They helped us choose the right assortment (the samples we were given was an added bonus) and allowed us to do custom donuts as well! Our wedding venue was across the street so they walked all the donuts over to us too. The service we got was outstanding and the donuts were equally amazing. They were loved by all of our guests and they even provided us with vegan options for those who had dietary restrictions. Overall we were blown away by how helpful they were and how incredibly delicious the donuts were. As if all that wasn't enough they made us custom giant donuts with our names and wedding date on it! Had some really good donuts here this past week. I have been looking for at least a decent donut shop somewhere in the vicinity of my morning commute, and I think I may have found it. Lucky for my co-workers. It's right next to the Vista icon otherwise known as Peppertree Frosty. As mentioned by others, the blueberry donut was very good. It was like a super tasty fluffy blueberry muffin, but in the shape of a donut. The chocolate donut I had was lightly crispy, and tasted as good as I would expect. They are solidly good donuts. The place just smells like an old fashioned bakery- that sugary, chocolately whiff of air that makes you forget you are in the Vista ghetto for a second, just a second though. I have to admit I ate 4 which... on my diet I am going to have to work out for the next what ? Until tomorrow to burn it off. Their is an obvious difference in the frosting and quality of these donuts, the frosting just melts in your mouth and has a unique taste to it. We had some house guests over night and were needed a quick breakfast for a big group of boys, so I looked on Yelp to find the closest GOOD (4+ rating at least!) since we are new in town, and came upon Danny's Donuts. I drove down and mentioned to the gal behind the counter that it was my first time, and she was super nice and helpful! She gave me a few samples of their awesome donut and cream filled puffs, and suggested two donut types that they make special there, and MAN, I'm glad I listened!!! You HAVE to try their blueberry donuts AND their Apply Betty's! I LOVE apple fritters, and the Apple Betty's are like a cross between and apple fritter and a cinnamon roll! Arrived early on a Saturday morning. The line was already a 7-10 people long so i knew this place exceeded its reputation. The cashier was able to quickly get people though the line. Danny's doughnuts is another neighborhood business that Is across the street from where I live. Apparently they've been in the neighborhood for years so they are very popular and a lot of the vista natives go here for doughnuts. Their doughnuts are ok really nothing to write home about. I've had better doughnuts at several random doughnut shops. I am a huge fan of glaze rounds, glaze twists, chocolate, cake/crumb doughnuts and old fashioned ones. I'd have to say that they lack on sweetness and taste more like bread with a hint of sweetness and weren't very tender/soft or pillowy like I love for a doughnut to be. They did have a seasonal Blueberry cake doughnut that was my go to that was very delicious but again the rest of the doughnuts are just ok. I can't say they were disgusting but it's not a spot to break your neck to get to. They also serve fresh brewed coffee it was pretty good and didn't have the over roasted burnt taste that places tend to have so that's a plus. P found the place on Yelp ordered up a small apple fritter with his coffee...and then made the mistake of asking me if I wanted to taste it. Went back and got a large one and we split that. Hands down the most amazing, fluffy delicious apple fritter I've ever had my entire life! I've passed by Danny's Donuts probably a hundred times, but I'm always so focused in on Peppertree that I've never noticed it. Well, Saturday morning I was looking for donuts and low and behold I pass Danny's. I pull a quick U-turn and head straight for the donut window. All the donuts are presented at the front walk up window (similar to Peppertree). The lady who owns it, assumingly with her husband Danny, is the cutest woman I have ever seen. She was so kind and so sweet. I ordered 2 cinnamon roll donuts and donut holes. Although I didn't try them, the kids gobbled those things up so fast and even ate my donut holes. Needless to say, they are huge fans. Danny's definitely has my Saturday morning donut business for sure. Next time I am going to order a dozen and try as many new varieties as I can. An amazing cinnamon-ny long donut trying to be a croissant and filled with apple pie filling. Its a mouth full of deliciousness! My other recommendation IMO is the blueberry donut.
