After talking with two audio repair shops in the city, one had a 4 month backlog...the other had never even heard of my brand of equipment. So I did a Google search and found Audio Tech, the saviors of quality audio equipment! Susanna assured me that I was bringing my equipment to the right place...which went a long way especially after my Fort Worth experience. Add to it the fact that the equipment has deep sentimental value to me. Harley...the other half of the "dynamic duo" kept me informed of what was wrong, and what my low, mid, and high level fixes would be. Harley fixed the issues along with advising me of some mild modifications that he could provide to make it better than what it was out of the factory. On top of it, the work was very reasonably priced along with a pretty good turnaround time in this Covid era. Techs who have the knowledge, time, patience and skill set to keep quality equipment functional is a scarce commodity and becoming harder and harder to find. When we asked about it, they said that's normal. (Incredibly annoying!) Then, shortly after she got a strange color blotch on the upper right corner. We didn't think much of it Bc they offer a "lifetime warranty". We took the phone back today at 10:45. They were supposed to open at 10 but no one was there & it was locked. Called the # & they said they were running late. We continued to wait until the guy showed up. He looked at the phone & said it isn't their fault & that they would need another $180 to fix the problem. He claimed that he thought it was because maybe my daughter sat on the phone. I explained to him that I weigh a lot more than my daughter and I said on my iPhone daily, and have never had the issue. He said, "Well, you have an original screen". I told him that I didn't realize that the screen that they replaced it with wouldn't be similar to the original quality of the screen, & he just shrugged his shoulders. I told him that we already spent a lot of money on the screen & didn't want to pay $180 more. He said he couldn't help us under warranty & suggested that my daughter "go be more careful with her phone". Place stinks. Would never use them again. Headed to buy a new phone now. I thought it might be the capacitors but Sam advised the led strips would need to be replaced and it would be good as new. He got the parts and turned it around in about 48 hours, very impressive. He was kind, courteous, explained everything and ensures his work with a limited warrenty. Very disappointed with the performance of the system package that cost me over $10,000 (I purchased…read moretheir premium/top level speaker package and a number of other items they recommended). Before the installation, I shared my concerns below with the sales person/installer: 1. The size of the inwall speakers the recommended would not likely reproduce the full range of sound desired (especially midrange frequencies) 2. The soundstage produced by the front three speakers needed to anchor vocals to the faces onscreen - not localized to a speaker (especially not to the center channel located below screen). 3. I wanted clean but very strong bass performance that you could feel but not localize to a point in the room. After the installation I received a full demo and sure enough - they failed on all three points. - There is minimal midrange reproduction - The voices are localized on the center channel speaker (despite adjustments) - The powered subwoofer cost over $1,000, but lacks any real impact and it is easy to place where it is in the room I spent time afterwards with the installer sharing my concerns and asking for adjustments to be made. He made some efforts, but the equipment and configuration still produces very, very thin sound reproduction. There is no full range of deep rich sound in action movies (vehicle engines, explosions, etc.). Music on soundtracks sounds like it is playing out of a hand held radio. I told him I was not satisfied and not happy. All he could offer was to sell me additional speakers (left and right tower cabinet speakers and a second subwoofer), and he would give me credit back for two of the in wall speaker The amp is likely not adequate - should have gone with something higher current (Denon, Marantz or similar?). I trusted my money with their expertise/recommendations, and really feel like I failed to pick the right Home Theater company to accomplish a simple HT set up. The room is a dedicated HT room, only 14'x21' with 10' ceilings. I should have done more research. Lastly - on a personal note, I believe how an installer approaches "wire management" (see photos - no methodology) is an indicator of their attention to detail what standard they set for themselves. There is also a photo of their teeny tiny "premium" in wall speaker.

They used to accept money orders for all the orders that I used to get from BG Micro. I can say that I spent over $5,000.00 in the 8 years that I use to deal with BG Micro electronics. I won't use green dot pre paid because they charge me $8.99 per transaction. All banks and card companies want is your money, and I can get money orders for free. BG has lost me as a customer back in 2018, to EBay. EBay gift cards are also free to use with no transaction fees. Also a few of the companies even on eBay will accept money orders as well. So sad that you had to go this rout.
