Worst driest pizza I ever had, and even driest the next day for lunch. I ordered a Large Crosstown Classic and I ordered Grilled Peach salad. Who can mess up a salad ? "DANNY'S " I seen their video of thr juicy fully loader pizza on FB, my mouth was watering it looked amazing . Then I seen a picture of the Grilled peach and Burratta salad. So ordered both , I really excited. When I opened my salad it was a mess , it looked like it had fallen, but tried it anyway. The peaches were dry and the dressing they used was nearly non existent on my salad and it had no flavor. But I thought well at least I have the great Crosstown pizza. The pizza was worse. I felt like I received the Temu version of pizza. I don't think my pizza had any sauce it was dry, the pepperoni were mini and tje sausage was minimal. I have had tastier pizza from the frozen section. I ordered on Sunday 8/16 and picked up around 1:15 pm. I don't know if the cook is angry at their manager or if they are being treated poorly but this was the worst pizza and salad I ever had in my life. I actually threw the rest away.

First time here, heard good things around town about this spot. The reviews match the experience. Good service, casual space. Great wings and pizza. All the food around us looked good too .

I had never ordered from here and it was my first time. They don't deliver to my area which is by Midway and so I ordered anyways saying I'd pick it up. Wasn't greeted when I stepped in to get my order. The people inside looked off and it gave me a wierd look. Not sure why - There were 3 girls working there and I asked for my pick up they had it ready but no thank you nor nothing. This place felt a bit off. The pizza was kinda cold and I Arrived 10 minutes before it was suppose to be ready And I like my pizza thin and it was nicely thin and crispy but still not as hot im as I'd like. I then looked up this place and it's history and realized why some were looking at me. Keep in mind I didn't see as many Latinos in here and now I know why. I'm Latina and this place supports the the Orange man in office. I won't be giving them my business.

Amazing, fun, place great wings, amazing pizza lovely staff.

Pizza was amazing. They have a lot of TVs for any sportsman. Outdoor patio is great and they have parking across the street behind Sherwin-Williams.

This was the supreme pizza we had at our table.

Great spot to check out when on the Southside! They have a jukebox and there's always good deals. Love the food and drinks.

This was my last bite thought the cheese felt weird and this is what I pulled out of my mouth after chewing on it for a min

I was there on Tuesday for my sister's and niece bday at first I thought it was cool place 1st time there after that we brought home left over pizza and had me a piece that night had A hair in the piece I bit into ... didn't think anything... maybe mine so I disregard it... today finished the last two pieces took the last bite the cheese was hard to separate as I looked at the cheese to see what's wrong it's a wad of hair not one strand but a wad of hair so grossed out thought about revisiting that place but since they add hair to their pizza never again... so grossed out . Please be aware of the staff and how they wear there hair in the kitchen trying to add pictur of the hair I was chewing on

Mushroom and bacon burger on sourdough bread , sweet potato fries.. Thank you.

The food is super delicious. We ordered two burgers and sweet potato fries . Excellent service, they make you feel welcomed. The place is cozy, clean and great country music not loud at all. We definitely will be back and highly recommend. 10/10

Service was extremely slow. All three orders came out cold. Didn't want to wait any longer so we just dealt with it. Food was below average.

Pequod's Pizza near DePaul is definitely a busy spot! While it looks modest from the outside, it…read moreactually spans two floors. It was the perfect setup to book a movie across the street and have a reservation laid out ahead of time here. We were seated upstairs, which had a cute tavern vibe complete with pop music playing and sports on the TVs. I started off with a Haymarket Honey Ale, which was very light with a delicious yeasty aftertaste. Once we put our food order in, it took just 5 minutes for the cheese corners to arrive. They came out shaped like triangle nuggets with a light golden crust and a wet marinara on the side. They didn't look super impressive at first glance, but as soon as you bite into one, the cheese pull is impressive and tastes great--like a thicker, elevated mozzarella stick! About 30 minutes after ordering, the main event arrived: a deep dish pizza with sausage, mushroom, and giardiniera (Note: I was told that sometimes it can take a long time for the cook so just be mindful in case you come through starving.) The crust was buttery with crispy bits, a little doughy, and those legendary caramelized, charred edges were absolute perfection--the real star of the show that felt like a total hug in my mouth! The sausage was so good, with a cook that mirrored the crust with just a slight crisp edge, while the giardiniera added a nice touch of acidity to balance out the fat. The toppings were evenly spread, and after two slices of a large pie, I was completely stuffed. As a new resident, this was my very first Chicago deep dish experience, and I very much enjoyed it. Pequod's completely lived up to the hype for me!

My interest in visiting Pequod's Pizza came after watching LATRYGUY, a foodie YouTuber I have been…read morefollowing lately. As a fellow foodie, I am always looking for new spots to try--whether they are in Chicago, the surrounding Chicagoland area, or outside the state of Illinois. I honestly feel as though you cannot order from Pequod's and not get a pan pizza! Pan pizza is the entire essence of Pequod's; in my opinion, it is almost a crime not to order it. I ended up ordering their 7" personal pan pizza for lunch on a day when I was craving either pizza or pho. Whether using Grubhub or Uber Eats, I love ordering online for the convenience and the ability to schedule a pickup time. Most of the time, my orders are ready--or nearly ready--upon arrival. By the time I reached the restaurant, my order was almost finished. If you are someone who orders online as faithfully as I do, just keep an eye on the tracker for the notification that your food is ready. Because of this smooth experience, the likelihood of me ordering online from this location again is very high. I will warn you: if you are driving to this location, the curb sits high outside the storefront, so be mindful of that if you have a smaller vehicle. Parking is pay-to-park and shared by other businesses along Clybourn Ave. Remember to give yourself plenty of space when parallel parking; it can get tight since this restaurant has a consistent flow of customers moving in and out. During my brief visit, I noticed customers either carpooling or being dropped off, which I highly recommend if you plan on visiting this Pequod's location. Now, as for my food! "A cute little pan pizza," was my first thought after receiving the box from the employee. It was so adorable that looking at the box made me almost regret not ordering a larger size. However, its actual appearance took me by surprise once I opened it. After unwrapping the pizza from the aluminum foil, I saw its charred, caramelized cheese ring around the edge, a heavy crushed-tomato and herb sauce on top, and a stringy mozzarella pull in the center that was sticking to the foil. That sight alone made me salivate in anticipation of my first bite. I brought out gloves for this because I didn't dine in. Instead, I just pulled into a park and enjoyed this "cute little pan pizza" from Pequod's, which tasted incredible! The rich, tangy tomato sauce packed a serious punch that made me smile with enjoyment as I carefully avoided getting it on my hospital scrubs. Don't be deceived by the look of those charred edges, either--they are completely edible and delicious! You don't need to worry even if you have sensitive teeth. After finishing the last bite, I wiped my mouth and declared, "That was good!". If you are like me in search for something light, then I highly recommend their 7" personal pan pizza because it will leave you satisfied. In closing, I had a great ordering experience, as indicated in my review of Pequod's Pizza. Thanks to LATRYGUY for bringing this to my attention; I am happy to share my endorsement of this business with the Yelp community. I also want to point out that I am connected to 13 quality Yelpers who have already shared their excellent feedback about this location. I didn't mind waiting because it gave me and my partner a chance to look over the menu more and ask our server for recs, to which he recommend the Lou Malnatis salad. This salad honestly blew my expectations and I can see why it's such a crowd favorite - the roasted salami bits and gorgonzola cheese provided a really nice savory contrast with the sweet vinaigrette they used. When it comes to the deep dish pizza however, I think deep dish style just isn't for me. You can taste all the ingredients (the cheese, tomato sauce and sausage) but they don't really come together in a cohesive manner. I had one bite and I didn't really feel compelled to take another after, it reminded me of my own home cooking when I would add too much tomato sauce and overcooked the cheese on a lasagna. I'm not saying deep dish pizza or Lou Malnatis is bad necessarily, the service was friendly and attentive, I just think a regular pizza is more my speed.

Giordano's does the delivery themselves (though I ordered on DoorDash). The food arrived at the perfect temperature, everything was packed well and they even included plates. Our delivery was almost 45 minutes late but we had time before our show. Even that was ok - the wait for a table at the restaurant was much longer than 45 minutes. As for Chicago pizza, I've had it once at Pizzeria Uno in a strip mall far from Chicago. It was good but since I was in Chicago, I wanted authentic. And once again, Giordano's delivered. Perfectly baked crust - just buttery goodness with a little bit of crunch. The buried cheese was generous and ooey-gooey like it should have been. The chunky sauce on top was a tad sweet but maintained the acidity of the tomatoes. I always overestimate how much we can eat. I knew I was going to order a pizza but the Giordano's sampler looked too good to overlook. Fried mozzarella, boneless wings, bruschetta and garlic bread. Even though we had the app, we started with the pizza. One piece was enough for each of us and all either of us could do was take a nibble or two of each item. I knew in just one nibble that I didn't like the garlic bread. Everything else was great. Unfortunately, our flight out was at 5am so leftovers really weren't in the cards for us. I'm still a little sad about that. Next time we're in Chicago, Giordano's will definitely be on the todo list.

The server was nice and we got some appetizers started because we had to wait for about 40min before our pizza arrived. The garlic cheese bread was good and flavorful. The fries were fried nicely and it was quite delicious and both were good portions. We ordered the smallest deep dish pizza size. I think it was called meat on meat. When we got it it looked cool but there was not a lot of meat on it to be honest. The cheese was stretchy but maybe it was just that day or pizza, the dough was very thicky and gooey like. Either it was underbaked or there was a lot of liquid so it made the dough filling and unappetizing. One slice was plenty but I wish they added more meat on top because it didn't seem like it lived up to its name. They also sold merch and the restaurant was red and it had an oldie style which was cool and unique!

We ended up doing a walk-in on a Sunday night and showed up at 8 PM one hour before close. This worked out for us because we got a really good seat after only waiting for 20 minutes. Service is good and timely- the hostess was super kind and helpful. We started with some cocktails- a Negroni & a spritz (both were good & pretty strong). Then we split the Caesar salad and a pizza with half sausage/olive and mushroom/onion. Yeah, the pizza did blow me away- the crust is perfectly crunchy and so so thin. I wouldn't even describe it as traditional tavern style pizza because I think it's a really crunchy crust- but it's definitely wayyyyy better than Dimi Dimi (that's the most comparable crust imo). The sauce has a slight spice to it, and the whole pizza just feels very layered in terms of flavorful profile. The sausage was also spicy but very good and I absolutely loved the mushroom and onion duo. Sometimes when you go to a certain pizza places, it doesn't feel worth it, but all the ingredients felt elevated here and the pizza had an elevated taste. The Caesar salad had a nice light dressing and a ton of cheese. I wish that the lettuce had a bit more of a crunch to it, but they seemed to use butter lettuce. The inside feels like a classic Italian joint, but it's very small and simple Overall, so glad that I finally went and although it's not a place that I would go regularly because I live far, I would definitely come back!
