Three of us met Tall Paul, the owner and tour guide on the square in McKinney Texas. When thinking about starting the business,he and his wife attended a school in Chicago on the subject. Evidently, Chicago is known for food tours. Basically, over a 5 hour period(it was supposed to be 31/2) Paul walked us around old downtown McKinney enlightening us on the history of this lovely North Texas Town and stopping in for small bites and drinks. Our first stop at 11 am on Sunday was an Irish pub! I have to think back a long time to remember when I may have been drinking beer at 11 am on Sunday! I bet 100 years ago people of McKinney would have been up in arms over beer drinking any time on Sunday, especially before church! This is the type of thing that Food Walk and Paul made fun to think about. Our tour wrapped up at a great place with oysters and some lovely mixology drinks. I think if you are open-minded and can roll with it, this may be something different that would expand your horizons. I say, Go!!!

Looking forward to returning for their outdoor concerts in the Fall. We did the tour where we also poured a bottle to take home. Flavor of the month is watermelon. Nice that you can also purchase bottles of their vodka as well as merchandise. Afterwards we went a few miles away to "Over Yonder" for delicious food before heading back to DFW.

I had reserved a tour for 3 (I highly recommend that you do the tour and if you choose to do a tour that you make reservations in advance as they sell out) and initially I did 2 with bottle fills and one tour. The tours come with a ticket for a drink so that was a nice little extra. As the tour started Ryan & Diego (our fabulous guides) gave us some history of how the company started and as well as the process of how the vodka is made. We got to mix our bottle (as we got the lemon) and fill our bottles. We also got to put the caps on the bottle and see how the line works. At the end of the tour, we also got to taste some vodka. After the tour we decided to go get our drinks and the staff inside were just as kind as the staff taking us on the tour. There are so many drink options that I wasn't sure what I wanted as they have so many flavored vodkas. I was told I could sample the vodkas which I was grateful for as it helped me make a decision. My cousin got the raspberry cobbler and the Bloody Mary - the raspberry was sweet but good and I don't like bloody Mary's but I'd drink this one! I got the blueberry lemon, the prickly pear and the front porch . . . All were good to me. When we were there they had some guys playing music inside which was a little loud but sitting on the porch, it was nice to hear. They also had a pizza food truck outside and my cousin said the pizza was really good. If I could make a suggestion to the establishment I would ask them to PLEASE sell flights! Please please please as there were so many drinks that I wanted to try but unless I was gonna sleep in the parking lot I knew I shouldn't but I guess it's also a reason to come back!

It is a great way to meet the locals, see the art and architecture of a city, get recommendations, and in general, get the "lay of the land." We are so glad we found Dallas Bicycle Tours! We had an absolutely glorious afternoon with Heather and Heath on their well-tuned and sized bikes, leisurely pedaling around downtown Dallas, stopping to see points of interest, appreciating the many gorgeous murals throughout the city, and discovering new parks and neighborhoods that we want to go back and explore more fully! Heather and Heath are lovely human beings, curious and engaging...though our ages and backgrounds differ greatly, they made it so comfortable and fun with their open and kind personalities. They focus on safety and on tailoring the ride to the desires of their customers and were open to switching things up to fit our interests. They adjusted quickly to our skill levels, and we are confident that they could meet the needs of any group. They supplied everything we needed, even ice-cold water. Additionally, their rates are reasonable enough that we could do any additional, more expansive tour with them if we were staying in town; we'd jump at the chance if we could! Give Dallas Bicycle Tours a try - You won't be sorry!

After having an issue with bed bugs in the past, I clean and check everything in any hotel I stay in. The bathroom is small but the shower works well and clean. The water gets hot. I realize the housekeeping staff have a lot to do and may not get everything done before moving to the next room. Well they did a great job on this room! The room has a microwave & mini fridge. The microwave is pretty loud but it does its job and there is no freezer in the fridge, but it's the standard mini fridge. They both were really clean too! We could hear our neighbors but not clearly so that was a plus too. Finally, although the breakfast looked good, we were not able to sample it this time. The staff were very nice as well. Overall this was a great place to stay.

However, the hotel is welcoming and the amenities are nice. The lobby is welcoming with plenty of seating. There is a restaurant and bar that close around 10. The room is big and comes with microwave and fridge. I visited the bar and moved to the lobby after the bar closed. I was told by a front desk employee that the lobby closed at a certain time and that I couldn't sit there (this was around 10:45 pm). That was a little frustrating because it didn't make sense, but I just moved to the pool. I thought it was odd that the fitness center and pool doors did not need key entry. I'm not sure if they were broken or if this was normal. Although a bit small, the pool area has an outdoor patio and a hot tub. The fitness center was nice, I appreciated the array of weights, foam rollers, mats and kettle bells. Parking is free and they are pet friendly.
