Walking through the city of Amsterdam, we were back near our hotel and were looking for a quaint, cute little café for dinner. We spotted this café and something pulled us in. Boy were we NOT disappointed. The little cozy eatery might be small but is Italian food heaven.
We started with wine of course, and then we had the cheese bread, which came out like a cheese pizza. Ooey gooey melted cheese sat atop a tender focaccia-style crust, it was scrumptious.
Mr. Bee enjoyed the Filet of Beef in a blue cheese, and gorgonzola sauce with tender green beans, zucchini, and potatoes. I am always drawn to anything with truffles or mushrooms and chose the truffle ravioli. If it wouldn't have been rude, I would have licked the bowl clean. The ravioli was perfectly cooked, and filled with truffle. If dinner wasn't enough, I spotted the Limoncello and strawberry tiramisu on the menu, yes, please.
It was an incredible meal, with excellent and caring service. So much so, once our friends arrived in town, we took them and went back and they loved it as much as we did.
It truly is a meal we won't soon forget, if ever. read more
