It appears the supplies they were using gradually got dirtier as there was a progressive film on the black splashes and floors as they moved through the house. There were little bits of paper towel left behind here and there. Other than the few issues everything was else cleaned very well and fast. The stove and fridge look great, windows and window tracks are nice and clean and carpet looks good. I'd say the cleaning was "good enough", for the most part we are happy with the service but we are very particular in restoring our rental unit to like new between tenants, I wouldn't object to having them clean our place again but we would be sure to communicate better our needs and inspect better when they are finished.

Then, I was expecting her to confirm prior to the day of the clean, if our appointment was still set. She didn't, but I reached out to her to confirm. She set the time for 8 am. The day of, I woke up extra early to put some things away so it's out of their way to clean so that it's ready by 8 am. 8 am came and went and she was still not here. I wasn't too upset about it but it was a little bothersome as I have my 3 yo and 6 mo with me. At 08:11 she informs me her assistant is bringing their 4 yo child. If I didn't have kids I don't know how I would have felt about this, but since I have my 3 yo, I was ok with it since he is friendly and loves to play. (At this point in my head I was like, shouldn't you discuss that with your assistant atleast the day before? It just seemed so unorganized) At 0826 she tells me that the little girl has a "flu" and isn't able to go to daycare, but will be wearing a mask. At this point, I quickly became uncomfortable as I can't afford to have my babies sick as we are also leaving on a trip the next day. I told her that and asked her if that means we are cancelling. She said yes. Later, I then asked if we can reschedule and if she would offer a discount since it was last minute cancellation- let alone the day of and passed the appointment time. She ignored me for hours and said she can't cause she wouldn't offer a discount. I said that's fine, I'm okay with the original price of $225. And I said it was just a courtesy question if it's something she would offer for the inconvenience. THEN she tells me *I* was the one that canceled. When in fact she was or we both agreed upon it. But either way I don't think it's professional to bring a sick child over to someone else's house, who has little kids. But the fact of the matter is, I was still willing to pay the original price even if there wasn't a discount. But instead of rescheduling the clean with me, she continues the conversation that I was the one that canceled. I had to show her the screen shot of our convo to show that she cancelled. But again, how is that helpful or productive? Don't blame your client, when your client is still willing to give you business after everything. Anyway, I'm sure the cleaning is exceptional based on the reviews. And I'm bummed that it was a fail for me.

Our home security system tracks all movement and activity within our home and our smart lock allows us to see all entry and exit. I noticed that the cleaners were at my house for a total of 63 minutes for our routine "2 hour" clean. Once again, in reaching out to the owner, she was really responsive and I could tell that she was disappointed in her staff, but unfortunately, this was our last straw.

The move didn't go as planned, there was too many items for her to clean around, so she said she would come back another day, She suggested Sunday, which would be the last day before my tenant would move in, she scheduled the cleaning for 2pm. Knowing I was moving to another state and not taking a lot with me, she asked that I'd give my household items to one of her workers who was also moving and "had nothing" of her own. I agreed, as long as the items were picked up in their entirety before Sunday, In turn, I asked to be given 10% off my bill. A more than fair offer as my items were all excellent condition & brand names, she agreed. The night before her arrival, she texts me at 10pm wanting to start at 8am. "No can do" I say, the carpets could still be wet from the cleaning the day before. She pushed for 10 am. I told her, I'd check the property in the morning. Nope, still wet and the cleaning appointment must stand at 2pm. Now comes her threat of $50 if I am not ready for her arrival. Eliene tells me she is feeling "put out" because this is her and her staff's "day off". She complains that she has school events that she had to cook all day for, and how she is running short of time and wants to come on Monday. Meanwhile, my household items which were left out for pick up, was picked through and many items discarded, as if it was garbage. I was so upset at this point, I gave her the day off. My reason? I do not want disgruntled workers who make their problems MY problems in my home. She was hired to do a job, she named her terms. Within 20 minutes, of releasing EIaine, I found 10 other cleaning companies at the ready,.. less the whining. Playing on my sympathy, she apologize and asked for her job back. Hesitantly, I gave her the job back. I regretted that decision. On Sunday at 2pm, she came in for an hour, and left, while her ONE assistant cleaned for 3 hours, finishing at 6pm. Upon inspection on Monday morning, just before my tenant moved in, I find the main bathroom medicine cabinet was overlooked? The shelves turned upside down as if to show the clean side up? The mudroom, the back entry into the home was missed entirely. The shelves in the kitchen, not wiped at all. When asked, (as the tenant was moving in), Elaine became very defensive and aggressive. "Your house was too dirty and I worked on my day off!! Now, keep in mind, I have seen her hours of operation on Sundays, 12am to 12am is what is stated online. As for the cleanliness; my home is older, I've lived there for 19 years, and it was dusty. I did not hire her to clean a clean house, I hired her to clean a dirty house. Isn't that the point? On good faith, Sunday while she was cleaning, I gave her 10% discount back AND allowed her worker to keep my kitchen items. I even tipped Elaine another 15% based on her personal "strife" in cleaning my home. I hoped for her to pick her bottom lip off the floor and do a good job so I would have no issues when the tenant came the next morning. No such luck, it was the tenant who brought the uncleanliness of the kitchen, mud room to my attention. Again, when asked about the missed areas, more excuses from Elaine. She said she would contact my tenant to come in later that same day to clean... she never made that call. When asked why she didn't call, this time, her kids were sick. When I asked for her to make this right, she gave me attitude and said she'd come back 4 days into the future, "when she had an opening". At this point, my tenant didn't want a hostile person around her personal items, nor did I. When I asked for 1/3 of my bill returned, approx cost of the tip, the 10% discount for my personal items donated, and the value of the items that were left as garbage and the embarrassment of an unclean rented home, Eliene refused. A word to the wise, if you already have a clean home and need your counters wiped & toilets cleaned, this is your gal. If you are moving out, flipping a house or a broker who needs a cleaning between tenants, pass on this one. The fight is not worth the price and the time lost.

I was worried that the day would end poorly. My apartment was in a particularly wet location in Seattle which meant mildew grew rapidly and my bathroom looked terrible after we moved out (shame on me). Dasha assured that she would take care of it. She estimated 5 hours of work. I called the company to negotiate the price again (side note: does this happen to anyone else that the intial estimate price is never close to the actual price?)
