Each group was provided a mystery box of chicken thighs, and mahi-mahi for protein. We also had broccoli, orange, marmalade, rosemary, and black beans. We all had fun, laughing along with Tre. She was quick to respond to my questions before the event. Chef Rose greeted us at the door and welcomed us into a fully prepped kitchen. Chef Rose got to work, putting us to work. It was AMAZING. We made the most amazing meal, and we learned so much as well. My husband is a foodie and loves to cook, so I was slightly worried he would be like this is lame. NO WAY - Chef Rose and my husband chatted about olive oil and spices... Chef Rose helped guide me with tips and tricks in the kitchen. I would take several more classes and we plan to! Wall Hoop Craft class which was taught by Maddie. Maddie walked us through how to make the wall decor, as well as shared tips and tricks with preserving flowers. We took turns, cutting the supplies and picking out the dried flowers for the arrangement. Salt and Light provided light snacks and drinks which was a nice gesture. The class took about an hour and the wall decor turned out lovely. I look forward to attending my next art/craft class at Salt and Light Collective.

The ganache we made for the center of our macarons was very tasty! Unfortunately, the ovens were not working properly, so our macarons for our whole group of 11 people were all either under or over cooked. Mine were extremely overcooked. They were very hard and chewy. For $79 this is unacceptable. They could have offered us a replacement class or a pickup order of new fresh macaroons, but we were simply told "sorry, it happens sometimes". Everyone else has such great reviews and photos on Yelp, so I'm really sad I did not get that same experience. I totally understand that things happen, but for $79 I expected edible macaroons to take home, and instead I got hard rocks that needed to be thrown away.

They had so many interesting things I wanted to purchase for my home! Their displays have really good ideas for decorations and such, and if I only lived close, I might have made out with some good buys! But there is one close to home, and now, it's my go-to not just for home decor, but if I had the need for crafty things. And the staff are incredibly nice.
