Chef Zach was sooo amazing! I got the Mi Cuit class for a surprise for my boyfriends birthday and he absolutely loved it as well! Chef Zach is so knowledgeable about chocolate and baking and he makes sure you know why we're doing the things we're doing in the class so when you get home you know whats going on as well! It was also very delicious! We will be back for another class from Chef Zach!

I recently moved to Plano and have been researching fun activities to participate in. Running in 90+ degree temps with humidity will tire a girl out! Something needs to be indoors. Enter, an incredible pastry class. I'm no rookie when it comes to culinary classes. I love them! I love cooking and baking and always learn something new from a class. It's something I throughly enjoy. This experience was 5 STARS! Everyone was so warm, friendly, inclusive and kind. We really had the absolute best time. I've been trying to feel a sense of community after relocating and the other students, as one told me are "my people". My week days have been spent in an altogether different environment that regardless of if it's cultural has brought me down in a real way. I was looking for an afternoon of joie. The class was so inviting, hands on and fun! We made a bunch of items, shared snacks and our creations together. On break another student in class gave me a tour of Central Market since I'd never been to one. Grabbing coffee, exchanging business cards with others, bookmarking a ton of new spots to try and learning about other fun activities was truly worth every dollar spent to join this 4hr class. It felt exactly like what I had imagined moving to Texas with Texans would feel like. It attracted the finest residents. I can't wait to return. They have an all star line up of classes and August is hatch chili month. I will surely be signing up for at least one class a month. The florals are also totally worth mentioning, the store and class is adorned in the most incredible arrangements. It really was such a lovely class. Now if I can find someone to teach me Mahjong! The store is also gorgeous! I'm definitely at the age where I couldn't care less about local bars, show me a stunning grocery store! Coming from Los Angeles, dare I say it... Central Market might be better than Erewhon.

I will do these at home. And a surprise: Italian creme cupcake for my birthday celebration. Truly a great night. Totally worth it for a family celebration.

I recommend it without reservation. Gina and Mary were total professionals, charming and knowledgeable. I was in a class with 9 other people and at the end of the week everybody agreed the experience was fantastic--and a great value for everything we did and saw and learned in that one week. I took hundreds of photos of the estate and the vineyards and artisan farms and towns we visited. I plan on going back next year with 3 of my friends. They have all signed up for the monthly Newsletter in anticipation of our trip! I also recommend Gina's blog--always fun and funny with something new to learn!

After getting to know the sisters, I booked a tour for September 2010, which kicked off a month of touring Italy on my own. The trip itself was life-changing, and I still think back to my days in a Tuscan villa with Gina, Mary, and my fellow hungry travelers. First, we had an AMAZING kick-off to our trip with dinner in a Siena piazza alongside members of Gina's contrada as they celebrated their win during the summer's palio event. I'm sure few, if any, Americans can say they've been to such a festival, and I'm so thankful to have had such a unique experience! The rest of the week was full of cooking, amazing food, wine (oh, the wine!), and - most importantly to a shutterbug - loads of photo opps. We met a pig farmer (cinta senese pigs-- super cute, and, coincidentally, delicious) who is also an olive oil taster, we toured vineyards, ate in fantastic restaurants, learned some important Italian phrases, and more. And, I really learned to relax in the kitchen (plus, my friends and family are loving the dishes from Gina's cookbook!). I love a good time, I'm a foodie, a food geek, and just a regular geek, and I just can't say enough good things about this adventure. I'd go back again, and again, and again if my piggy bank and waist-line could handle it! Gina and Mary are passionate professionals, and after my week in Tuscany, they are my friends. Do yourself a favor: go to Italy with Ecco la Cucina, pronto!

Everything was explained really well, and the instructors made the experience fun and easy to follow, even for someone who isn't a professional cook. We made our own dressing for the arugula salad, and when I tell you it was amazing, I thought about that salad for days afterward. It was honestly one of my favorite parts of the class. I had never had gnocchi before, and it was really, really good. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. We also learned some great tips for preparing steak that I wasn't aware of, and I've already started using them at home. Overall, it was a great experience. The class was informative, hands-on, and enjoyable from start to finish. I would definitely recommend it to others, and I plan on coming back to try the knife skills class and probably a few other classes as well.

Chef Kate led us on a wonderful 2 hour culinary adventure making roasted chicken, kale salad, a Lemon tart, marinated artichokes, and a delicious aioli. The chicken had a golden brown skin, cooked perfectly. Tasty and crispy. The kale salad had a great flavor thanks to the nice dressing that you make. The lemon tart is made first due to the amount of work and steps involved. It is a nice treat to go with the meal. The artichokes are delicious and you add some of the aioli you make and it is so tasty. Probably my favorite part. You do the cooking yourself but Chef Kate guided us from beginning to end. Overall, the art was fun, but the service was disappointing and communication is severely lacking…read more It felt like we were a nuisance in being there. We had an appointment last weekend for four of us. When we arrived, we had an extra child and were told that we would be required to pay a 12% gratuity because of the size of our party. I'm unsure what the gratuity would be for. We were shown the policy - it said for parties of 6 and up - which we clarified and she said she miscounted. There was no service offered other than a brief training on how to do the craft. We were not allowed to choose our own colors but were encouraged to pick from the ones that were pre-opened to not be wasteful. When we picked our pieces, we were warned many times that we would be charged if we were wasteful in our usage of the clay - and clearly that is a subjective decision. When asked at the end any advice on getting the clay out of clothing, she said "it doesn't" - which would have been helpful to know at the beginning when you have 3 kids under 10. I asked if they had aprons - and mentioned that it would have been helpful if this doesn't come out of clothes - and she said they do, but it's only available for parties and for an extra fee. Again - communication would have been incredibly helpful up front. At the end, we were cleaning up our station and the employee asked us to put away the four remaining beads that were left on the table. It seemed like an easy way for her to help us get out the door more quickly when she had nothing else to do but sit on her phone. At the end she wrote down the dry times for our pieces - 5 days - which again - would have been helpful to know at the beginning. Lastly - they sold some glass cups that our daughters wanted. One was marked $13, one $15 for the same cup. When we asked - she said they were $15, but there is a deal at 2 for $30. Not sure where the deal is in that - and when we made that comment - she shrugged -clearly annoyed. For a unique art place such as this, where creativity and art should be encouraged - there was a very big missed opportunity in making this a special place - I won't be back.

When they finally texted me back they were clueless and rude. Seems like the staff does not want to be there, which isn't great for hosting a fun event with kids. Too bad, it's a nice option to bounce houses, but the customer service is off the charts awful and they are completely disorganized.
