Mashawi Grill is one of my favorite kabob establishments in the Los Angeles area. Located in North…read moreRedondo Beach, it's convenient to access since it is right off the Inglewood Ave exit on the 405. Their chicken kabob is very well marinated. You can tell the flavors penetrated into the meat and cooked until soft and tender. A plate gives you a choice of 3 sides and 1 or 2 skewers of meat. I opted for Yellow Rice, Hummus, and Tabouli and 2 skewers of meat (pita bread and labne included.) It was a lot of food! One plate fed me 3 times and there were still leftovers to make a small kabob wrap. The service was amazing! Even though I placed my order to go, the sweet lady asked if I wanted to include condiments, utensils, drinks, and she even offered suggestions off the menu that she enjoys. She was very kind and friendly and I just love an establishment that takes pride in their restaurant and their customers. Pricing is very affordable for top notch food. I highly recommend Mashawi Grill.

Oooh, this review is long overdue!…read more I absolutely LOVE Mashawi Grill. Every time I'm craving something fresh and flavorful, this is where I go. I'm vegan, so I always order the Mashawi Salad without chicken and substitute falafel, with no cheese. And let me tell you--it hits the spot EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The garlic spread is hands down my favorite, and the spicy hummus is absolutely incredible. Everything is always fresh, packed with flavor, and consistently delicious. I've been coming here for over 5 years, and I honestly can't remember a single time I've been disappointed. It's one of those places that never lets me down and always satisfies the craving. Highly recommend!

I would've never thought to eat around this area but I was in the area driving back East to go home and stumbled upon pictures and great reviews. I definitely recommend this place if you are in the area. It's nothing fancy but the food is delicious and the hummus was so fresh. I was in heaven when I realized there was a jar of garlic sauce on the table for us-- genius idea because people don't have to ask for more of this addictive sauce! I'd want to come back just to stock up on those hummuses! Service was okay as they were very busy but employees were very friendly!

The rice is not overdone or underdone, it's just the write kind of plump to it, the chicken itself was flavorful and not dry. Typical Mediterranean salad, get their taziki sauce off the table to top it off some more if you'd like. What bummed me out is the pita bread they provide for the hummus was too dry, hey we're not quite a chip, but definitely not soft pita. Gotta give this place a 4, for now. Their pita bread game needs some work, everything else seems to work well though! Come try their hummus, they are out of this world.

This place wreaks of "I want to pretend to be a chef/cook, to make money but have no idea on earth what it takes to do it". I HIGHLY recommend, the cook go to culinary school before opening a place to sell food. There was no one in the restaurant when we arrived. We ordered chicken wings (came out under cooked) they were littered with cilantro..why? Who does that? And the plate was splashed with buffalo mostly missing the wings. As if a baker would do with a dessert plate and some Carmel or chocolate drizzle. Weird. The mozzarella sticks were from Costco. And he laid them on one single piece of iceberg lettuce leaf. No marinara. Just cheese sticks and an old leaf. I recommend a few classes in plating your dishes. I also ordered water and an iced tea. He charged us $5. He then proceeded to walk outside to the liquor store nearby and purchased an off brand bottle of water and a lemon iced tea and gave it to us. Lol talk about unprofessional. Imagine ordering a burger from a new place and they take your money and walk across the street and bring you a Big Mac. Wild It took 37 mins to get our appetizers (wings and mozzarella sticks) At the one hour mark I had enough. I asked him to refund me my money as it was taking way too long for our food. And I noticed he was JUST starting the pizza we ordered sprinkling mixed cheddar cheese from Costco on it...WITH NO GLOVES. I've eaten pizza all over the world and have NEVER seen a pizza made with pre shredded Costco cheddar cheese. He then said "I already made your chicken kabob plate" and pointed to a plate that had about four inches of lettuce and a chicken kabob lying on top..sitting there getting cold. I asked how long before you bring me both, he said "about 10 mins". lol The best thing that happened about my experience is that I got a refund. But you can't refund my time. Honestly, I wasn't going to share my experience but when I seen that I wasn't the first that had this level of unprofessionalism, I changed my mind. I applaud anyone stepping up and trying to be successful in whatever endeavor they choose but when you are so ill equipped that it clearly is a hindrance to your progress, and you choose to ignore it instead of trying to make changes to make things better, that's a problem. There's a huge responsibility when cooking food and serving the public. You can make people very sick and or kill someone. I recommend this business be closed down. If you're reading this and are contemplating eating here, you've been warned. DO NOT EAT HERE!

Between the food, the generous portions, and the way they treat their customers, it's a place I'm always happy to support. My usual order is the King Bowl with gyro, half salad and half rice, and extra King sauce. The gyro is always cooked to perfection, and the combination of salad and rice gives me the best of both worlds. The extra King sauce is a must for me and brings the whole bowl together. They're also incredibly generous with the portions, so I never leave feeling like they held back. What really makes this place special, though, is the service. I've known Nora and Ara since I first started coming here more than ten years ago, and they've consistently been welcoming and kind. It means a lot to keep coming back to a place after all these years and still receive that same level of care, both in the food and in how you're treated. They provide an outside patio with both stand up tabletops as well as tables and chairs. King Mediterrano is one of those spots I recommend without hesitation. If you're craving Mediterranean food in the South Bay, do yourself a favor and stop by. Get the King Bowl, don't forget the extra King sauce, and come hungry. They will not disappoint.
