Going to keep it simple. Their wood is ridiculously expensive per cord. $196 to be exact, that is dumped. Sign of the times because they still continue to live in the past while the rest of us who live in the future can @ any time say bye bye. Wood is a plentiful FREE COMMODITY which isn't made of GOLD if you are just burning it ? So why all the hoopla? Their wood is big chunks that in some cases have to be cut down with my chain saw just to get it in my wood burning fire stove. Better prices right under my nose on Facebook by typing in Fire Wood in the search engine. I found a company that delivered 2 cords of wood for $275 plus delivery of $25 bucks. Good quality also excellent square cuts. No Brainer to just pay $300 dollars. So shop around folks ! read more

It has been 24 hours since we were notified by my neighbor that a huge tree in our backyard was splitting down the middle of the trunk. Upon our own inspection, my husband and I were devastated by what we saw. Swaying in the gusty winds and rain of storm Riley, the tree was in a most precarious situation, ready to fall and do major damage, not only to our home, but 3 other homes. I was sick to my stomach. I immediately called a tree service person who came over promptly. He assessed the situation and took pictures as I stood next to him in the cold rain pelting into our faces. He explained how even though this tree was in imminent danger of falling, there was nothing he could do. He advised me to contact the neighbors who would be affected and he also told my husband and I to sleep somewhere else until the tree could be removed. Fast forward to Saturday morning: we slept in a "safe" part of our house and when I woke up, I started calling several tree companies. The original company I called would not have been able to do the work immediately. After a few calls, Dean, from Dank called me back and came over promptly. He quoted a VERY fair price and not only was the price fair but he said a crew could come over by noon! We were happy but still anxious. I forgot to mention in this timeline, that an hour or so after I alerted my neighbors behind my house and next to my house, half the tree fell over into the 2 yards behind us. Everyone was ok and there was miraculously, little damage to property, except for a fence being severly trashed. The heavier, bigger part of the tree, was now ready to fall on our roof. Well, Dank's crew arrived at 11am, an hour early!! Rene, the man who climbed this tree, and worked with his crew with such precision and care, was fearless and tireless as he worked with the men like a human assembly line. They removed the tree and then removed the fallen part of the tree in 3 hours! I have never been so grateful in my life for service rendered. Dank tree experts came to the rescue! I felt incredibly helpless during this storm, with this failing tree ( that was otherwise healthy; it had buds coming up already ). One of their workers damaged my border paving stones on my brick driveway while using a stump grinder. He also nicked up the bottom of my neighbor's pvc fence post. They also put my fence post back in poorly after the job and when we had a storm a few months later it swayed back & dented my new gutter really badly. One of their workers in charge of the crew is rude & unprofessional. Rob, the owner, who I called to let him know about the damage I described above did not believe me & eventually just hung up on me. He did not take responsibility for the sloppy work of his crew. Also, a lot of the stumps they left me weren't even cut that low. A landscaper I had in for an estimate to clean up the piles they left me with noticed that & said it was a "sloppy job." Unless you are completely removing trees or maybe you are looking to upset your neighbors, I do NOT recommend you use Dank Tree Experts. Our neighbors used this service to trim back some branches of our large tree that was slightly hanging over their side of the fence after we had trimmed them back significantly last year. Please note that this tree is nowhere near their house or in any way a danger as we had it assessed and trimmed by a reputable company last year. While our neighbors are legally allowed to trim our trees, be aware that the tree service is not legally allowed to come on to your property and climb up your tree without your explicit permission. This company was deceitful by requesting to come on to our property to pick up any falling branches and when we left for work, they came on to our property, climbed our tree without our permission and improperly cut off all limbs at the fence line. They did not take any consideration of the health of the tree and did not use proper techniques for trimming trees that a properly certified arborist would have otherwise made sure of. They have jeopardized the integrity of our 100+ year old tree by doing so. Their actions were extremely deceitful and unprofessional. read more

We have used Dank Tree Experts for a number of jobs (small and large) over the years and they have proved to be reliable, reasonably/fairly priced and importantly, professional. They also have shown to be responsible by timely returning telephone calls and showing up for appointments, etc. Rob, one of their estimators, showed up on time and has been available for telephone calls to answer questions and/or address any concerns/issues that may have arisen. We have even recommended Dank to our friends and relatives. Check out other companies (that may end up giving you a lower price) but remember that you usually get what you pay for. Beware these guys! They came to my residence the day after a big rain storm and sunk an 11,000 pound wood chipper in my back yard. Two long, deep gulleys in the grass and compressed ruts across a paver patio. So far it has cost me $200 to fix the grass area. I can only imagine the cost to lift the pavers and reset. After getting the chipper unstuck, they tried to raise the price since they now had to carry out all the wood instead of chip it in place. I refused to pay more since I knew the damage would cost me. They left me with the mess. Big boss man Robert came to the house later on and admitted that the guys should have known better. I agreed to handle the restoration of the yard if he'd come back and honor the price. He agreed and told me that he'd call me to schedule. But instead, no call at all. Nearly two months passed and a sales rep made a call to follow up on an open bid he found. I told him the story and he promised to have Robert cal me. Still no call and it's been several more weeks. Highly not recommended. Very unprofessional outfit. Would never use or consider. Who destroys someone's yard and never makes good on it? If you choose to use these people, be very careful. Firewood burns great day 1 , I have only used these guys for wood deliveries , not any tree services. However two years in a row they provided me with quality burn able seasoned wood , a cord was delivered to the top of my driveway for $196 , and I'm enjoying a fire in my fire pit as I write the review. I was really clear I wanted seasoned wood able to burn on day 1 and they delivered. They answer my phone call on the first ring scheduled an appointment and called me the day before w a time and they were on point. I will use again next year if I run out ! read more

I had used Dank in the past and was very pleased. Because of me, at least three other neighbors used them and were pleased. Now, they are dishonest in their dealings. We wanted a tree cut down. They did show up for an estimate. We called and then made an appointment-they didn't show. At first they told us that they didn't have us down, then they changed that to they cancelled us based on the weather report (if this was true-they never called us}. We then rescheduled at which time they advised that they would be here later in the day since they had another job earlier. Again they didn't show. They claimed that they said they may come later in the day - not true and either way, they never called. I have asked to speak to the owner and have gotten two people identified as the owner, neither of which is listed on the New York State Department of State website. Finally, after the last no show, I was promised a call back the next day. That was last week and no call back. I will add that one of my neighbors, who had been happy with them before, encountered the same problem with appointments made and not met. read more

Terrible service! I hired them to take a tree down for $1200. They charged my credit card $2000. When I spoke to the owner - ROBERT MARSALONA - all he did was make excuses and he lied about why he charged more than we agreed. In addition, HIS CREW OBVIOUSLY KNEW NOTHING ABOUT TAKING A TREE DOWN AS THEY DESTROYED MY WALKWAY, MY GUTTER, THE SIDING ON MY HOUSE, AND my Belgium Blocks. They are a criminal organization. As requested they "topped 2 trees". The gentleman who came to see what needed to be done was not the one who did it. I received a call from the worker who called me at work and asked what he was supposed to do.. Not only were 2 branches left ( they did come back to do that) but it knocked out my land line phone. Of course Danks denied it was their fault. So, just a coinicidence? There was no rain or wind or storm.
