Both very polite, professional, listened carefully, registered everything right, patient, & did not miss a thing, & took every request that we may have forgotten to mention. There was a moment I thought we'll never fit everything into the 2 lift vans I was insistent not to exceed, but the packaging was snug and so well done, we added one more box just before closing. I was pleased when they packed us up and stored our stuff for a couple of months. But when it it came time for them to move us in our new house, they had four movers and when they put all of the stuff in our new house, I went upstairs to my room, and I noticed that my jewelry boxes were moved around and not in the place that I had left them. Long story short - do not use any under circumstances, unless you want to renovate your home afterwards. Long story: We are a military family and this was the local company assigned to bring in our furniture to our current location. They had to bring in a desk that was obviously too big to fit my staircases. I asked them to disassemble but the leader of the group refused and proceeded to move it whole against my will. They were using my stair railings as support, which caused them to unhinge from the wall, significantly damaged all the walls, including the ceiling. Their extremely rude coordinator Mrs Lockhart called to offer me 150 USD compensation for the 'smudges' of paint that are required. Its been now 5 weeks that we are going back and forth and the repairs are still not completed. Her attitude is consistently condescending, belittling the damages done to the property, disregarding any manners whatsoever. Repair man came twice, always on a SUNDAY. - First time he came completely unprepared, no paint, no nothing, nothing was done, he left - 2nd time he fixed the railings - great. But as far as paint is concerned - the job was TERRIBLY done. You can tell from a mile that the job is not done right (mind you our house was painted 3 weeks before the movers came). He used a different type of painting for the ceiling leaving a massive stain on the ceiling. We are now fighting with them to come fix what they have done (honestly it looks even worse now). Mrs Lockhart continues acting terribly, claims she's the boss (dunno, maybe she is), and overall does not want to consider to send someone on a different day than a Sunday. Ive asked for a business day fix, as I have a 21 month old and I don't want him to be around paint - during the week he's at daycare. But she doesnt seem concerned about the health of a child. read more

My first experience with an full service move. I had no idea what to expect or what to do. We literally had 10 days to move so we did not have any time to weed through all our belongings and get rid of anything. That made me embarrassed as the movers would be packing all kinds of "junk". When the guys came to pack us up, they couldn't have been nicer or more understanding. They were quick, efficient and careful. They came on a Tuesday, packed us up for 2 days, then loaded us up in 2 trucks over 2 days. Because of timing, our trucks could not be delivered to our new house until after the weekend. They made us feel super confident that our life was safe in their hands. On Monday they arrived at our new location and unloaded and reassembled everything in less than 5 hours. No missing boxes. No missing anything. No broken anything in any of the boxes! My wife and I moved cross-country with Wheaton Van Lines last December. Eight months later, after finding a home, our goods in storage were moved by Wheaton's local agent, Daly Movers, Inc. to our home. Every aspect of the coast-to-coast move exceeded expectations. Before providing details, I'll hit on the high spots of this Five-Star move. Did everything occur exactly as scheduled? YES. Were the final costs comparable to the original estimate? YES. Were all our items delivered damage free? YES. Was every member of the moving team from coast to coast professional, skilled, courteous and friendly. YES. Did we receive sufficient notification of pick-up and delivery times? YES. This was a personal move; I had done several corporate moves in the past. Was this the best one yet? YES BY FAR. The move started with an outstanding driver Delroy (frequent Driver of the Month/Year winner) and his moving partner Gary who did a great job managing the packing and loading at the origin along with dropping off a portion of our goods at our apartment and taking the remainder to storage at Daly Movers. Our contact Renay in Daly Operations patiently explained the charges from Daly Movers and from the agent at the origin of the move. She also did a fantastic job scheduling the move to our new home and selecting an outstanding moving crew (team leader, Jesse, Joshua, Richard and Sergio), that provided us with a move that was free from damage or missing articles. Many pieces of furniture were upholstered with white fabric, so with special wrapping and handling to prevent damage and staining, and there were no problems seen at delivery. My wife researched movers at the origin and destination, which is how we identified Wheaton Van Lines and who we wanted from Star Movers on our delivery team (especially 5-star Jesse!). So, our selection of Wheaton Van Lines and our excellent experience with this move appears to be a regular occurrence given others' excellent reviews. This review is long overdue but I still cannot say enough good things about this company and the people who work for them. A year and a half ago I moved to another state, and was so nervous about hiring movers. I've heard the horror stories from family and friends who used other companies (definitely not this one), so I was honestly expecting the worst. However, from the moment I first spoke with Renay to schedule a walk through for a quote, I was assured that everything would be taken care of properly. Collette came to my home for a walk through in order to assess how much of my stuff would be included in the move. She was the kindest lady. She gave great advice about what to ask from all the companies I was considering at the time, and she pointed out some items that I would want to include in the move that I hadn't thought of. When I got the quote back, it was definitely more than some of the other quotes I had received (but those cheaper companies had some red flags), but they also weren't the most expensive. I will say, I think using Daly movers was worth every penny. Renay was so kind, and quickly responded to my emails or took my phone calls to answer questions. She answered everything honestly, helping me to weigh my options as needed. My driver was Ryan and he was so kind. Ryan and his team handled all of my belongings with care. My experience with Daly Movers, Inc. came about when I had a flood in my apartment and my apartment complex hired them to move 3 bedrooms from first floor into 2 bedrooms to third floor. Nice guys but I don't believe they where properly trained. They where given a timeframe to move me and they where in a rush. They moved all items first then towards the end they moved my washer and refrigerator. The problem was that they did not unplug my fridge a couple hours before the move and to wait a couple hours after the move to plug my fridge in. They plugged it in right away and my fridge never worked since, the compressor died. My washer was off track when I ran it and making loud banging noise. I filed a claim for my loses with Daly Movers and they denied it said that in their contract it states they can't guarantee the move of older appliances. My washer was 2 years old and my refrigerator was 7 years old. So long story short I filed in small claims court for $925 to recover my loses and was able to recover only $300. I would not recommend Daly Movers unless you are willing to risk your appliances being damaged then for them to try and excuse it that your appliances are old. Not good business practices! read more

During the remodeling of of our apartment this company was hired to move everything out. Multiple items was damaged, bathroom cabinet was completely destroyed, TV-stand shelves are missing, scratches and dings on TV-stand, dresser and couch. Filed a complaint to get shelves for TV-stand. Theo (claim manager?) was extremely rude, unapologetic and seemed like he just doesn't care. After numerous calls, e-mails they wrote us back " We could not find the shelves, a decision has been made to issue a settlement. The amount may not be disclosed over e-mail, I will be sending you a check". Theo refused to discus the amount on the phone ether, told me the decision has been made and there is nothing else they can do for me. Received check $40. Now we are left with TV-stand and bathroom cabinet that needs to be replaced. The way Theo spoke to me and handled my claim was unprofessional, rude and degrading. DISGUSTING. ---------------------------------------------------- Response to Daly Movers explanation. There was never an attempt to explain the claim process. This happened right in the beginning of Covid-19 pandemic. Yes we took our time unpacking everything, lots of boxes. Till the last day we were hoping to find those shelves. I can't believe I used this company... and am still using them. Why? Because it has been 3 weeks since they packed my belongings in OC, CA to move to Kansas City and I still don't know if my items are "safe" in CA or on their way to be delivered "who knows when". There isn't company initiated communication to update me, I have to call every day and ask for a status. Which, by the way doesn't change... we're busy, this is the busy time of year, let me check for you, I will ask logistics... I will get back to you tomorrow. Seriously? We engaged Daly movers for shipping household goods from Chino, California to Calgary Canada. They did a good job of packing our furnitures and had competitive rates. However, after initial pickup everything else was bad. It took more than one month's to receive our good. They also broke multiple items including our desk, TV and multiple other items. Please don't engage them for intenternational shipment. They will break many of your costly items. Forget compensation, they won't even acknowledge their fault when you report those to them. read more

This is based on just a survey and quite Moving from the city of San Diego to the Temecula area Quoted over $4000.00 for complete packing Surveyor touted the movers are drug tested and back ground checked but the surveyor himself did not provide a business card. Three other equally reputable companies quoted $2000-$2200 for complete packing. read more

I held off any updates until I received my household goods at the far end. And it turns out that Daly is even worse than I could have possibly imagined. Brackets to TVs are missing, furniture items were disassembled and the parts (like footings for dressers) are gone altogether (after all, why would you put them together? That would make far too much sense). Pathetic and frankly sad. Absolutely the worst move of my 26-year military career and it's all thanks to Daly. Just horrendous. We moved about 392 miles away so two days later we met the moving crew - again met our expectations. As we unpacked we found everything in good condition and Blaine went above and beyond when we discovered our old office desk was too big and he took it away to drop off at a dump site. The worst experience of my life. Let me list for you the highlights of my experience: - The representative that came out to quote lied and told me the movers that were picking up my belongings would be the ones delivering. - They had my belongings for a total of two weeks and a delivery window of ten days yet they still managed to deliver late. I was given several different delivery dates and times just to be changed at the last minute. The office was unable to tell me the exact location of my things the entire time they had them. - They tried to charge me $1000 (no, not exaggerating) over what was quoted and then accused me of adding to the shipment after it was quoted. - The movers that picked up LIED about the condition of my belongings and marked "scratched, soiled, dented" on every piece of furniture they packed regardless of the actual condition. If you are crazy enough to use this company PLEASE carefully check the inventory list before signing. - The very nice gentlemen (owner/operator mover) that delivered my belongings told me he picked up my things "uncovered and scattered in a warehouse". So please don't think that just because your furniture is wrapped on pick up it will stay that way. - Once my belongings were delivered EVERY. SINGLE. ITEM. was somehow damaged. My daughters brand new furniture was scratched and gouged, boxes were smashed, my couch was stained and torn, large vase was broken in two, the list goes on and on. I can keep going, but I think you get the idea. I honestly cannot believe this company is still in business. Please beware before trusting them with your move. read more

The eager spirit of the staff as well as the exceptional quality of work never ceases to amaze me; which is a huge reason why our establishment continues to choose Daly Movers. I work for a local orange county cultural museum, and we were in the midst of installing one of our more anticipated shows in the past few years. We were given a tight schedule to complete the exhibition, so when Daly came in to deliver our artifacts we hired on a few extra hands to help with the install. I was simply impressed with their work ethic. Efficient and competant. They were so helpful, our curatorial team actually hand picked Teo (Tay-yo) to come in solo and finish the install with us. We used Daly to move from CA out of state, and so has my mom for an out of state move and several family members of mine for local CA moves. All my family keeps referring them because we have all had such great experiences. The movers are nice guys and work very hard, Jerry was especially great as he was the one who helped load us in CA and unload us in the Pacific Northwest. Hi. Stay away from this company.!!! They are not respecting their engagement. I moved from US to Europe and it ended up costing me twice their quote!... Not to mention the massive headache of waiting for the goods that are not arriving because they screwed up customs information that I ended up paying for. Daly Movers sent me emails saying that a portion of the move will come at no additional to me. It resulted that I still had to pay their commissioned agent in France to receive my goods. It is a mafia organization that knows how to exploit your weaknesses and extract more money out of you. I have made a terrible mistake hiring them and hope you won't do the same!... I can share all various detail if you need more information. To give perspective, the quote was at $ 13,000 for half a container. I had to pay 5500 euro ($8,000) extra for custom clearance in France, 2500CHF ($3,500) for swiss custom clearance and 4000Euro ($6,400) to receive my goods from their "pre-paid" agent in France... read more

Where should I start.... I guess first a little background. My husband and I relocated from California to Germany and was the first time we were forced to use a moving company (usually we move our own stuff with help of family/friends). Due to lack of time, we left the U.S. and were dealing with the moving process from abroad making things a little more complicated. We basically communicated by email and long distance phone calls in order to get quotes. Our belongings were stored at my parents' home in California which were also helping us through this process. We found Daly Movers through an internet search and requested an on-site quote so we would know exactly how much it was going to cost. This was very important to us since we were going to obtain a reimbursement from my husband's employer. There was a limit to how much money we could get back so we wanted to be cautious and not go over. Our problem with Daly Movers began at the moment of the onsite quote. This means that Daly Movers sent a representative (I believe her name was Nicole) to my parents' home and took an inventory of what was going to be shipped. Before the onsite quote took place, I had emailed her a list of items that we wanted to bring over so they could give us an initial estimate. After the she took an inventory, she emailed us with a quote and we decided to move forward with them and help us with our move. We set up a date and were informed that we needed to pay them before shipping. We figured we would charge it to our American credit card and left it at that. A day before our scheduled pick-up, we were informed that we could not pay with our credit card because we did not live in the U.S. This came as a surprise since we were not informed of it from the very beginning when we clearly stated that we were living in Germany. This created a problem since they wanted us to pay with a cashiers check or a wire transfer. Mind you this is one day before the scheduled pick-up PLUS there is a 9 hour difference between California and Germany. Of course, the day that we planned for the pick-up was a Saturday and banks in Germany were closed. So we had to ask my parents for the money and ask them to immediately go and take care of it so that things wouldn't be delayed or get complicated. After Daly Movers had gone to my parents' home and had packed and taken our stuff we receive an email saying that and I quote "We have a slight problem. We were not informed of 2 bicycles included in your shipment." Then goes to explain her inventory from the day she went to make the assessment and basically tells us that its going to cost more. Since we were not there for the assessment, I spoke to my mother which told me that the Daly Movers rep had seen everything and probably forgot to add it. All our our items were stored together in a corner inside my parents' garage. So I know that it was impossible to miss two bicycles but still spoke to my mother to confirm. The Daly Movers rep refused to accept any fault and had our things in their warehouse. They also were not going to return them, if we wanted our items back someone from our family would have to go and pick them up. At this point, there were many things that bothered us. 1) Not accepting any responsibility. 2) Taking our items and then telling us that its going to cost more. 3) Not wanting to return our belongings to my parents' home. At the end, we simply paid them the difference just so we could have our items delivered. We were not going to ask my parents' to go pick-up our stuff. It's not my parents responsibility and they are older too. This entire process was very stressful. One really has to read a lot of information to find out what questions one should ask when getting a quote from a moving company. I will never recommend Daly Movers. They made an already stressful experience, a lot worse. read more

Military family moved from California to Washington. Terrible experience. I have spoke to a woman who was so rude and ignorant of the business functionality. They came to "repack" (so they can cheat the military to say "oh we used OUR BOXES") my things that was already packed. And then left my things out in the driveway over the WEEKEND...!!! Friday(15th) night Saturday night Sunday Night. On Monday I called them a woman apologized. A truck came past noon on Monday and we were supposed to receive a call when he was on the road when I would be receiving my things. No call. So tired of this run around and disrespect. I have told all the military wives about this company. And it's on fb too. Sad this is how they treat active duty families. read more

When my daughter asked if two of her stuffed animals could be in the same box the answer was "of course"! That attention to detail scores big points in my book. Crew leader Jesse was amazing. Thoroughly explained every step of the process. He handled this move with the upmost respect to me and my family's needs. These were some of hardest working men I've seen in a long time. Daly movers sent 2 movers one listen to me regarding over packing my boxes as I have weight limitations, I can't lift heavy things. So one guy decides to do his own thing and packs everything to a point where I couldn't even lift one box!!!! The other guy tripped over our phone and riped it out of the wall breaking the dry wall and then dropped a permanent marker on my white Berber carpet. I was frantic about what had happen. He was new so I'm sure he was doing his best. But when I pointed out to the guy who said he'd been doing this for 20 years, he should be use to listening to instructions? Also stacked boxes too high in the garage and some fell over. WTH?!! Isn't this CA and don't we have earthquakes? When I pointed out what he was doing wrong, he kept doing it to a point, where I finally said to him, I went from being upset when I saw him using my custom made pillows to protect items he was packing and told him not to pack! He wouldn't listen!! So I said get out of my HOUSE NOW!! They never finished and were slow too! I also never got a follow up call about the stain on the carpet, obviously they don't care what happens to your property and besides that they charge too much for BS! 5 star movers was much cheaper and better!! None the less these guys aren't the best! I ended up giving 5 Star Movers from Anaheim a call to come out and finish packing and was so pleased at how they listened! Nothing got broke! This company was responsible for the pickup of the consumables shipment for my daughter who accepted a job in Africa. I was contacted by Amy regarding the shipment and then they called again to tell me what day and time the movers would be here. Joe and George W. came to pack and weigh every box because the shipment was limited to a certain number of pounds. I wish there were negative stars because they would have earned a 5 !!! Worst move ever. I do not have one piece of furniture that has not been effected by this move. They lost the screws/ hardware to my bed, they tried to hide it by using stripes of plastic threaded through the holes and then placed the box springs and mattress on the frame.... Had I actually sat on the bed, the entire thing would have calasped!! I noticed before hand when I was looking for missing furniture and I touched the foot board which was just resting against the matress. They did find the hardware 3 days later on the floor of the truck, so I guess thats a plus. This was only one of 100s of issues with this company. I would never recommend and I will NEVER use them again. read more

Can't say enough good about Daly! I have maintained a storage unit there for a few years, being active duty military. The rates to access and remove or emplace items are reasonable. My husband and I are doing our first PCS and we were assigned Daly Movers. Jessie, Alec, and Izeck showed up to our house, they were very professional and polite and were very careful packing our items. Jessie knew this was our first move and that we were very nervous especially since I was on all the Military move Facebook pages and heard the good, bad, and the ugly. We were packing out our house in July but we would not make it to our final destination until October or November. Jessie knew we were worried about our items being transferred around so many times, he let his office know and next thing we knew we got a call from our move coordinator and they informed us that Daly Movers offered to store our items in San Diego until we are ready to move to our destination.
