Sammy and his crew were outstanding! Sammy came out first thing in the morning for an estimate on a large dead pine right against the corner of our house (plus two other tall pines and some trimming). His crew was already in the neighborhood and showed up just a few hours later. They safely took down all three trees (including a full stump grind on the big one near the house), removed a giant heavy branch hanging toward our roof from the utility tree, and trimmed two others. Everything was done professionally with great care around the house, power lines, and landscaping. They clearly know what they're doing and worked efficiently -- the whole job only took a couple of hours. The price was very fair for the amount of work and the risks involved. Highly recommend Master Tree Services for any tree work. Reliable, fast, and trustworthy. read more

They were supposed to me meet me at my house but never showed up. I called them the morning of to confirm, left a message, and never got a call back. Then I called again during the time window they had given me and same thing. read more

We used Master Tree services to cut down a tall oak tree in our yard and prune other trees. They provided a free estimate and when we decided to use them, we requested Sammy to come back to finalize which trees needed pruning and which branches they recommended that needed to be cut. Sammy also informed us to let our town know which tree would be cut down to obtain the proper permit and approval. They also provided their updated insurance on file with our town. Everything went smoothly and on the day they were scheduled, they confirmed prior to the date as to what time they were starting. Sammy is very responsive via text and they did an excellent job pruning our trees and taking down the large oak tree including grinding the stump. Definitely would recommend them to others for this service. read more

Quote was prompt and fair. I had one tree removed and another one trimmed. Workers were very nice but owner never came back to check their work so I paid the supervisor. I was surprised owner never checked with me to see if I was happy. They completed the job quickly but I had to clean up the grinded tree roots which I didn't realize I was responsible for. When I cleaned up the area they were a few roots still sticking up. I would have appreciated a follow-up with the owner (Sam) but I let it be. read more

This is the second time I had Sam and his crew over my home to remove another tree. They did a great job the first time so it was a no-brainer to hire Sam and his crew again. Sammy and his crew arrived on time to remove a large tree with stump grinding from my front yard this morning. Arrived by 8AM and by 9:30AM the job was completed. They did an awesome job. They were very professional, their work was impeccable and left my yard very clean!! Thank you Sam! I will definitely be recommending and calling them again! read more

Excellent response time, great communication and fair pricing. Sammy is a stand up guy with an excellent team of skilled workers. We had large trees taken down and taken away, a few trees pruned and some stumps ground out. We encountered a slight shifting of our walkway bricks and after reaching out to let them know, they worked immediately to rectify the situation. I am a realist and know unforeseen problems will occur but how it is handled is what really counts. They came back right away and fixed everything to perfection. Thank you read more

I reached out to Master Tree Services on yelp and Sammy reached out right away and came to view my job the next day. I was removing 7 trees in my backyard, all 30-40 feet high, and Sammy gave a great price and was able to work with my schedule. Sammy and his crew were very punctual and professional - they arrived at 8am, as scheduled, and were cleaned up and off the property by 3pm. (Note: they probably would have been done sooner, but some of our trees were very close to power lines so we had to work with PSEG crews and their schedules). I would 100% recommend Sammy to anyone looking to do any tree removal or trimming. His team were all very skilled and did an amazing job. They were also very good at managing my curious neighbors! read more

I had contacted Master Tree Services again due to the great job they did for me 2 years ago. This new project was to cut one large tree that was totally rotted at the base and had a severe lean toward our fence and then two smaller rotted dead trees and then to trim a group of three trees to remove the dead branches. I requested that the rotted and dead trees, not be cut to ground but left sitting a little above ground which they did. Sammey came and reviewed the trees and provided a great price and was able to come the next morning and do the job. I provided the before and after pictures and they left the property spotless as you can see in the photos. Sammy responded within 20 minutes and was very courteous and prompt which is why back in 2022 when he did another much bigger job for me was the reason we contacted him again. Once again, his guys did a fantastic job at a great price. read more

I was completely blown away by the speed and quality of their work. They made easy work of removing a giant oak tree with power wires running through it. My neighbor had a few trees removed as well after speaking with Sammy while he was removing ours and he had the same experience. Price was fair and work was excellent. Definitely recommend! read more

We had to take one large tree down. They were amazing, on time, professional, clean, and safe.

Quick response, communicative, fast work great team!! Sammy clearly has integrity I'll be using MTS for a third time soon.

He cut down several trees and grind stumps. Asked him to leave me the main trunk for firewood and remove the rest of tree. I came back to property to find that took the main trunks of tree and left me the worst parts of tree. I ended up disposing most of what was left behind. There was a misunderstanding I guess but not sure. Get everything in writing so u are covered if you use him. I had to ask his workers to clean up the property better. All the small broken branches, wood chips and debris. All over there price was good but guess u pay for what u get. My thing is that they leave property as it was prior when they finish. read more

Couldn't be happier with Sammy and Master Tree. They took down a big tree of ours that was a concern from bug infestation. We were impressed every step of the way. Because of two big storms that happened in 2020, my backyard had limbs from trees everywhere and it was just a big eye sore. So I saw the 5 stars for this company on Yelp and decided to message for an estimate. Sammy was very quick in scheduling an appointment for an estimate and was very reasonable. We scheduled the service for the next week, and the workers that came very prompt and friendly. They were also very quick! We had some giant limbs that needed to be cut down and also branches everywhere that needed to be cleaned up. And they were able to remove them promptly from the backyard to the street and shred them. They did a great job and if god forbid anything else should happen in my backyard tree related, they will be the first ones I call. read more

This company did an excellent job removing Three large trees. It was amazing watching them cut them down while not damaging anything else around the trees. I highly recommend this company. read more

We had such an amazing experience with Sammy and his crew. I was highly recommended by a relative and when I contacted Sammy he was so polite and professional. He scheduled a free appraisal within a day and his estimate was extremely fair and lowest around. He was not pushy or a bullshitter like most people who come to give any type of estimate. He was able to schedule the work to be done within a few days which I was extremely impressed by that. He understand my concerns and the importance of how I felt in having the trees down before hurricane season/storms and the possible danger to my house and neighbors. His crew did a phenomenal job! Very professional. He explained things to me along the process and I couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a tree removal or just some branches. He removed 2 very large Oak trees and some branches off another one because he knew my concerns. No one else that we got estimates from was as kind and reasonable. The clean up was great and left me with no issues and reassurance that I will be contacting him again. Thanks Sammy, you and your men are awesome. read more

This was one of three estimates we received when planning the project. We decided to use them because of price and all the responses to our questions about the project. Excellent company! Sammy and his team did an amazing job. Perfect work. Arrived on time. Cleaned up. Highly recommend!!!

Went on Yelp looked at a few reviews for tree services. Called 3 and Mater Tree BY FAR had the best price. One of the other companies called to follow up and I told him the price he was stunned. The communication was a bit choppy but the price was insane compared to other quotes! The men worked their behinds off and did a great job. Had 7 giants trees that had to be removed. Very impressed with how hard these guys worked. If you don't get a quarter from these guys your crazy! read more

Had a few estimates for tree trimmings and a removal and Master Tree Service was by far the best estimate we received. The owner, Sammy and his crew showed up on time and far exceeded our expectations. Our property looks great! I requested a quote on Yelp and they responded right away, unbeknownst to me they had already met my husband in person and issued a quote two months ago so we decided to proceed with Masters to remove a tree over our driveway and cut back all the branches above our house. Their team was professional and organised. We were satisfied with their service that when they recommended the need to remove a second tree on our yard because it was their opinion that it was dying we called two weeks later and scheduled too. Great work, reasonable prices. read more

The best in the business. I wouldn't trust anyone else. Reliability and amazing price!!!

Sammy contacted me within 12 hours of my request on Yelp. He came for a consultation and wrote me up a quote that beat his competition. He even helped me bring my trash cans up from the curb- what a gentleman. The crew came that very afternoon. They did exactly what we'd discussed, removing 2 trees and then some. They very skilled and professional. The cleanup is what really impressed me! We will definitely be using them again for trimming in the future. read more

I would recommend this company. I will be honest and say I was hesitant to contact them because the only information I found about the company was through Yelp, and I don't always trust reviews .I was looking for a company website with more information but decided to have them come and give an estimate to remove 2 large bushes and grind out some stumps. When they told me it could be done the next day i was very impressed. The crew did a great job, and you would not know they were in my yard because they did a great job cleaning up as well. I would recommend this company. read more

These guys were excellent. I hired them to take down about 20+ trees at my house in Setauket. They removed the stumps and did everything I asked for - the first time. This was one of the few times I hired a contractor, and when he said it was complete, everything was completed. Sammy, the owner, brought a big crew and the proper machines to do the work. It was a big job, now I just need my Green Giant trees to grow. I will hire these guys again to do more work on my property. I forgot to add, they were $1,000 (or 20% cheaper) than the nearest competitor. read more

Fantastic job! After getting several estimates I went with my gut feeling and hired Sammy. I couldn't have been happier. His crew was unbelievable. They removed several pine trees and a few oaks. I also had them trim/prune some other trees and grind 1 down. I was truly impressed with how respectful they were. They cleaned up both the front and back yard and you would never even know they were there. They worked practically non stop all day except for a quick lunch break. I would highly recommend them and definitely use them again. Thank you for doing such an amazing job. You are the BEST!!! read more
