Small business at Jane & Lawrence.. tried it for the first time and called way in advance.. it took about 40+ minutes so I definitely recommend calling and order in advance. Good comfort food at a decent price. Tried the honey garlic wings and they were really nice and crispy!

I recommend calling ahead to place the order as the food takes about 30 mins to prepare. Ordered the Mac and Cheese with wings and added breaded shrimp. WOW... the Mac and cheese was the star of the show! So creamy and delicious.

MMMM Comfort food at its finest!! Kept seeing this place on my TikTok and Instagram so I had to see what the hype was about! First of all, mac and cheese GALORE!! so cheesy and yummy - the noodles were a bit overcooked but ill let it slide. the chicken wings were so yummy - nice and saucy. maybe a bit smaller than what im used to but the flavour was there so i didnt mind. also got a piece of cornbread - it was like cake!! so good. this could easily feed 2 people and for the price - its such a good deal. definitely recommend combo 4!!

Location was hard to find as it's a little hidden. I ordered ahead of time, as someone suggested. Food was ready in 20 minutes. Food was average. I thought good was pricey. Staff's energy could've been more inviting.

First time eating here and I must say, I am quite impressed. I got the mild wings and it was very flavourful and tender. And I also loved the macaroni and cheese, it was well seasoned and creamy. Perfect cheese to Mac ratio I would give it a five star but I feel like the cornbread and the shrimp was on the dryer side. The shrimp needed some sort of sauce to balance everything out. I did enjoy my food nonetheless, and the portions are very large so it's worth the money!

Combo #4, mac n cheese, breaded shrimp, honey garlic wings and cornbread

You can tell they put effort into making the food taste fire So good and filling, the portion is amazing

Came down here on their Thursday night seafood special…read more There's a good amount of seating as this night has live DJ and some clubbing as well with pool tables and such. They serve Caribbean but as mention Thursday they have seafood night. Basically the highest price tag on their menu around $40+ you get rice n peas, a corn, shrimps, mussels, cut up pieces of lobster and dungeness crab and you pick your sauce choice of curry or garlic butter... Sounds appetizing right? To start off with service it was really difficult getting our server to....well give us service. She's in and out and focus on making drinks for the bar area. Dress code... I've never seen staff not have one but here it is...You see the ladies wear basically whatever they want...Ours was in really short shorts riding up to the butt cheeks, wearing comfy flip flop of sort and showing some cleavage to get the extra tips and all. The apps ordered of calamari and shrimp was passable but the quality was definitely off and after finishing, there's no one really clearing it off. Supposingly, the highlight seafood dinner was by far the WORST UNEDIBLE dinner we've had... Basically the owners got it good...Sell it for the highest price tag for the LOWEST quality FROZEN seafood. We've never had seafood SOOOO bad that it makes other establishment like Red Lobster seafood much better. The crab and lobster meat was soo mushy that it literally becomes a puree spread... The only plus we'd say is the sauce for the garlic butter or curry was nice, but everything else was bad. No wonder there isn't anyone really highlighting the food with pics... Fellow Yelpers, we have pre-warned you to stay away from this establishment, especially, for their seafood which is TERRIBLE! Food: 0.5/5 Service: 1/5 Ambiance: 2/5 Price: 2.5/5 WILL NEVER....EVER....RETURN!!!

I had a really uncomfortable experience here tonight…read more My friends and I came in for drinks and, as we were leaving, one of the servers sarcastically said, "Sorry for the bad service." I was confused and told him the service wasn't bad--we're students and simply didn't have the extra money to leave a tip that night. He responded that if we couldn't afford to tip, we shouldn't come there and order one of the more expensive drinks. He then continued arguing with us, repeatedly saying that tipping is customary and that we could "go anywhere" and would be expected to tip. I understand that tipping is customary, but I found it incredibly inappropriate to confront and shame customers after they had paid their bill. Not receiving the tip you hoped for does not justify speaking to customers that way. What made the situation more concerning was that after we left, another woman came outside and told us that the same server had made similar comments to her and her boyfriend--even though they had tipped. Given the interaction and who appeared to be singled out, it also left us questioning whether there was a racial element to how we were treated. I can't know his motivation, but that is genuinely how the experience made us feel. I didn't get the server's name, but he was a shorter male server with red/ginger hair. We were otherwise having a perfectly normal night and had no issue with the service until this happened. Customers should not be confronted, lectured, or humiliated about gratuity after paying their bill. The server with longer hair a little older was cool and dope even brought our friend who wasn't drinking water so we rate u

While awaiting my train to Jasper I stopped at Fionn MacCool's Pub in Vancouver, B.C. The pub is a six-minute walk from the railway station and offers a selection of menu items that would work for a light mid-day meal. It was clean, uncrowded, and service was helpful and attentive. Hayden presented me with water and a menu, and I settled in for what turned out to be a great light lunch. I ordered the crispy Wagyu Gyoza dumplings (fried Wagyu Gyoza dumplings tossed in a Korean ginger BBQ sauce, topped with hot honey, sesame seeds, and gremolata, an Italian condiment made from chopped parsley, lemon zest, and garlic; $16CAD). With a Long Island ice tea and a side shot of Olmeca Gold, the bill came to $38.94CAD, reflecting a goods and services tax of 5% and a BC provincial sales tax on the liquor of 10%, so the total tab of $47.41 CAD when converted to US dollars the meal, including my tip, came to a very reasonable US$33.54.

I don't think that I had ever dined at a Fionn McCool in my life before this visit. Yes, I lead a sheltered life. After spending a day getting my CPR certification at work (I passed with flying colours and I miss my mannequin... haha!), I needed dinner. I decided to head back to the hotel and give Fionn McCool's a try. I hauled my stuff back to my room and simply headed over to this restaurant with my purse. I was immediately greeted at the host area. The woman seated me in a quaint corner. The padded bench seats were high, even for someone like me who is fairly tall. I was comfy. My server came over roughly seven minutes later. I didn't mind. It was enough time for me to review the beverages and food menus. I wanted wings. I ordered 1.5 pounds of wings in the buff (that is, they don't have any flour coating on the wings). I went with salt and pepper. The wings come with veggies. I chose ranch dip. I also ordered a Diet Pepsi. The raspberry blood orange cosmo intrigued me. I went for it. It came out first. It was delicious. The fruit flavours worked well together. There were crushed raspberries at the bottom of my glass. I didn't waste anything. I highly recommend this drink. My wings came next. Another server brought them out and indicated that I be careful. They were hot out of the fryer. I got two drumsticks out of the batch of wings. They were yummy! I was so happy. I liked dipping my celery and carrot sticks into the ranch dressing. Wings are in the appetizer section of the menu. It can completely serve as dinner. I felt like dessert. I asked my server for a dessert menu. She seemed so happy that I wanted more. I ordered the brownies and vanilla ice cream. I was so happy when my dessert came to my table. The presentation was cheerful and nice. I dug in. The brownies were moist, fudgy, and scrumptious. Vanilla ice cream balanced out and complemented the brownies nicely. My server came over and asked what I thought. I was in heaven eating everything. This eatery surprised me. I sat there and realized that there was live music. An older man was playing his guitar and singing during my entire time there. He played a bunch of classic rock songs. He had a great voice. I appreciated his talent and I dined, clapping after each of his songs without flinging my wings across the restaurant. I didn't realize that Fionn McCool's accepts Scene points. It's known as the Pubs on the app. I managed to get 20x the points my loading an offer on my app. Nice! My server was friendly and helpful. She got my bill and asked whether I wanted to charge my meal to my room. I paid with a credit card instead. Easy peasy. There is plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. Many folks drop by to watch the game (Leafs were playing when I was here), have a drink or meal, and leave. I had a great experience. The manager came over to ask how I was. He also said goodbye to me when I left. I haven't seen that in a while. I hope to eat here more often. (449)

I got the Catch Me if You Can (Maple & Extra Hot), breaded. The deep-fried mac was interesting in execution but pretty boring in flavour. I didn't go back for seconds. The poutine was standard, I enjoyed the flavor of the gravy but found myself seasoning it with chipotle Tabasco to make it more interesting. I enjoyed the flavor of wings I ordered, and the breading had a pleasant crispiness to it. My only complaint would be that these wings were ranked 5 on a scale out of 6 for heat level, and I probably would have ranked them at 3. The heat was pretty wimpy, so next time I'll probably go for a 6. Our service left not much to be desired, we were well attended to throughout the night, so no complaints there. I do think that some of the food is slightly over-priced for what it is, but that probably wouldn't stop me from going back in the future to hang out.
