She was professional, knowledgeable, and highly engaging, creating an environment that made the cooking experience both enjoyable and educational. Overall, this was a top-tier experience!!!!! Ask for Stephanie as your instructor! Can't wait until you open a location in NC ( I may have started making plans with family and friends hahah :P

I came for the sushi-making class, and overall, it was a really good time. The setup was smooth, the atmosphere was lively, and the whole experience felt more like a social night out with a little culinary cosplay which honestly, has its place. They also offered wine and sake pairings, and you can BYOB, which definitely helps keep the vibe festive. That said... if you're hoping to leave with the confidence to open your own omakase counter in a strip mall, this is not that. A lot of the components were pre-made or prepped ahead of time, and there wasn't a ton of actual teaching around technique, ingredients, or the food itself. So while you do "make sushi," it's less MasterClass and more cute, hands-on dinner activity. But honestly? That's not necessarily a bad thing. Not every class needs to end with a knife skills certification and a spiritual relationship with sushi rice. Bottom line: Come here if you want a fun, low-pressure experience for a date night, girls' night, or team outing. Just set expectations correctly: this is more about the experience than becoming the next IronChef.

Cake Carousel - My new and improved Easter Lamb cake. I'm very happy with the results.

Case in point: many years ago I made a lamb cake for Easter. Growing up, my grandmother had always made one and I thought it would be fun to try. My young adult children at the time, named my creation a "Rat Cake." I can see how they might have come up with that. I used chocolate sprinkles as whiskers and now that I think about it, I don't think a lamb even has whiskers! :-) For the past couple of years I have gone to Cake Carousel for help in picking up the needed supplies to make a decent looking Easter lamb cake. My result has not been laughed at so, I'll take that as a win! Their tub of whipped buttercream is perfect! Not too sweet, reasonably priced and it spreads on great. They have precious candy flowers that instantly elevate your cake. The grandkids even had fun helping me decorate! I love this tradition that I'm able to carry on with my own grandkids, just as the happy memories I have with my grandmother so many years ago. Cake Carousel makes it happen!

They also had fun college themed items. They had a great selection of stencils and fun extras, too. As a cookier, this will be my new obsession to go find fun cutters for my orders!

If you are looking for a private chef for dinner or a party in the Dallas area, you should consider…read moreLuke Keller of LK culinary. I found Luke on another site with ratings on personal chefs. He had many high ratings so I reached out by email and he quickly responded. We talked over the phone about the party that I was planning, general numbers on size of party (20), what we wanted (courses with wine pairings from my wine library) and when. Luke responded with a sample menu that was pretty much exactly what we did. He was spot on with the suggestions. (Descriptions In attached pictures). Luke and his assistant arrived 3 hours early for prep and were great conversation as we prepared for the party. We changed the order of courses to better fit the wine progression and he was helpful and adaptable. They brought almost everything they needed. Luke used our oven, range, blender and countertop, but otherwise had everything they needed. They also brought plates. We had the wine glasses and disposable silverware. They served the dishes and poured the wine coursing for guests and we did it in casual fashion with people standing and mingling. Every course hit the mark and at least 3 people asked for his information to use him. I will add more details on the individual dishes later, but if you read the descriptions in the pictures know they were each executed very well. After dinner they cleaned all dishes and glasses as well as the kitchen. It was very refreshing late the next morning when we rolled out of the rack to survey the damage. AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!

We picked their Brazilian menu and it was absolutely incredible!! A few people weren't crazy about tres leches, so we had requested another dessert option- the lemon tart with blueberry mint syrup...and it was AMAZING. Now, on to the service. We had one guest with a couple allergies- all I did was point her out and nothing had to be sent back. They handled it with zero issues. Also, we had a guest who is 9 months pregnant, and she had brought some "Nosecco" so she could enjoy some bubbly without the booze....and Manny was ALWAYS there to refill her glass. She didn't have to lift a finger, and I really noticed and appreciated that. Attention to details is big to me and these guys really checked the box! This was the first time any of us have hired a private chef to cook for us and we were excited to see if we even liked it- and after they left, we were already discussing what to do next year!
