If you are looking for a place to buy an unlocked phone, buy a SIM card, or you're looking for any phone accessory you can think of, NW is my preferred first stop. They have most of the recent European/Asian models and if you are skilled at the art of haggle, a fair price on a phone can be reached. Word of advice: Don't think the first price they tell you is the done deal. Be polite and knowledgeable and you may get a better price out of them. That is the name of the game at all the Harry Hines shops/bazaars. The NW staff is the kind of staff I am used to from living in NYC. They leave you alone unless you need something. They are courteous but won't be winning Miss Congeniality. If you are looking for warm and fuzzy schmoozing, this ain't the place. If you are hardcore about phones and accessories and know how to handle yourself with striking a deal, hit up National Wireless.

It was a SunPro multi tester, it wouldn't work even though I put a fresh 9 V battery in it. It had a rattle inside of it and I'm not an electronics guy so I thought it prudent to let the professionals take a look at it and fix it. The gentleman who greeted me was very nice, warm, talkative, and quite agreeable to taking a look at my Sunpro multi tester device and attempting to fix it. He walked into the back after taking it apart did something brought it back and said it was working!!. (It was). As I started to leave it still had the rattle and when I turned around to ask the gentleman about it he said don't worry it's nothing that's gonna short out the circuit board. I remonstrated a bit and said are you sure? And he assured me everything was OK. Well I am Asperger autistic and OCD. When I got home I took it apart removing the circuit board to discover the main fuse just floating around underneath the circuit board, a metal-cladded fuse. Something that certainly and Dustin and potentially Will short out a circuit board. It was a physically oversized fuse meaning that it had been replaced at one time.... I wanted to take it back to him and just let him know that the rattle was indeed a concern that should've been looked at and I wanted to do so even if it been paying to have the job done properly with the right size (physical size that is) fuse. But I'm in my 60s and I'm a bit black-pilled with what I think on my reasonable expectations for people to do a thorough and adequate top-notch job anymore these days. /sigh

We had lightning hit our property which took out a bunch of electronics including our Yamaha RX-V 683 receiver. Web search indicated these guys as a service center and the reviews were positive. So I loaded up and headed that way as I had another errand in the same neighborhood. Lugged the unit in, set it on the counter where the man (owner) said "What you got there?". "My dead Yamaha AV receiver.". "We don't work on audio anymore.". Hmm. Geez. Most of their reviews are for audio stuff. He said they really only work on TVs now. Posted as a PSA. Call before you haul. And they need to get their listing on Yamaha's Service Centers page removed.

Replacement of that TV would have been over $2000. As an added bonus, he reinstalled my sound bar and subwoofer in the way that it should have been installed from the beginning and the sound is 100 times better. I cannot recommend this business in any stronger terms. Check with them before you throw away a TV that can be saved.
