Sammy came out first thing in the morning for an estimate on a large dead pine right against the corner of our house (plus two other tall pines and some trimming). His crew was already in the neighborhood and showed up just a few hours later. They safely took down all three trees (including a full stump grind on the big one near the house), removed a giant heavy branch hanging toward our roof from the utility tree, and trimmed two others. Everything was done professionally with great care around the house, power lines, and landscaping. They clearly know what they're doing and worked efficiently -- the whole job only took a couple of hours. The price was very fair for the amount of work and the risks involved. We used Master Tree services to cut down a tall oak tree in our yard and prune other trees. They provided a free estimate and when we decided to use them, we requested Sammy to come back to finalize which trees needed pruning and which branches they recommended that needed to be cut. Sammy also informed us to let our town know which tree would be cut down to obtain the proper permit and approval. They also provided their updated insurance on file with our town. Everything went smoothly and on the day they were scheduled, they confirmed prior to the date as to what time they were starting. I reached out to Master Tree Services on yelp and Sammy reached out right away and came to view my job the next day. I was removing 7 trees in my backyard, all 30-40 feet high, and Sammy gave a great price and was able to work with my schedule. Sammy and his crew were very punctual and professional - they arrived at 8am, as scheduled, and were cleaned up and off the property by 3pm. (Note: they probably would have been done sooner, but some of our trees were very close to power lines so we had to work with PSEG crews and their schedules). I had contacted Master Tree Services again due to the great job they did for me 2 years ago. This new project was to cut one large tree that was totally rotted at the base and had a severe lean toward our fence and then two smaller rotted dead trees and then to trim a group of three trees to remove the dead branches. I requested that the rotted and dead trees, not be cut to ground but left sitting a little above ground which they did. Sammey came and reviewed the trees and provided a great price and was able to come the next morning and do the job. I provided the before and after pictures and they left the property spotless as you can see in the photos. Sammy responded within 20 minutes and was very courteous and prompt which is why back in 2022 when he did another much bigger job for me was the reason we contacted him again. I was completely blown away by the speed and quality of their work. They made easy work of removing a giant oak tree with power wires running through it. I came back to property to find that took the main trunks of tree and left me the worst parts of tree. I ended up disposing most of what was left behind. There was a misunderstanding I guess but not sure. Get everything in writing so u are covered if you use him. I had to ask his workers to clean up the property better. Because of two big storms that happened in 2020, my backyard had limbs from trees everywhere and it was just a big eye sore. So I saw the 5 stars for this company on Yelp and decided to message for an estimate. Sammy was very quick in scheduling an appointment for an estimate and was very reasonable. We scheduled the service for the next week, and the workers that came very prompt and friendly. They were also very quick! We had some giant limbs that needed to be cut down and also branches everywhere that needed to be cleaned up. These guys were excellent. I hired them to take down about 20+ trees at my house in Setauket. They removed the stumps and did everything I asked for - the first time. This was one of the few times I hired a contractor, and when he said it was complete, everything was completed. Sammy, the owner, brought a big crew and the proper machines to do the work. It was a big job, now I just need my Green Giant trees to grow. I will hire these guys again to do more work on my property.
