If you plan on using these guys, make sure you have everything in writing! Had this company cut/prune on 2 different occasions for very straightforward stuff so I can't comment on their workmanship but their communication was very sloppy. Not sure if it's a language barrier or a problem with their practice. It ended up becoming a "he said she said" scenario and we paid for more than we thought we were getting. Jokes on me for not getting an invoice in writing before paying them. I feel even more duped because they did some upselling once they came for the estimate. I took their word for it that it would be beneficial even if not necessary because we had them work with us before. I stupidly assumed they care about nurturing this business relationship. These people were amazing. I had four different Landscapers and tree companies come over to quickly remedy a very dangerous situation. It seemed as my house was half destroyed by the current storm. Besides needing to remove a lot of wood on the ground , the scary part was the large attached limb that could literally have wiped out the side of my home. None of them really instilled the right confidence for such a dangerous job but one of the landscapers recommended. wee care tree service. On the phone they explained they were booked solid until early September and there was nothing that they could do. When I explained the severity of the situation the owner himself came out to evaluate it. They rescheduled and reshifted their whole next morning due to the potential danger involved. Six guys showed up that morning with only climbing gear and I was a little bit nervous. The owner was not on site but responded immediately to my phone call and laughed. He explained he had the same crew for over 18 years and they would be as professional as I could imagine. TOTAL UNDERSTATEMENT With in an hour and a half first crew did a complete Yomen's job in clearing the way basic prepping etc. Next came a huge wood chipper then a large truck with a crane and even more professional crew. HOLY WOW!!! They all moved together like synchronized swimmers I don't even know what else to say but I think I will put a few before and after photos this is the first review I have ever done That was not about food! but they were that good I just had to do it. Had We Care Tree Service out on Saturday to remove a double trunk oak tree and to prune another oak tree in the front. An 11 guy crew showed up and worked like a fine oiled machine and were done in about 4 hours. They cleaned up everything and even cleaned up my neighbors driveway. Good price; Reasonable job done; Terrible customer service. The owner threw in a bunch of additional stuff at no extra cost which was great- for the compromise of doing it on a day convenient for him. He told me to be able to point out the work to be done to the crew. The foreman came knowing essentially nothing about the job. So they did some incorrect pruning, which was fine. But they did not do one of the items at all (one of the thrown in items), also relatively understandable and my mistake it wasn't on the invoice. What I find inexcusable is that the owner did not call me back after I called to ask about it, and then when I called again a few days later he was unpleasant to deal with, asked for a picture of the outstanding job, which was sent immediately, and then he never responded to me. read more

Don't use these guys. Here's what happened to me... My neighbor had a large tree by his fence that hung long branches over my property. I paid We Care Tree Service to trim the branches. My neighbor got nervous that the tree became "unstable" as a result. The tree was actually just fine, but my neighbor is a hot head and tends to flip out over stuff. The main problem was when my neighbor asked the tree crew if the tree was unstable now and needed to come down. It was almost five o'clock and these guys could smell overtime pay, so they said "yes, and we can take it down for $700". He agreed and they took down the tree. After 12 years of being neighbors, my neighbor and I are no longer on speaking terms as a result of this. He feels like I robbed him of his "favorite tree" and his "privacy" and cost him hundreds of dollars. I tried explaining that taking weight off a tree makes it more stable, not less stable. I also tried explaining that the crew member wasn't qualified to judge the tree's stability, and that the crew was biased because they wanted the overtime pay, but you know how hot heads are. Then I spoke to Chris (owner of We Care) and complained about what his crew had said. First, Chris denied that the crew had ever said the tree was unstable, despite the fact that wasn't on-site overseeing the job and I had witnessed them say it. Then he said, "of course they're going to say it's unstable, they have chainsaws and want overtime". I explained that I agreed to chip in $150 towards the removal of my neighbor's tree since my neighbor was so upset and asked Chris if he was willing to take the $150 off my $2000 bill as a 'make good' for his crew's irresponsible actions. Chris basically blew up and yelled at me about trying to not pay him just because my neighbor gave him additional work. I asked Chris to stop yelling and he said he had to yell because he was on bluetooth; but I'm not an idiot, I know when someone is yelling at me. Regardless of the money, don't use these guys. You don't know what they're going to tell you or your neighbors when they're on-site and the company doesn't properly oversee them or take responsibility for the problems they cause. I used this company last year to clear all overhanging branches from neighboring trees. The job appeared to be done correctly, but I notice afterward everything they cut, which was really not all that needed to be done has returned with a vinginence. You would never even know anything was done. This company is the worst. I would not recommend them, not even to a Blind person. read more

Charged thousands of dollars to cut down two trees and promised to clear out the back and only cut the two big trees in he back. When asked to cut several small adjacent shrubs, he refused to do anything extra because he didn't want to bring his equipment back. Be very wary using this company. If you use this company, make sure to get everything in writing because otherwise it won't happen. Chris, the owner is very argumentative and doesn't know how to run a successful company. I called the Nassau County number for this company & was referred to their Suffolk number. Nick came out to give me an estimate...I told him the tree in my front yard was way too High & Wide & I wanted Width & Height cut. He also looked at another smaller tree at the side of my house that had part of it ripped off in one of the storms. I asked him to give me 1 price for cutting that one & another for removing it (I wasn't sure at the time which service I wanted done with that tree)...When I asked him why it was only a $100.00 more to remove, he said "Because it takes more time to prune than to cut a tree down! He gave me the price & i told him I would let him know. I then called to schedule & I was told me it would be a few weeks so I waited. I didn't hear from him so I called again & we scheduled for Friday 5/4, he called the day before & left a message that they would be there the next day as we had scheduled. I did try calling him back twice because I wanted to ask him something but got his VM. I didn't leave a message figuring he would see 2 missed calls & return the call... he never called me back...not a problem, I could wait to ask him the next day. Well, they never showed up so I called him after noon to see what was going on...The answer was I don't think we can get there today...told me that I never confirmed! I told him that he did not ask in his message he left on my VM for me to confirm! His message was he WOULD be here! He apologized & said he would come the following week on a Saturday, which annoyed me because here I am waiting & not even the courtesy of a phone call, I had to call him! Well here it is 8:15 AM on Saturday 5/12 & 7 guys show up...Nick of course is not here! The lead guy at first tells me they can NOT cut the top of tree as it is NOT enough money! Then he says the top is too thin to cut...Really...Which is it? The other tree "they cannot shape because it wouldn't be even & balanced" because of the part that was ripped off in the storm. They would be able to cut it down but had NO equipment to grind the stump! THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE! Nick called me & tried telling me he didn't price it to cut the top, he only priced it for pruning!!! "Pruning is not cutting"!?!? If that was the case why did you give me a price for just "pruning" when I told you I wanted some of the top cut off! You're supposedly (and I use that term loosely) the tree expert... I tell you what I want & you tell me what you will do & what it will cost! Now, as I'm on the phone with Nick, his guys are leaving & Nick is asking me if I want it "pruned" but he couldn't answer my question as to how much of the tree would be "pruned". The tree is as wide as my lawn...NOT paying that kind of money if you can't answer that question! Will it be feet or inches??? The owner Chris was no help when I called him, he was annoyed because he had to figure out what he was going to do with 7 guys! Not my problem, maybe find an estimator that knows what he's is doing! This is the worst company ever. I called this company 2 years ago to do a job. They were very reasonable and we set up a date and time for them to come. Crew pulls in my driveway, gets out and assesses the job. By the time my husband got a cup of coffee they were pulling down the block. Just up and left. No one ever called to inquire as to what had happened and we were so infuriated we went with another company. I left a poor review on their facebook page immediately Two years later they respond and with name calling. Called me a phony and a liar because they have an "impeccable" business. I am not a liar, nor a phony sir, I am a not satisfied potential customer. Your responses were in very poor taste. I do not work for, know or know anyone else with a competitor tree company.
