Formerly Ricky's Pizza, Danny's opened last week. Went in, ordered chicken fingers and pizza fries, something any short order cook should get right. Wrong! The quality of the chicken was very poor- pressed chicken with mystery gristle and fat that made Chicken McNuggets look gourmet. Pizza fries were lacking- very little red sauce, and they didn't heat them long enough for the cheese to melt. Waitress never came back to check on us, or offer drink refills, something we both anxiously awaited. Had to flag down the waitress to get the check and get the hell out of there. read more

We went there last night my daughter and I. We were waited on by a girl who couldn't have been more than 10 and one who was probably 14. My daughter had the ranchero pizza she enjoyed I ordered a bacon cheesesteak. Took about 45 minutes! It wasn't crowded. They gave us bread no butter then 15 minutes later gave us a dish of dipping oil. Are you kidding. Everyone in the place had to ask for silverware . I overheard people saying this isn't my order and I didn't order this and you forgot this. I requested my cheesesteak made a certain way with ketchup and mayo on it. They didn't do it. I asked for raspberry iced tea they gave me unsweetened. Then I looked over in the case of drinks there was Snapple raspberry iced tea. I just wouldn't go back there. Trenton tomato pie is alive and well in Ewing. My wife and I are die-hard Delorenzo's fans and tried Danny's after working our way through the other tomato pie/pizza options in Ewing (Palermo's, Red Star, Mamma Flora's, Villa Rosa, etc). Danny's is, hands-down, the best by far - which is odd, because we hadn't heard of it even though they've been open for more than six months. The crust is nearly perfect and the sauce is fresh. Seriously, the best pie we've had next to Delorenzo's. Can't recommend it enough. Not to mention, the staff were extremely friendly, both on the phone and in person. I do not understand any of the negative reviews? The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, the service is prompt, and the food is delicious, and affordable. In fact, the food appears to be made from scratch. They use real cheese and tomatoes. Recommended without any reservations. read more

On my lunch break, this afternoon, I can in to order something quick. After finishing no pizza that looked appealing I decided to order a Chicken Cheese steak, FRIES, and a coke. They got 1 for 3 even close to correct. I got a Chicken cheese steak with onions lettuce and tomatoes. NO FRIES!! And a coke when I had to ask for it. I wnt back in to ask about the order... I was told I order this, and was told I never asked for fries, but got charged for them oddly, and they looked at me like I was a idiot. Really, 3.5 stars. Very close to the gold standard Trenton Tomato Pie. The consistency of the crust is exactly what you would expect from DeLorenzo's, et al; it even held up to multiple toppings. The crust's flavor, however, was not 100% "there." Can't put my finger on it, but it was missing a little something. Prices are quite reasonable, at $11 for a large plain, and $16.95 for a large "works" (pepperoni, sausage, peppers, mushrooms). Staff are pleasant and friendly. Hopefully this place will catch on. read more

I don't know, but the buffalo chicken rolls reminded me of canned chicken with Frank's red hot sauce mixed in it deep fried and dried up in a wrapper. I was seriously, seriously bummed. I wanted to emotional eat today. I wanted to be bad, and was only able to choke down one half of a dried up canned chicken and frank's red hot roll. I'm not even sure if it was chicken. My co workers and I agree it almost had a tuna fish consistency which made it even more gross. Which leads me to be almost sure this is canned chicken. Deep fried, canned chicken. I should be saying thank you because now I have no appetite and probably won't eat dinner because I'm a little grossed out and can't get the canned chicken frank's taste out of my mouth. Great! Someone said they posted a review and now it's gone--there are two separate "Danny's" on Yelp so it is probably posted in the other listing. They are both the same place! One says Marazzos and the other says Parkway Ave Anyway, I don't normally like pizza but I ordered with my boyfriend and loved it! Thin pie and just the right amount of sauce. Good quality ingredients on my boyfriend's all-white pie. I hope they continue to get more business. We will be ordering more frequently to check out their weekly specials :) read more

Great crispy crust. Not too heavy. Have had Grandma, Brooklyn, Tomato Pies and all have been consistently crisp and delicious.

The pizza was mediocre and they completely forgot about half of our order - then brought out the wrong salad.

Great crust, great price! The sauce needs more salt and a pinch more olive oil and basil to make this a 5 star rating. I am a first timer and was hoping for the best. read more

We've ordered from Danny's three times for delivery since they opened. Every time we ordered, the food arrived barely room temperature and they are located only 2 minutes away. When ordering the calzones, it says it includes two toppings. Well, make sure you order ricotta as one of your ingredients even thought I thought that's one of the ingredients in a calzone. The pizza is ok- nothing to rave about. The first and third time we made our order, there were errors. Won't be calling again and throwing out their menu. Not impressed. read more

Have gone to Danny's a number of times and the tomato pie is consistently prepared. Crust is crispy, chunks of tomato and light cheese. Do yourself a favor and give Danny's a try, you won't be disappointed. Ranks right up there with the best tomato pies in the Trenton area. read more

Delivery was slow, the delivery person in the red fire bird left a cigarette butt in my pizza and was rude when I didn't want to tip.
