They came out to my property, looked at the work that needed to be done, and gave me a price quote. Based on that quote, I agreed to have them do the job. We were under the impression that everything was agreed upon and that they were coming to complete the work. When the father came to start the job, his attitude was completely different. He was dismissive and disrespectful and basically told me that they were not going to do the job for the price they had originally quoted me and other work to get to. If you give a customer a quote after seeing the job in person, that price should mean something. If the company changes its mind about the price when they're ready to start, that's something that should be communicated professionally--not handled with an attitude after the customer has already agreed to move forward. My issue isn't simply about the price. It's about honoring the quote, communication, and treating customers with respect. Watch out and make sure you get everything in writing before agreeing to anything with KD Tree Services. I personally will not be using them.

His crew was already in the neighborhood and showed up just a few hours later. They safely took down all three trees (including a full stump grind on the big one near the house), removed a giant heavy branch hanging toward our roof from the utility tree, and trimmed two others. Everything was done professionally with great care around the house, power lines, and landscaping. When his men removed the tree they showed me the very large rotted area internally going up the trunk.
