I've been coming to Dakgogi for their Tuesday half price wing special for years, and it never disappoints. You get a pound of wings and fries for half price, which is only $9.50 after the discount. The wings are large and very juicy, Korean style fried chicken. They have a variety of sauces including Yang neom (sweet and spicy), honey garlic, boorinkle (cheese powder), Buffalo, and more. The Yang Neom is my favourite - but beware it can get quite spicy! There are three levels and the Spicy level is no joke. I like to get it Spicy with the sauce on the side for dipping, so I can keep my wings crispy throughout the whole meal. You need to get a drink to get the promotional price but you can just get a soda, and if you do decide to get an alcoholic beverage they're pretty reasonably priced. They also have a nice patio at front of the restaurant on the bottom level, though usually they don't seem to seat people there, they will if you ask them.

Are you in the downtown after 10 o'clock and feeling craving for confort food? Well, Dakgogi on the Wellesley st. can satisfy you with famous Korean-style fried chicken along with other korean dishes. It is also a good place for hanging out with friends. There are many booths so you can talk louder while having some drinks. It feels chill with the western-style decoration and cool neon. It opens until 2:00am and it's in front of the Wellesley subway station. You don't need to worry about walking home or extra cost for taxi.

Great place for hanging out! loving the prinkle fried chicken Server was super nice good service.

If you're looking for a place to have some salty and savoury snacks and enjoy a fun time with friends, Dakgogi is the perfect place. It opens until 2:00 am and has enough space with booth seats. The background music is a bit loud there, but the atmosphere is chilling. The most incredible strength is their fried chicken. Their fried chicken is so tender and boneless, covered with sweet and spicy Korean sauce and the fragrance of honey, can't have enough once you've tried it. The buffalo chicken wing is a "hot" choice too, you can feel the spice dancing on your tongue and makes you crave more. The only thing they could improve is to hire more people since the staff are too busy to care for so many customers. It's still a good spot after all.

I frequent their Yonge location more often than this location and I do have to say that I prefer that location more. Service here was standard, it was really busy during the time my coworkers and I went so we were lucky to be able to grab a table. I found the fried chicken to be okay, I liked the Yonge location's version a bit more. Out of the spicy sauce fried chicken, spicy pork fries and dukbokki, the dukbokki was the winner for me. Convenient location, I will return if craving kfc in the downtown area.

Receipt without the tip included, then we had to ask them to put it on the receipt as it's being 'forced'

Food was sub-par, all the accompanying dishes ( fries and cheese corn) were served way before the chicken, and were cold and soggy by the time chicken came. The chicken was ok, but not full taste. For a table of 6 it was communicated that we would be forced to tip on the bill. When the bill came it didn't have the tip built in, and they chose 18% on the machine ( which is after tax, so essentially 20%). The servers were never around, and didn't deserve 20% let alone 15%. The ambiance of the restaurant, music too loud, bathrooms are literally destroyed, disgusting, and completely out of repair. I do not recommend you go to this restaurant. There are much better other ones like bb.q and mi-mi.

Tuesday is Wings night: Half Price of wings with a drink purchase. I have been to Dakgogi's location in North York and I personally think that the wings here is better than the other location. The lighting here is so dim. The music just deafening loud. I cannot even carry out a conservation without shouting at my friends. I would be back if I have craving for KFC in the downtown area.

Dakgogi, a Korean bar and late night spot, is located right across the street from the Wellesley subway station. It was the last stop on a mini food crawl for us and it happened to be Tuesday night, half price wing night. Yes! It was clear to see they'll have patio seating in warmer weather. Walking through the front door, the washrooms are at street level but require a combination to enter. You have to walk up the stairs to get to the main restaurant and then walk back down a few steps to get to the tables overlooking the patio and street. There were boxes of empty beer bottles lining the walls all over the place. I guess they sell lots of beer. We ordered a pound of wings with hot sauce on the side. It's half price on Tuesdays with the purchase of an adult beverage. The wings arrived, served with fries. Both were very crispy, just the way I like them. The thick hot sauce on the side kinda tasted like gochujang and it wasn't very hot. The wings were good naked, not needing any sauce but I dipped some fries in there and that wasn't bad. Good wings. The beer was served ice cold with a frosted glass. Nice! This place had the crappiest sound system I've heard in a while. It was loud and very distorted. The music selection was questionable and the song lyrics were unintelligible. Very annoying. This would actually prevent me from going back. Maybe the patio experience will be better in the summer.

Located across from Wellesley station, the entrance was a bit difficult to find since it's sort hidden down an aisle leading up to the apartment building. Once we finally found out way upstairs, we were lead to our seats, the greeter informed us that they will have to check our temperatures and we would have to provide our name and contact info. per COVID protocol. The only reason this place lost a star was the way the waiter went about asking if we were 2 or 6 people (it was just me and my gf)...I didn't think much of it at the time but it sort of hit me a lot later leaving, I sort of felt insulted. Regardless, gave them the lowest possible tip amount possible. Anyways, our order is down below and after taxes, our total was around $85 Apps and Drinks: - Chicken Cheese Ball - Mayo Corn Cheese - Smirnoff Ice x2 Main: Half and half KFC - Soy Chicken - Soy Garlic Chicken

Service was good when they actually came around. Hard to get to them but vibe was really cute. I liked this place a lot more than I thought. Highly recommend drinking with fried chicken here. Very fun spot and food tasted fresh.

Would give 3.5 stars if yelp allowed :) Go on tuesdays for half price wings! Way better than st. Louise in my opinion. Food (3/5): Wings and fries were super crunchy and delicious (though they were stale when they got cold, but that's to be expected). I would highly recommend the 'medium' sauce, although it wasn't spicy at all and was more like your usual sweet and savory korean fried chicken sauce. 2 areas for improvement would be: 1) No side dishes were given. At the fry or at Mymy chicken, you get radishes and corn with your order 2) The padak wings barely had any sauce on it and didn't come with green onions. Service (4/5): Very nice and friendly servers. We sat there for close to 6 hours but they never rushed us out. The only slight hiccup was when i walked into the restaurant and there were no workers there to direct me to sit down or anything. I was just awkwardly standing around haha Ambiance (3.5/5): I thought the individual wooden booths with fairy lights were super cute!

I love how they chill their beer glass

Came on a Saturday night, easy seating, good service. Ordered: Spicy chicken feet Egg soup Super addictive chicken feet, would definitely come back for these, super tender, the perfect amount of spiciness. Egg soup, a little over cooked for my liking, my personal opinion, and I feel they added a lot of MSG. Overall, I would come back for sure~

Hence we entered Jin Dai Lae. Good decision (yes, I am patting my back). Entree pricing was $3 to $4 lower than Markham/Richmond Hill. Portion was so big that you would be full, and might have to doggy bag. Most importantly, food tasted good. Short ribs stew had many pieces of beef. Squids hot plate was saucy. It wasn't too spicy, so it was good for me (menu didn't have a chilli sign either). For people who like it hot, you can ask for some chilli sauce.
