Danny's is where I spent most of my Monday nights while making the arduous trek through undergrad. Even when I moved to Denton, I still made the forty-minute drive back to Danny's every Monday night to get dinner with my friends and close down the bar with all the usuals. The bartenders and waiters became our close friends and always filler the night with laughter and good memories. Their patio is comfortable and exciting; you'll always find yourself fighting over the next game of giant jenga! The fun escalates quickly with their great Monday night drink specials and absurdly tasty mac & cheese. Here's a hint: get the large portion with beef. I can almost guarantee that you'll finish it...unless you're that one weird person who doesn't love white cheddar and brisket! read more

I love this place. I weny one time with a coworker and was impressed. The drinks are real cheap and at night it caters to a go young crowd if 20 some things. I have gotten my friend to come up and they all fell in love. Its a great location and the staff is super friendly. read more

Bars and smoke usually go hand in hand. I think this place may pipe smoke in from every other bar in TX. Definetly one of the most smoke filled places I've ever been. On the positive, beer was very reasonably priced. I hope the owners fix the ventilation. I won't go back until I hear otherwise. read more

I love this place it's like my family everyone is friendly they have a great staff now that know what they are doing. The owners are amazing people they go out of their way to great all the new faces and they always say hi to you when they come in. Some people write bad reviews on here I don't understand why the prices are low and the food is great yes they are a smoking pub but every pub in Ireland and Scotland are smoking if you don't like the smoke they have a patio with fresh air. If you havent been into the pub yet you should try it the food is amazing and while have you coming back again and again so you can enjoy everything on the menu. read more

My wife and I wanted to try their advertised daily specials, we picked out a Friday, went in the front door. We made it in approximately 2 feet and needed a shovel to clear away the heavy smoke, couldn't breath, we immediately turned around and departed. We will not go back, unless they go smokeless. read more

I went to this restaurant with a group of 12 others, and we were disgusted and shocked with the smokers. Needless to say we left without even sitting down. Get with the program, eliminate the smokers and you might have a better clientele. I am so thankful that nearly every other restaurant in the state of Texas doesn't allow smoking. To all smokers: please quit. If you can't then practice your nasty habits OUTSIDE, away from us non-smokers. Nobody wants to smell your tobacco clothing or breath. You smokers have a right to smoke and pollute your lungs, but you have no right to pollute mine. So smoke outside so I can breathe inside. read more

Shockingly good food. The Shepherd's Pie is to die for - big bowl of beefy pie topped with mashed potatoes and cheese. The burger was good, too, served with homemade potato chips - the best I've had anywhere. Wish they had more beers on tap but we made do with draft Guinness, bottled Newcastle Brown, and bottled Abita Mardi Gras. It took awhile to get used to the smoke but the food was so good we will be back. read more

Great food and service. I would give them 5 stars if they had Celtic music more often. The local Celtic community needs more venues for our very talented performers, and I was really hoping Danny's would help us out. They only have Celtic bands on rare occasions, which has been very disappointing to those of us in the community. Friendly atmosphere. Lots of smiling faces. Takes too long to get your food ordered and served, but if you want to smiply hang out with some cool peeps, this place is it. Nice music too. Pretty smokey, so expect that. Next time I go, I'll make sure I am not starving. It's cool though. read more

My husband and I received 2 $25 gift certificates from Restaurant.com and this pub is right around the corner from our house, so we were excited to try it out. The first time we went the food was good, my husband had a burger and I had clam chowder and crab cakes, They were very good! We also had drinks so I think our bill came to $40 or $45 with the drinks. We gave our waitress the gift certificate and she took off the $25 from our bill. We returned this past weekend and ordered two dinners and had drinks again, gave our waiter the gift certificate and he said we can't use it because it doesn't go towards alcohol. What? It's a gift certificate!? He said we need to order $50 worth of food in order to use it. It's kinda hard to order $50 worth of food at a pub, seriously. He said it's policy, but the first gal took it so I'm not sure what happened. We left highly disappointed, not sure how we can use the second certificate. I guess I'll have to order a bunch of food to go that we won't be able to finish ourselves to just go to waste. read more

Love Danny's! It's great to have a neighborhood pub with superb food! I have never had any bad food and have ordered almost everything on the menu. The Mac and cheese with fajita beef on top, the chicken fried steak, and the shepherds pie are especially good. The portion sizes are extremely generous!! Everyone is very friendly and personable! The live music, the dart boards, and the juke box make the atmosphere so much fun. We just love the owners who cater to everyone's needs and we are super happy that Danny's came into fruition!!! read more

(i luckily hadn't even bothered w/ Yelp before going-- i COMPLETELY disagree w/ the previous posts. ok, mostly, anyway) Buddy from work & i headed straight over on a weeknight and were super lucky to get Cannon, a Waitress who gets the great balance of friendliness and distance. she checked on us enough and intuitively guessed what we needed when she did, but we didn't get sick of her, and--major kudos alert--she actually LET US FINISH our drinks before shoving some check down our throats. really yay vibe from her. the food was SURPRISINGLY good, especially my chicken salad on foccacia w/ their yummy oh-what-the-hell fried chips (? !), for under $6. the bread was perfect, the lettuce actually was green, the red onions were fresh, as was the 'mater, and the salad itself . . . yup, damn good. my 2nd Happy Hr vodka tonic was way better than the 1st, but they both were $2, so i'm not crying. the patio was absolutely perfect on this end-of-summer night, but quite a bit less so when the table next to us, apparently disbelievers of the posted No Smoking on the Patio sign posted before you even get out there, lit up for the entire night. their waitress badly handled our politely pointing it out (she's not as cool as Cannon), which is why Danny's'll only get 4 stars. at least for now. a welcome addition to the sorely lacking watering hole scene in Bedford. read more

I have been looking forward to Danny's opening for some time. The atmosphere is good, not quite "pubish" enough in the since of traditional Irish Pubs, but still nice vib. I guess it can be described as a modern pub. There were regulars in the place and even if you are new you like to see people who are returning. The wait staff was great! Just enough attention, but not in your face and very friendly. The food was awesome! I spoke to several others enjoying their meal and ask and they all raved about the food. Danny's has a good, not great draft beer selection. I would like to see Smithwicks and other more traditional dark beers, but overall a good selection. The bartenders know their business and make a great drink. My wife enjoyed her cocktail(s) a bit much. I did not get a chance to check out the Patio, but plan to soon. The only thing that drops the rating is the smoking in the pub. I am not saying to go non-smoking, but an investment in smoke filters would help. The smoke is so strong that it started to effect the taste of the food. After leaving the smoke was still very strong on our clothes and body. Great Pub, but please get some filters. read more
