I give one star because I can't give zero. The clown who owns this business is as dishonest and dishonorable as they come. He performed work for a neighbor and was told repeatedly that he was not permitted access to our property. He and his crew willfully trespassed and cut trees that he otherwise wouldn't have access to. He took advantage of a situation where a woman was telling him to leave and he wouldn't until the police were called. Fortunately, it was all caught on several security cameras. This business' owner distracted the property owner at the front door while their workers illegally trespassed...it's the oldest truck in the book. He actually disparaged his client, say they were crazy and he wanted nothing to do with them...fortunately all caught on the doorbell cam. Not too smart... If you want to support unprofessionalism and dishonesty, this is the clown show for you. read more

K&A was recommended to me by an arborist to trim some branches and leaves from a tall maple tree in our yard. The branches were hanging over some wires so I wanted the job done quickly. I got a giant shrub taken down, reaching the top of my second story. Then I had branches from a neighbors tree cut to the property line. They did a good job and held up their end on what you would expect for a decent price. All the trees and branches I had taken down were chipped up and taken away. The next day, Ken has a guy come by and grind the stump down. I can't even tell they were here. I'd love a little bit more of a better communication, but I can understand busy season and getting overwhelmed with calls and unknown phone numbers as it seems Ken does all the scheduling himself. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys. After all, the name rocks both my initials. read more

K&A was recommended to me by a relative, and I'm very happy about that. I had a Norway maple that was in bad shape. I called another tree service that gave me an outlandish quote for the necessary work. Then I called K&A. They came over when promised, and gave me an excellent quote. And now to the outstanding part: The original day they were to take down the tree and do the other work needed was rainy. Rather than take a chance they rescheduled around my schedule. The day they came and a very polite crew showed up. With Kenny (?) there the tree wasn't long for this world. They took down the tree, trimmed up a second tree, took care of other work that they saw and did because it was necessary. Very professional. And as scheduled (even a bit early) Kenny showed up for the work, reviewed with me what I was requesting to have done, and offered valuable suggestions. Ken the owner was extremely responsive and came over within 10 minutes to give me an estimate of the work. I checked one other tree service and his price for the same work was much higher. The day of the agreed removal his 5 men crew came on time and worked professionally to remove the tree and related branches. Several large pieces of trunk were left at the curb and were removed by his foreman operating a lift several hours latr, the crew had cleaned up very well. Within 10 minutes of the crew completing their task the stump man arrived who is also a partner in the firm. He ground up the stump and the many roots that were on the surface.
