Delicious, fresh food and the friendliest people. The place doesn't look like much and you'll walk in to see pizza boxes stacked everywhere and a heated glass case with fried chicken in it. They have great daily specials available at reasonable prices. The food always tastes homemade. This is one of our regular mainstay solid restaurants because the food quality is consistently good and you won't break the bank.

I'd be embarrassed to say how many times a month I order pick up from Danny's, but their menu is so diverse and family/staff so engaging that they totally wipe out any guilt or shame I feel for eating 1,426 empanadas a lunar cycle. I added a picture of one of said empanadas, it is absolutely glorious. Oh, and the fried chicken?! Dope. The cheesesteak was actually good with some flavor, the beef wasn't an unseasoned goop of protein. Aaaand it came with fries! No one gives you fries! And they're consistently good! Danny's, ftw.

Family atmosphere with the crispiest crust on a delicious upside down pizza! I'm from North Jersey where the cheese is on top!

What a freaking great pizza! This was my first Trenton tomato pie. Better than Frank Pepe's? Ahhh, apples and oranges. This pie is unique, and stands on its own; crispy thin crust, sharp cheese on the bottom, tangy crushed tomatoes on top. Comparisons with New Haven apizza would be misguided and wrong headed. I chose anchovies, sausage and mootz for my toppings. Large pizza with three toppings, and delivery, $23.00. Well done, Danny's, well done!

Oh, Danny Boy.... Why so unassuming? Why hidden in a forlorn strip of 20th Century retail excess? Why aren't you sharing your gift with the entire Tomato Pie craving world? The lights. The lights are calling...! Your T. Pie is among the best I have sampled in my pizza-loving life. It is in the local pantheon of greatness occupied only by a few other mozzarella souls - DeLo's, JoJo's, Ivy Tavern, Joey's, and a few others in the Mecca of the Pizza Universe, Brooklyn. Micro thin crust firm enough to hold the topside without a quiver. Sauce, chunky and mildly sweet with a hint of basil. Cheese hidden beneath with a gentle saltiness to balance the smiling acidity above. Not a single drop of oil on the aluminum tray despite a spritz of pressed olive applied as the final touch before reaching the oven. And, the sweet Italian sausage, home grown, and crumbled around the disk amply, with a wonderful aroma and fresh textured taste. Though you labor in obscurity, Danny, your artistry is not lost on those who treasure the magic only a steamy right out of the oven slice of heaven can provide.

Pizza was good and the employees were friendly. It would have been nice to be offered plates when dinning with three little children. They offered us house bread and oil, it was delicious. There was hardly anyone there when we came in. There is no where to sit for groups. Each table only accommodates four, so our family of five was awkwardly sitting around a table. There were three people in the restaurant when we came in, but they left shortly after we ordered. The employees were cooking a lot of pizzas, so they must have had some going out for delivery. I would have given more stars, but again, offer plates when there are children eating.

The ultimate breakfast came with pancakes or French toast, two eggs and a protein. There is a smaller combo that basically is the same size. I could've sworn in previous months or years that they also would give you toast and fruit or home fries on top of it. That would really make it the ultimate breakfast. But the portion size was a lot to be desired. I have the corned beef hash, which was OK, and it was not too salty, which I feared. However, I think they were using a lot more potatoes and only a little bit of corned beef which made it a little bit of a letdown. The service was pretty good and the ambience was as good as I remember. They got rid of the bocce ball in the front in order to have more tables outside. Time to try some other places.

It wasn't showing up on my account. I called the restaurant and they were able to find and confirm. I don't know if it's an Open Table glitch. They were so accommodating upon arrival when our party went from 9 people to 7. The staff was amazing and on top of everything. We ordered apps off the dining room menu but they let us order large pizzas instead of the 12" ones. We had calamari and bacon wrapped shrimp. I love that they offer the calamari in both fried and grilled. I was outvoted on the grilled but I have to say that the squid was perfectly cooked. Not chewy or fishy at all. Very tender. The breading was light and not greasy at all. The bacon wrapped shrimp were interesting. The shrimp were huge. They were drenched in BBQ sauce. I thought it was ok but I'm not sure about the flavor combo. We ordered a large plain and a large pepperoni. I thought the plain was delicious. The dough was good and not too much flop. The sauce was a bit sweet, which I like. The only issue is that the cheese and sauce didn't stick to the dough so it slid off while cutting. Overall, I think they did a great job with a large group during weekday lunch.

I tend to enjoy tomato based sauces that are not too sweetened with sugar since diabetes is on the rise. I also prefer freshly made food, especially pizzas or lasagnes--the way my mom used to make meals fresh out of the oven back in the eighties. The atmosphere is okay: I have gone there from time to time if I had nothing made at home, and was hungry right after grocery shopping next door. The ice cream place next door has a more congenial and pleasant atmosphere. Perhaps this place could be benefit from having a variety of sauces or fresher options on the menu, and less gruffer voice tones when customers are waiting for their meals. It felt like more of a pizza making factory than a place to sit and enjoy a delicious set of dishes. Their mozzarella sticks were really good, though, and a few waiters: kind and well mannered. But: their atmosphere and cuisine might reflect the times in which we live: rushed and in a jiffy like a quickie.
