Some friends and I got together for some food and drinks. When I arrived I had to find parking in the garage nearby. I walked in and was greeted and sat. We were served by a young lady. She was nice but certain things she didn't have answers about the menu and such. My friends ordered fries and the honey wings. My friend didn't particularly care for the fries. They did however like their drinks. My drinks weren't too bad of the wine and some vodka and seltzer. All in all an ok time.

My family and I stopped by for a quick bite to eat from a long day of activities. The resturaunt is super clean and our waitress was very friendly and let us taste some of the margaritas. The atmosphere is very casual, so no need to come super dressy, especially knowing that a lot of their food is finger food and it can get a little messy with the sauces. I had the brisket sandwhich which was huge and it had a really good hickory taste to it! The fries were hot and the wings were huge as well drizzled in sauce! Very tasty! I also ordered a margarita, forgot the exact name but it came with a shot and all you really need is 1! Overall, highly recommend!

Great service fried shrimp was great chicken wings were great. The crabcakes were just OK. The smokehouse platter was fairly decent as well. Cornbread was good. Strawberry daiquiri was great.

We had an OK time here. Our service was fine even though at times it took a minute for our server to come to us. The menu is very similar to the location in the city however it didn't have that special spark at the time Square location has. I'd recommend if you were craving Dallas barbecue, but it definitely doesn't compare to their Big location.

Dallas BBQ in New Jersey was good. The service was good and the vibe was nice and chill, The food tasted good and the presentation. Was great. The Henessey wings were a little tangy but was okay. The BBQ Beef Ribs Texas Style were tender and good.

When we were seated the table was so wobbly we had to ask to move because a drink would have spilled on that table. We asked the server to move and we were able to move to a nearby table. Everything we ordered was incredibly greasy, fatty or way too sweet. I know it's a bbq spot but I honestly expected better. It's like they put zero thought into the menu items other than to add way too much sugar. I also didn't expect the butter and sour cream to be served in single serve plastic containers (a ramekin would have been nicer). The crispy chicken wings were flavorless- no seasoning at all and the sticky wings had a sauce that was basically just sugar-filled. The beef ribs were tasty but really fatty, and the baked potato was good but it was the smallest I've ever seen. The mac and cheese was like Krafts and I sent it back because it was pretty gross. They must just have a huge vat of it because it came out within 3 minutes of us ordering it- even before the entree which was weird and it was just warm- not even hot. The one saving grace aside from the ribs bumping this review from a two to a three was the service. Our server was so nice. He was very efficient and friendly and made the night a bit better with his great service! Forgot his name but my husband and I were seated in the outer area near the windows. He was a Latino young man wearing a tie. Thank you young man for making our night a bit better! Also for a Saturday night it was pretty empty. Don't plan to return any time soon. Ir could be so much better, however it feels like they don't value their clientele and are doing the very bare minimum because of that.

Ohh, start your appetite engine with an order of Hennessey barbecue wings. Expect to get messy, but so flavorful.

Secaucus Dallas BBQ, expect the highest quality food and great service likened to Time Square of NYC. However, the modernized decor gives an upscale sport dining experience. This location has plenty of parking and nice sceneries.

This was my first time visiting BBQ Dallas in Secaucus, New Jersey, and I must say the drinks, food, and service made it a great experience. Our server eventually got busy with other tables, but overall everything still flowed well. The wings were HUGE -- the sticky wings were my favorite, even more than the Hennessy wings. I also ordered the Smokehouse Special, though they were out of the sausage that day. Our drinks were Long Island Iced Tea Premier, and let me tell you -- they were Texas‑size and definitely left us happy. Worth every sip. One thing to be mindful of: my partner is allergic to mustard, and I didn't realize the pulled pork plate comes with two different sauces -- one side barbecue and the other honey mustard. So anyone with allergies should double‑check the sauces on the meats to avoid any issues. This place is definitely a must‑try at least once, just like I did -- and I'll be returning. I travel from place to place trying different spots, and this one stands out. It's unlike anything I've found in Virginia. The only place that ever came close was a hands‑on spot back in Lynchburg, VA (you can see it on my profile). BBQ Dallas brings something different, and it's worth the stop. Overall, great experience and no complaints from me.

It was a very pleasant experience. Everyone from the hostess to the waiter were very friendly and attentive. The location was nice and clean and we did not have to wait to be seated. My first time at this location and the sticky wings were a hit for my family. The half rack of baby back ribs were soft and flavorful and the bacon, cheese and onion burger was also delicious. I also enjoyed my passion fruit frozen margarita. The flavor was not on the menu but our waitress recommended it. Will definitely be returning again!

One word to begin this review - FINALLY!!! It's been talked about for decades how Dallas BBQs should make its way across the bridge to Jersey. Secaucus came through! My verdict - I still prefer my favorite NYC locations. This spot made a good effort, though and I'll likely return out of convenience, probably. I went early afternoon on a weekday, there was no wait to be seated. However, the wait was annoying for parking. They share a SMALL parking lot with the LA fitness gym next door. Service was just okay - my server was not attentive but I noticed she was very active with parties of 2 or more. I was dining solo and it was very noticeable. Nevertheless, what I loved the most about this new location is that it's reminiscent of pre-pandemic menu prices. My sticky wings came to the table barely warm... like 45 seconds from being cold. Which was so odd to me. Also, my usual/favorite drink (the superman) was just average/watered down. One thing I noticed is they use regular, plastic straws. MUCH appreciated!! I despise the way the oversized paper straws dissolve in your beverage. So, kudos for that! Overall, it was just okay. It's a nice space.

First time at this location. Clean restaurant, quick service. Our server Isabella was great! Super nice and friendly. Food came out quick and delicious. Only downside is that somehow the restroom was out of service.

I am a bit surprised at all of the negative reviews. This is my first time going to any Dallas BBQ location and I was greatly surprised. First off, the parking is quite easy with plenty of parking nearby. Upon entering the space is huge with plenty of different seating options. The service was great throughout. The food itself was fantastic. Way better than I expected it to be. The price and portion sizes were great. I will definitely be coming back often.

I've been to Dallas BBQ in the city more times than I'd like to admit (basically a VIP without the badge), so I was excited to try the new New Jersey location. Unfortunately... it left me disappointed. Let's start with the sticky wings: lukewarm, no crisp, no seasoning--just vibes. The veggie tempura, though? MVP of the meal. The drinks? My Miami Vice tasted like melted snow cone with a sugar rush and zero vacation. And the dessert? Bless its heart!! The real hero was our server, John. If this review was just about him, it'd be 5 stars with a standing ovation. He was friendly, attentive, and really tried to make up for the kitchen. The restaurant itself is nice--big space, TVs everywhere, and a cozy covered patio. Bonus points for free parking (once you find it--it's like a mini escape room adventure!) We came on a Friday at 1 PM, no wait at all. Prices were reasonable. I'll give them a few months to level up and maybe come back. But for now, it's a "not quite yet" from me.

It was the absolute perfect way to close out my first visit to the East Coast. The original plan was going to be dinner somewhere else, but time had pushed us past our reservation. We decided on The Highwood since it was open late and let's face it, who would refuse the view of the NYC skyline? It was a wonderful evening to dine out on the patio and the service was excellent. We ordered our food and drinks and has great conversation. We did not have any complaints about any of the food or drink items. The chicken sandwich that I ordered was very filling. The french fries had a nice crisp to them on the outside and I especially liked the garnish on top. Dressed up fries are sexy fries! We were there for a good while, but the staff was very friendly and didn't try to kick us out or anything. We were one of the last ones to leave, but they were all so nice. I would definitely come back here again. You should check it out if you haven't already. I highly recommend sitting outside as you will marvel at the view across the street! Prices aren't bad and they ha e a broad selection of dishes to choose from. EnJOY your visit!

But three friends, craving yummy eats, strong drinks, and fun vibes, refused to call it a night. Luckily, The Highwood was still open until midnight-just what we needed to kick off our late night yap~ This is an elevated sports bar with waterfront views of Midtown Manhattan, directly across the street from the Port Imperial Ferry Terminal. Metered street parking is limited in the area, but there's a garage attached to the building. Even though it's a few steps above your typical divey sports bar, the overall atmosphere is still pretty casual. There's plenty of seating, whether you want to sit at the main bar, in leather booths, at high tops, or outside on the patio. With over 30 TVs, this is a hot spot to catch a game, from football and UFC fights to the World Cup. You definitely don't have to come dressed to impress, but there's a dress code. It's nothing too serious, more like "stylish sportswear or casual sophistication". Interpret that as you will lol. The restaurant wasn't busy, so we were able to sit wherever we wanted. We chose the outdoor patio, where we had a view of that iconic NYC skyline that we never get tired of having in our backyard. The menu mixes classic pub grub with more upscale dishes-pizza, wings, burgers, sushi, steak, seafood, and more. We started off with some drinky drinks and, of course, took full advantage of the $8 Martini Monday deal... DUH ;) We got lychee & espresso martinis, which were *chef's kiss* I loved the balance of vodka and lychee in mine--sweet and strong! They brew their espresso in-house, so no pre-made mix nonsense here. For our main dishes, we ordered: *Highwood Burger $24 (smashed double patty, aged cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, dill pickles, and burger sauce on a brioche bun) with side of sweet potato fries *Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich $23 (Southern fried chicken thigh, pecanwood smoked bacon, maple chipotle sauce, lettuce, and dill pickles on a sesame brioche bun) with side of fries *Bluefin Tuna Tartare $22 (diced bluefin tuna, scallions, avocado, mango, sesame seeds, furikake, yuzu ponzu, and rice-nori chips) No major complaints-everything was generally on point. My friends enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich and tuna; both were tasty and good quality. I just wish my burger patties were juicier! Service was friendly and quick. Since it was a quiet night, I appreciated that the staff didn't rush us out even though we closed the place down LOL. Shoutout to the management and staff for working and staying open late on a holiday! Final thoughts... Honestly, there are other bars in the area with better food, but The Highwood is still a solid option. The food didn't blow me away, but it's a great choice if you want a mix of bar grub and elevated dishes. There are still plenty of reasons to come back-game days, weekend brunch, late-night DJs, and drinks with a view. Why not all of the above? Highwood... you passed the vibe check! This was the perfect way to cap off the holiday weekend with friends! Now I'm curious to see what this place is like when the crowd and energy are turned ALLLLLLLL the way up!

We were immediately seated to any table of our choice and given menus, promptly. From the moment we sat down till the moment we left we were so well taken care of by the entire staff. My girlfriend ordered a sangria which was delicious. I tried a cocktail which I wasn't a fan of and she happily swapped it out for a glass of sangria! We ordered the Parmesan fries with this unmistakably delicious truffle aïoli! I highly recommend it! Then we got the smoked buffalo wings which were out of this world delicious! And the brisket sliders were yummy too! It was a lot of food! And we wrapped it up with a blueberry cheesecake and a nice big cappuccino that we shared! If you're lucky enough and you're in the area DO give them a try I don't think you'll be disappointed! We were both looking forward to dining al fresco, but it turned out to be a raining morning, so we wound up inside instead. The venue change was not all bad, as the bright dining room was surrounded by windows offering just a slightly more obscured view of Manhattan and the Hudson River. The restaurant offered either a à la carte menu or a $41 prix-fixe option, which included a choice of one brunch item and two mimosas, bellinis or bloody marys. While my friend opted to include the beverage package, I stuck with coffee and a main dish. My coffee was bold, tasty, and refilled as needed. For my entree, I selected the Bakkafrost Salmon, which arrived as a long, thin filet of pan-seared salmon served over a Japanese sweet potato hash and plated with a tomato confit and a parsnip puree. It was further garnished with a black sesame tuile and a soy garlic glaze. The salmon was a bit fishy, but the rest of the accoutrements were fantastic! I love Japanese sweet potatoes and parsnips, so it was right up my alley. A reservation was easily made via OpenTable. Upon arrival as first-timers, we were greeted by the host and got a table immediately by the window inside their floor-to-ceiling dining room, evoking a relaxed yet upscale vibe. Their menu specializes in American/Mediterranean cuisine influenced by seafood, steakhouse, and pasta. For appetizers, we decided on Short Rib Crostini, Kumamoto Oysters, and Yellowin Ahi Tuna Tacos. Our main consisted of Pan-Seared Chilean Sea Bass, 7 oz Prime Cut Filet Mignon, Bangkok Roasted Duck Breast, Lenny's Lobster Pasta, Crispy Lyonnaise Potatoes, and French Butter Asparagus. We even saved room for dessert and got the Bailey's Crème Brûlée and Assorted Dessert Tasting for two. We washed them down with I Dream of Lychees Martini, Berry White Spritz, and Haven Espresso. Complimentary bread with softened butter started our meal. The food is presented like art, and the portions varied depending on what one ordered. It's a little pricey but definitely worth it and fair considering the quality. Our server, Juan, was friendly, accommodating, and took the time to answer all of our questions, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A wonderful night all around--we're already looking forward to coming back.

It actually rotated (very slowly) throughout the meal so I was able to enjoy an entire 360-degree view of the restaurant (more than once). Our server, George, was fantastic! He gave excellent recommendations and when there was a song playing that I couldn't Shazam, he wrote the name of it down for me! My cocktail, Frequent Flyer, was 10/10 and the perfect mix of sweet and tart. Someone could easily order those all night long since it was masterfully crafted and wasn't overpowered with alcohol. For starters, I ordered the Ceviche sushi roll. It had all of the flavors of Peruvian-style ceviche and had a lovely presentation. My entree of skirt steak with polenta fries was seamlessly executed. I ordered the steak medium-rare and it had the right amount of char with the meat being very tender. The chimichurri sauce was a really nice accompaniment. Although I was full, I was able to muster up some room for dessert and had the bourbon apple bread pudding. It was really lovely and the perfect way to end an amazing meal. I'd return to Drift in a heartbeat and would highly recommend it.

This was my first time here, though I've been to Blu on the Hudson a few times so I felt Drift's menu and interior was a copycat of Blu. Unfortunately, the service at Drift was very poor, compared to Blu. Although the large restaurant was fairly empty inside and not at full capacity outside, service was slow and absent. Our waitress barely came by and neither did the bus boys - finally when I got up to refill my own cup of water, he darted over. There were multiple times my water glass was empty and no one in sight to offer a refill. Even the manager got a little attitude with me when I asked him to bring out new utensils (ours were cleared with our appetizers). We'd had already been waiting a while for our entrees to come and I could just anticipate all of our entrees coming out and us having no silverware to eat them with. Moving to the food, I thought the food was generally good, although not the best value. The rice balls were tasty but on the smaller side - they come 4 to an order. The whipped ricotta was yummy but the small plate of 4 pieces of focaccia is not sufficient for the amount. It's $2 for each extra plate of 4 slices. The rice cakes weren't as good as the ones at Blu. The beet salad was less of a salad and more like a plate of Greek yogurt with garnish around it - would not recommend. For entrees, several of us ordered sushi rolls. I thought the happy ending, Miyazaki and aloha rolls were good. My friend did not like her king California roll. The branzino and sea bass portions were small for the cost. We didn't order dessert since the meal moved so slowly and it was already late by the time we finished our entrees. We had to wait a while to get our check and then we got out of there. They also should have someone who checks the bathrooms regularly and tidies them up - the stall I went into was out of toilet paper in both dispensers and instead of replacing the empty rolls, they left the new one the dirty floor. All in all, I don't think I'd come back here again when practically the same restaurant is next door and I had better experiences there.
