Fresh and tasty Mediterranean food. I was here as they are conveniently located next door to Skechers. I've had the falafels, salmon, and chicken kabobs off and on over the years. They were very impressive in the late 2010s but, recently they have been okay. They do charge for a small extra container of sauce, .50. They have not been my go-to Mediterranean place so I actually got confused the last time I was here and asked for a side that was not on their menu. Oops! They have that covered outdoor seating with plenty of tables which is great for large groups. It is a casual eatery, the seating is all outside in a covered patio setting, you lock up inside to place your order. They only have fountain drinks and I think some bottled drinks but they do not have any specialty drinks like the mint yogurt drink or lahssi or anything like that. This is a Halal restaurant. They do have a single restroom which was reasonably clean. This is basically a self service very casual type of place, so if you're looking for a situation with table service where you're going to be waited on and fully catered to this would not be the spot. But if you are OK with a very casual setting or would even prefer this type of setting because you just want to be left alone to read or talk on the phone while you eat type of thing then this is good. I would definitely recommend and I would eat here again. I also liked the square shaped plates, I've just always liked square chargers or plates more than round or oval personally so that was just an extra little plus. read more

He got his usual with chicken and beef skewers, rice, hummus and salad. He also got a churro. I got a chicken skewer, beef skewer and kafta with a bunch of green sauces. The shwarma was decent... not huge amounts of meat but nice and messy and the actual wrap was a bread that was good... not pita but something better, um, a shwarma wrap. The salad they served with it was good lettuce, good tomato but WAY overly dressed and not very good dressing/sauce/blobs. I may just be ignorant of this specific Mediterranean sauce/glob... but it was not happening. What I am NOT ignorant of is hummus. I've had it hundreds of times, make my own and whether it's from a Hummus Bar or Trader Joes... I like it all. The hummus here, IMO, not so good. Been wanting to try The Green Olive out for the last few years, they've been around for 10 years! Finally stopped by when we were next door at Sketchers. A walk up and order style restaurant with a tiny kitchen and a really spacious outdoor seating space, it's enclosed with fans and I'm sure during the winter months they bring out heaters to keep the space comfortable! Space is cool, flavors divine, somehow the quality is "eh"... FOOD: GRAPELEAVES taste divine, though they're a little dry. If I am to return I'd just ask them to drizzle a little olive oil over it. FALAFEL yummy too, packed with flavor! SHORT GRAIN YELLOW RICE very savory however crunchy from being undercooked. PITA was cold and therefore hard not soft and flufffy. It's strange I'm usually able to put my finger on these things and I simply can't seem to figure it out, ALL THE MEAT was well flavored and tasty, it's either well marinated or simply well seasoned. Flavor being the highest priority during my ratings The Green Olive should be higher up on my list, I should technically love it but... I don't. I barley found it edible. Mom actual enjoyed it and found it delicious. I didn't want to ruin her experience with my opinions so I didn't say much. However, It didn't taste fresh, tasted like it was either reheated meat or it didn't reach the right temperature during the cooking process.
