A delicious meal with a homemade feel & backyard bbq ambiance. Right after I landed in LA, my friend said I had to visit one of her favorite restaurants. I now understand why it's her favorite! I had a tough time deciding what to get but ended up ordering the Kafta Kebab Plate with Tabouli Salad and an order of Cheese Phyllo. My friend ordered the Chicken Kebab Plate and a 'small' side of spicy potatoes. We also got an 8oz tub of Garlic Sauce to share. The food came out in less than ten minutes and I was shocked by the portions. My plate alone was enough for two meals, so not only did I get to try a new restaurant, I was able to enjoy it twice in one day! The rice was fluffy and seasoned well. The hummus was creamy and went so well with the Kafta. The salad was refreshing and very tasty. The cheese phyllo were like the crab rangoons of this cuisine. Busting with cheese and just a fun finger food! The stars of the show for me were the garlic sauce and the spicy potatoes. The garlic sauce had that raw garlic spice that I love. I don't care that I smelled like raw garlic for the rest of the day-- it was the best way for me to remember my meal. The potatoes reminded me of something I would make as a kid coming home from school. Simple, a little greasy, and smothered in sauce. I can't wait to come back for more!

    Lamb gyro. Full of deliciousness.

Lamb gyro full of deliciousness. The service was quick. The ambience couldn't be reviewed.

When I'm craving Mediterranean, this is usually where I go. I've had the Kafta Kebab Plate and the Gyro Meat Plate multiple times. The portions are generous, and the flavor is consistently strong - easily one of the better Mediterranean spots in the area. The green sauce is the highlight. I crave it every time. It really pulls everything together. Service is more of a quick counter setup - you order, grab a number, and they bring the food out. It's efficient, not full-service. Seating is on an outdoor patio with an open breezeway feel. The heat lamps aren't always on, so bring a jacket if it's cooler. It's not fancy and the setup is simple, but the food keeps me coming back.

Passed this place many times this time I stopped and it was well worth it I love the lamb chops it's my favorite but everything I tried so far has been great.. if your in the mood for some good mediterranean food this is the place

The Service: Manager Yovani leads an awesome team. Many hard workers staffs preparing food at the open kitchen. They are super efficient! Shout out to Evelyn & Gerando for their excellent customer service. They were so attentive & thoughtful. They observed what we would need & took care of it before we even asked. 5 Stars service! The Food: This should be one of the best Mediterranean cuisines we have ever tried. All the meat were prepared perfectly especially the lamb chop which were so flavorful & tender. We loved all the side dishes to come with the kabobs, the rice, hummus, salads, falafel & dolma. The food portion was very generous! They were all freshly made because we saw it from their open kitchen. If you have a sweet tooth, try their baklava & rice pudding. It was a perfect way to end the meal indeed. The Parking: Plaza parking lot (free)

This is a go-to whenever I'm visiting the home office with their fresh food with large portions and reasonably priced.

Decent food, mixed experience. Chicken dishes were tender and delicious, but the beef was unfortunately hard and tough. Room for improvement, but worth another try. We ordered the family meal it was $71 but was good for 4/5 people. Pita bread is good to eat immediately after few minutes it's become very hard.

Just ordered the chicken kabob with a big side of Rice and two small sides of regular hummus the chicken has amazing flavor but I was let down by the hummus didn't have the best of flavor tasted very bland. Rice was also missing some flavor.

Ordered chicken shawarma plate. Payed $1 for "large Cesar salad" seems like such little rice too in comparison to photos online. Better to eat there because ordering delivery servings are a joke and not like the pictures. Don't order large salad you would think they would place it on the side but instead gave me less rice

We were so surprised to find so many delicious vegan options at the green olive. The space was pretty empty so we were unsure of what the food would be like but we were so happily surprised by how delicious it all was. We got the 11.Falafel Platter and the potatoes in the side were so delicious.

The food was a 3/5. good at best. lacked flavor and just seasoning. but it was good and the portion was respectable.

Fresh and tasty Mediterranean food. I was here as they are conveniently located next door to Skechers. I've had the falafels, salmon, and chicken kabobs off and on over the years. They were very impressive in the late 2010s but, recently they have been okay. They do charge for a small extra container of sauce, .50. They have not been my go-to Mediterranean place so I actually got confused the last time I was here and asked for a side that was not on their menu. Oops! They have that covered outdoor seating with plenty of tables which is great for large groups. As for cleanliness, when we have come here the last couple of times, there are always tables in need of bussing with one or two or no customers around. Service was A-OK as was the overall experience. It is more like 3.5 stars for me but I will round it down to 3.

It was good, and a good amount. I substituted the hummus for the baba ghanoush, which is the eggplant dip which I really really enjoy. It is a casual eatery, the seating is all outside in a covered patio setting, you lock up inside to place your order. They only have fountain drinks and I think some bottled drinks but they do not have any specialty drinks like the mint yogurt drink or lahssi or anything like that. This is a Halal restaurant. They do have a single restroom which was reasonably clean. This is basically a self service very casual type of place, so if you're looking for a situation with table service where you're going to be waited on and fully catered to this would not be the spot. But if you are OK with a very casual setting or would even prefer this type of setting because you just want to be left alone to read or talk on the phone while you eat type of thing then this is good. I would definitely recommend and I would eat here again. I also liked the square shaped plates, I've just always liked square chargers or plates more than round or oval personally so that was just an extra little plus.

The beef shawarma was so tender and the flavors had so much complexity to it. The chicken didn't quite pack the same flavor punch but the chicken was tender and juicy and you could taste all the different seasonings. I ended up getting the chicken shawarma plate on rice and it did not disappoint. Already mentioned the chicken but the rice is also very flavorful. Has a rich almost buttery flavor. It complements the chicken well. The pita is thin and not the typical fluffy pita bread you might think of. I do wish there was a little more of it but that's a minor complaint. The garlic sauce packs a punch and the red sauce is a spicy and tangy flavor. The hummus is very light and maybe because everything else was so flavor forward, this was a little bland in comparison. The people were really nice and friendly and for less than $20 to get a really tasty meal plus a drink is rare. I will definitely come back.

I dropped by on a Saturday afternoon, where a few other patrons were already dining. The seating has around 6 or so tables inside that can fit around 4 each, and they also have high chairs for children! I ordered a number 17, which is the gyro, and got a side of hummus and pita then found a table to sit at. I had just finished buckling my child into the high chair when my order was delivered to my table! They are super fast here! The super friendly waiter delivered my meal, and I dug in. The gyro was stuffed with meat! This is a huge deal, since a lot of places skimp and don't give enough. So extra points to Al Hamra for a job well done. The flavor of the meat was juicy and well seasoned, super delish! The hummus and pita was good, although I usually add a bit of spices to my hummus so this one was a little plainer than I'm used to. Either way, it was a nice addition to the meal. The grand finale were the desserts! I usually go for baklava, but decided to try the knafeh, a layered cheese dessert with syrup and pistachios. Get the knafeh! The warm cheese and syrup were so delicious and made for the perfect ending to a good meal! Honestly, the highlight for me was the warm pita served with garlic mayo, so much better than the cold or room-temperature pitas you often get at otherMediterranean spots. We also shared dessert, the kulfi cheesecake, and left completely stuffed. Al Hamra is a cozy family-run restaurant with just a few tables, but the food makes it well worth it. I'll definitely rotate between this spot and Chicken Maison for future visits.

Now for the food -- the pizza was delicious with the perfect amount of toppings. The sweet and tangy BBQ sauce really brought everything together. Slightly crispy on the outside while still delicate and moist inside, with a mild heat from the spices that wasn't overpowering. The naan was decent with a good garlic flavor, although it was a bit thin for my preference. The salad was fresh and delicious -- we always appreciate having plenty of vegetables with our meals. Next time I think I'm going to adventure on the wild side and try the medium and then possibly the spicy. The included salad was simple yet so satisfying. The dressing is definitely unique and packs a punch with the spice level but... I like it. *wink* *wink* hahhaa. The rice was perfection.
