OMG I have done a lot of research and received more than 5 estimates before finally finding my perfect fit. I have 2 trees about 70-80 feet tall and one wider than the other. One of the trees had a split up the trunk and were close to my house. This company was extremely professional from beginning to end. every step was explained to me and had happened just like so. 1-call for estimate 2-estimate field person would contact me to make appt 3-if i would like to continue with service after a WRITTEN estimate i call to confirm 4-the same estimate field person contacted me to confirm work and inform me of a timeline for work to be done and would call a day in advance to complete work 5-i received a phone call at 6pm the night before for work to be completed between 9-12 the next day. I am a stay at home mom so this worked for me. :) The next day the crew (6 guys) came. We went over the job again to confirm and they went in. I brought my two sons out to watch (2 and 4 year olds). We watched from a distance and it was amazing to see how safe and professional they were. They went above and beyond my expectation, listened, and did an amazing job cleaning up. I am sooooooo happy to have them complete this job that i WILL be calling them for my second round of tree cutting. This was my first experience in hiring a company to complete any type of job and was so satisfied that now I am not as fearful to hire other companies for other jobs. I recently hired Off the Top Tree Service and I have to say, Danny and his team were absolutely outstanding. From the get-go, Danny communicated clearly and set up a convenient appointment time, arriving exactly when he said he would. That level of reliability was a breath of fresh air. When it came to the actual tree work, they did a fantastic job. Danny and his crew trimmed everything exactly as I wanted, and even when a minor detail needed a tweak, he made sure it was taken care of right away. They also went above and beyond by using the mulch from my own trees and spreading it around exactly where I requested. They ended up bringing in about ten whole containers of mulch, which was an amazing bonus and really thoughtful. Danny's professionalism didn't just stop at my yard. He also helped out my neighbor with the same level of care. He used a lift to safely remove dead branches (or "deadwood," as it's often called) from my cypress tree. And to top it all off, when they had to top off one of my trees, they even relocated a bird's nest with great care. It was clear they were mindful of every detail. I couldn't be more pleased with Danny and his wonderful company. We have a large tree in the yard that we have adored for over 30 years. I became concerned when a large termite filled branch fell to the ground. I thought for sure the whole tree would need to come down. Danny who is an arborist came and examined our tree. He assured me that the tree could be saved. I was thrilled when Danny recommended doing a major trim. The price was more than fair and Danny and his crew were reliable, neat, clean and efficient. I've been contemplating trimming two tall trees in my neighbors yard that were overhanging my pool and sending leaves and bugs into it on a daily basis. Easy part was getting permission to cut there trees. The hard part getting time to do it. The job: A backyard overgrown with ten very large trees and an unsightly, dangerous network of surface roots. It was impossible to even walk back there. I wanted to remove the trees to establish a lawn, and I needed roots and stumps ground and all debris removed. The Consultation: Off the Top owner/arborist Danny came to assess the job. I was impressed with his knowledge of the types of trees I had and what to do with them. He gave me a plan, a written estimate (very reasonable price) and said he would schedule me as soon as possible. The Result: He called with a time and the crew showed up in the morning as planned. Couldn't be happier with Off The Top Tree Service!! I'm not sure what happened regarding a few of the previous reviews, but that WAS NOT my experience! I used them a few years ago to take down 16 trees at my home and they were excellent at nearly 1/2 the price! Professional, courteous and clean up was exceptional--we changed our minds on a few things and they made the adjustments without any problems. I recently used them again at my office property and they were again exceptional--doing exactly what they said they would do, actually going above and beyond what was agreed upon. My 2 young daughters ages 5 and 7 were there and they were adamant about safety and also were very kind to them. The workers were commendable. Job was completed perfectly again at an amazing price. Off The Top Tree Service did a wonderful job with our yard the last two years. Leyland (sp?) Cypress is highly recommended for privacy in your backyard, but growing so fast, may be daunting. They get leggy. Grew six feet in 3 years. Rod came and took three feet off the top.. Straight across. Perfect. They are lush and full across the back fence now, though need another "haircut". Plus the dogwood and two fruit trees in the front. I know based on past experience that Off The Top is a company I would recommend to anyone. Responsible, courteous, and they make sure no clippings are left behind. I just bugged them with a message on a Sunday morning to have Rod call me with an estimate. I had Danny come by to give a quote after another company came by to give me a quote, agreed to the price and then ghosted me. Danny showed up, gave me a price, agreed to the price and told me it woukd get done in a few days. Called me to set the day and time and showed up when promised. The work to remove two trees and 5 bushes was completed cleanely and quickly. It surpassed expecations because the two stumps for the trees were right against a PVC fence and his guys managed to still take care of it without any damage. I would use this company again if i had any shrubbery or trees left at this point. read more

Truly outstanding service and used these guys for the past 3-5 years. Best pricing around and the team is very helpful when the work is being done. Had a rather large project that included cutting a tree down to the stump, pruning back some large trees on my grounds and trimming back Hemlocks that are all around my property and these guys were fast and cleaned up very nicely. I would totally recommend their service and only wish I had called them sooner as before the job we lost two old Hemlocks to the heavy snow. He addressed my tree issues in a timely fashion and provided before and after photos, since I don't reside on the island during the week. I have had "Off The Top Tree Service" to my house three times in the past seven years. The first two times, were to prune and raise branches on my tall evergreen trees. The last time just recently, was to remove and stump grind two large Cedars that had fallen over from the first Nor' Easter this year. The fact that I have consistently used them speaks for itself. These guys were at my friends house around the block trimming some trees and my friend said they were doing a great job. I was away for the weekend but asked my friend to send him to my house to look at a huge 70' tall pine tree that needed to come down. Sure enough they went there texted me a price and done. I came home and could not even find a trace of them even being at my house. Plus got a video of the take down. Great company!'
