I am always on the look out for Mediterranean restaurants in the area. Recently, I discovered Damasquino. The restaurant is very clean. It has cozy vibes. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. I ordered a kabob family meal since I had some friends who visited us at dinner time. The family meal included; Kafta kabob, chicken kabob, and beef kabob. It had also generous quantity of flavourful basmati rice, grilled tomatoes and grilled onions. It included also hummus and babaganoush in separate containers. The order came in a large tray, arranged in layers. The top layer was bread cut into triangles and covered with delicious red sauce. The middle layer was the kabob arranged with the grilled vegetables. The bottom layer was a generous and abundant quantity of delicious basmati rice. Then at the very bottom was large pita bread soaked in the juice of the previous layers together. I also ordered beef and kafta wraps. Everything was exceptionally juicy, flavorful, and delicious. The service was top notch. Everyone enjoyed this extraordinary family meal. For sure I will be back to try more food from their menu. read more

We had dinner the other nite at Damasquino. The food was delicious! My husband had the kefta plate & I had the falafel plate. Both came with rice- a mildly flavored pilaf. The 2 sides he chose were a green salad, & a very flavorful hummus. I had an onion salad with pomegranate syrup, and a HUGE side of garlic sauce. (In many restaurants, you get a small 3- tablespoon sized container, only served with chicken.) It was so tasty with the crunchy, crispy falafel and tahini, and absolutely incredible with their French fries- move over, ketchup, you're no longer needed. I can't speak highly enough of the food, service and helpfulness of this restaurant. We had a party for 75 people. They catered it for us and everyone absolutely loved the food. We kept hearing that it was the best Mediterranean food they had ever tasted. The owners were so helpful in helping us figure out how much food we needed, so reassuring and accommodating. A compact restaurant, like the other two in this space on Grand and Baseline. ( Taco Grill and Ruenrom Thai). Despite that, this Mediterranean place is popular and smells wonderful. This is the second time we've ordered pick up. Portions are generous and pricing ( between $18 and $24 ish) is typical for a combo plate with 2 side choices. The hummus is very creamy and the rice is flavorful, fluffy and not gummy. The chicken kabob is moist. Unfortunately, when I arrived home and opened up the boxes, our order was incorrect! I had ordered combo beef and chicken plates with salad and hummus, but received instead chicken kabob with a side of garlic sauce, hummus and a little container of strong garlic. My husband's beef kabob plate was replaced by a mound of beef shawarma placed over a huge container of hummus with a side of pink pickles. Of course it was too late and too far to go back to the restaurant, so we enjoyed someone else's meals. It was all delicious, since the meat and chicken was so tender. Someone was probably enjoying our kabob combination plates.. Next time I will ask to check the order before I leave the restaurant! read more

Thanks to the staff's recommendation, I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich Meal with a side salad, hummus, garlic spread and pickles. All the flavors were on point, especially the chicken which was perfectly tender and seasoned as well as the hummus, which was creamy, smooth and rich. No Mediterranean meal is complete without pickles, and the pickles at Damasquino complemented the other dishes perfectly. Will definitely keep this place in mind when in the area or if traveling through for a really tasty Mediterranean meal! The atmosphere is pretty casual. You order at the counter and they call you up when your food is ready. There are about four tables inside and two smaller tables outside the restaurant. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. I am speechless with this place. The food is just SO amazing. It is a much different flavor profile than other Mediterranean food I've had. I drive 45 mins to eat here and it's worth every minute. It's a small place, but the food is delicious and big in portions. The first time I went I got the Beef Schwarma Plate and it had amazing flavor. The second time I went I got the Combo Plate which was chicken and beef. I love them both equally. The hummus had great flavor and texture, and the pita was delicious and worked well when wrapping meat inside of it. Verdict: This place super delivered They had great service, the owner was friendly, had a a great sense of humor (laughs are always welcomed) and plated the entrees in a beautiful manner! The meat portion was pretty big but the platter could have used some more rice to balance it out. Both meats tasted good and was not dry like how it could get at some places.
