stand out for me were; - Ample parking - A great attentive wait staff (if the manager is reading this, the staff that was working on 2/2/2011 around 11 either need a raise or a free lunch) - Super clean, the floors, the tables, the bathroom were all spotless. - And something is rt when you have way more meat than veges. The "eh" moment was I ordered a side dish of pesto hummus but they bought me the red pepper hummus instead but when I let them know of the slip up they gave me the pesto hummus and gave the red pepper on the house. No hassle, no awkward glances, they fixed it right away... the way it should be. This 1 place where if it was a full serve restaurant I would have no problem tipping a bit extra, Long live Nia Vardalos! read more

Wow! I won't be going to this location anymore, talk about skimping down the portions. I just ordered the veggie plate combo, which I use to love getting here. They no longer give you two spanakopitas, instead you get 2 halves of 1, you no longer get 1 piece of pita bread cut into 1/4 slices, now you get half a pita cut into 1/8 slices, and they no longer give you rice. Plus, they increased the price while decreasing the portions. You've lost my business. Good bye Daphne's!!! read more
