I have been here twice and each time my food and drink has been top tier! I've only eaten the egg sando, but today when I walk down, it will be the bacon egg sando. I already have coffee from home, but I'm excited to try the new meal order. The service is always polite and fun and very helpful. My cold brew was made with a little history of the drink and some nice jokes thrown in to amuse. I'm always down for a happy morning person. The place is small so don't expect to fit 15-20 people inside. It's more of a pick up the food and go kind of vibe unless you live close and make it there before anyone else. Anyway, check it out if you're in the area. Also, I let my egg sandwich go cold at work (got busy) ate it before I left and it was still delicious. The chef is amazing. read more

Located in Little Tokyo, along the edge so it can be easily missed. I walked over from the train station but there is only street parking. The storefront is pretty small so limited seating inside. I tried their sweet cream matcha latte ($7.50) with no sugar and Koatji oat milk. It was nice that the milk substitute is free! The matcha was strong and authentic. Stopped by Damda on a really hot day, and their matcha was the perfect refreshment I got the blueberry matcha latte with oat milk, and I was happy to see that they don't charge extra for alternative milk! The staff was super nice! When we went, the store was empty and the drink was made promptly. We got the Pear Matcha and I would say there was virtually no pear flavor... Furthermore the matcha flavor was so weak that it was overpowered by the milk :( I think this place has a lot of potential so I'll be back! I didn't try the matcha but I was told it was good! I enjoyed the salted caramel cream latte as it wasn't too sweet. I really enjoyed their egg & cheddar sandwich, which came with a crispy hash brown. The inside is limited in seating but if you're able to score a seat, then you're in luck! I attended their soft opening, and it's a beautiful cafe! There was plenty of street parking available right in front. Since they open early at 6:30 am, parking fees aren't enforced until 8 am. I ordered the Sweet Cream Cold Brew and the Salted Caramel Cream Matcha Latte with oat milk. Both were delicious and made well. I enjoyed that the sweetness came primarily from the cream toppings. The matcha was a vibrant green with a distinct earthy flavor--always a positive sign of good quality matcha. The cold brew was smooth and not acidic. I would order both drinks again. They also offer a small selection of breakfast items and baked goods. I opted in for the butter croissant, and it was delicious when warmed up. The cost of all four items was $27.30 including tax and tip. The service was good. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. Paying a visit to Damda meant dealing with finding parking in the area which kinda needed extra patience and luck lol. In love with the terracota theme for sure, and it's actually an adorable petite space for quick coffee break. Not that busy during weekday afternoon so getting my drink ready swiftly, but couldn't really sit and chill tho as I couldn't find a long-duration parking spot. Torn between coffee and matcha, then ended with their salted caramel cream matcha latte. They might have used blue spirulina if I jogged my memory right. The cream was pretty nice with light but just right sweetness. The matcha was so-so for my liking but YMMV! Would probably be back and gave a try for their coffee. read more

Their menu has some unique offerings on it not typical of most matcha shops including a salted caramel cream matcha, naju pear matcha, and hash browns! They also have a nice bathroom. from the same owners of the latte shop, damda is their rebranded cafe and looks much more visually appealing and eyecatching. also they do dairy alternatives with no extra charge! maybe its the korean in me but i love when places have a hidden meaning within their brand name. i ordered the korean pear matcha with koatji milk and props to the owner for coming up with this combo. i will say that the koatji milk was a bit prominent but the bits of pear within the drink keep it from just tasting like an oatmilk matcha. i also ordered a croffle sando thinking that it would be a breakfast sandwich but was sadly mistaken because they are in their soft opening stages, theres only one barista at the bar but im sure as they grow in popularity, that will change. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by Damda, which I went to randomly on a whim. I got the Damda latte and absolutely loved it! No feedback at all. It was the most perfect drink. Parking in Little Tokyo is always hard, so usually my husband and I park in a lot and walk around for a few hours. The cafe itself is a cute little shop, and our barista was very friendly. With the newest rebrand, the cafe has a soft red interior that makes the environment cozy and elegant. Every time I've come into the store, I'm greeted by the most delightful workers. They are always so kind and efficient while making the drinks, despite how busy it can get. Nico is my absolute favorite and makes one hell of a drink! I got the mocha latte and the sweet cream cold brew...the mocha was great but the sweet cream cold brew tasted rancid I couldn't drink it, took one sip and threw it away. If I had to guess, I think it was the milk because the mocha had almond milk, but the sweet cream cold brew had whole milk, which was probably expired or not refrigerated properly. read more

Damda is a bit tucked away, so keep an eye out, but it's worth the search. We got the Damda Latte, a Double Mocha, the Everything Sando, and a banana bread loaf. Coffee was a 10/10, would come again just for that. The sando was tasty too, packed with egg, sausage, and bacon for a solid protein hit, and it comes with hash browns on the side that are extra crispy, honestly good enough to order on their own. Service was friendly too, which made the whole visit even better. Heads up though, if you're looking to post up and work, this might not be your spot.
