Great experience on short notice!! I emailed Chef Teri 2 days before my husband's bday to request a private, in-home dinner for two. Since she had such glowing reviews, I was certain she would already be booked for that day and would laugh at my deadline. In the meantime, I contacted other chefs who replied back with less than desirable menus for foodies like ourselves. Thank God she replied on a Sunday with a complete menu! We went back a forth on a couple dishes but ended up with a 4 course meal with 3 different wines that would appease our picky palates! Pricing depends upon what you choose-ours ended up being a little over $500 including alcohol. Chef Teri arrived before we got home from work to prepare. She had our dining table decorated with flowers in tiny vases, candles, typed up placecards with the complete menu, and flowers in vases in our entryway and bathroom! She was warm and friendly and happy to educate us on food sources and her background. I included a pic of our menu, so I will not type up info on the dishes; however, I will say that the food was great! She truly pulled it off, without sweating, even though I gave her short notice! I can't imagine what the food would taste like with a month's notice-she is truly a gifted soul! Chef Teri clean up everything after we were finished eating and even stored some leftovers in our fridge. The chocolate leftovers were great for breakfast ;) I would recommend her to anyone needing to cater a party or intimate dinner. She was a delight to do business with, and we anticipate that we will utilize her weekly meal planning services, as well. read more

Here's the low down: - She takes an inventory of your likes/dislikes - She will email you a proposed menu a few days before your planned service - On the day of, she goes to your grocery store of choice and buys all the fresh ingredients, comes over, and cooks for your family. - You come home to an awesome smelling kitchen, sit down and enjoy meal #1. He contacted me immediately after I sent my inquiry through Just Eats, he was thorough and helped decide upon the menu and had so many great suggestions and listened to our preferences. My husband recently surprised me for my birthday with an in-home cooked meal from Just Eats. Chef Teri Porterfield was waiting for us at home and I was quite surprised! The table was set beautifully and she even brought flowers from her garden. Every course served was thoughtful and delicious. She started the meal with a soup that was smooth and delicious, followed by a citrusy salad with a dressing that I am still thinking about! Next came the steak and polenta--the steak was cooked to perfection and could be cut with a fork and the polenta was cheesy and amazing! For dessert we had Flan and it was heaven! Everything was perfectly seasoned and served just right. LOVED EVERYTHING! It was truly the best birthday dinner I could ever ask for and it was served at home! My husband and I wanted to host 4 couples at home for a fancy Christmas dinner. Our 4 families have a monthly supper club with plenty of children, we rotate houses and the host prepares the meal for everyone. We were ready for someone else to prepare so that we could have an intimate adult evening. Chef Teri was wonderful! She provided me with many menu options to choose from. We went back and forth through email for a couple days. Her response time is SO fast. We wanted the experience to feel like we were in a restaurant - she did just that - served 4 plated courses, cleared the table in between each course, cleaned the kitchen spotless and left leftovers of all of it in the fridge! Chef Teri prepared a wonderful four course New Years Eve dinner for our group. She gave us multiple options to choose from and suggested wine pairings. The food was wonderful and the experience even better! The Chef arrived on schedule and then prepared, served and cleaned up after each course. When we finished our entrees we were too full for dessert, so she plated the chocolate mousse cake and left them for us to enjoy at our leisure. One word, amazing! My husband flew Chef Teri to Southern California, to prepare a private dinner in our home as a surprise for my birthday! We had a dinner party for 10, and everyone was just raving about the fantastic cuisine. Chef Teri was very professional and together her and my husband had planned the menu for the evening. It was one of THE best meals I've ever had. My only complaint is that she doesn't live here. My wife and I won a dinner for 2 from our Christmas last year and we finally cashed in on it recently. We ended up adding 2 more dinner guest and Chef Teri was more than accommodating.
