    1lb fajitas
    Philp D.

Came here with some buddies on one of their suggestions. The place needs a rebo, but its a bar, so meh. The food was quite good. Had half pound of honey hot wings, and a large order of fajitas. The fajitas were not bad. Price was ok. The wings are where this place really starts to shine. My buddies just ordered wings. If I had room, would have ordered more but the fajitas filled me up. I tried a suicide wing from one of their orders, was spicey, but not brutal. Next time will just order 2-3 orders of the wings. Service was ok. Unfortunately the leafs turned a 4-1 lead to a 4-5 loss to Montreal, which gave me indigestion...

The food is always fresh and tasty, and they have a wide variety of items. The service is very good, and it is a nice friendly atmosphere.

As a local it's great to have a bar in this area. The food is fine, but then I don't tend to go to bars for the food.

    Review Highlights - Thirsty Fox

Thirsty Fox is the only pub in this neighbourhood, and while I can't say that I got a full picture when I was there last week, I did have a nice, albeit quick, experience.

Very nondescript outside facade - no sign telling you what it is other than a small "BSC" (for Bovine Sex Club) painted near the door. Hard to miss though as the exterior is made up a punk rock style sculpture of rusted bikes & other assorted ephemera. The interior is similar, visually. Great sound system & chill vibes pervade throughout. Weirdly the stage is right in the entrance of the club, on your left, with a long bar along the right side, heading back. Great, crowd, great location in cool area with lots of restaurants & plenty of parking - both on the street up to 2 hours & extended parking for a flat-rate of CA$20 (~$14 USD) from 6:00pm until the next morning, just 2 blacks away.

Are the beer cans running out? It's possible. But, it's a dive in the way of the old dives. And the acoustics for bands are... not great. But they are a sign of what once was. Without attempting to try to present a front of a time long gone, The Bovine simply exists today as it once did in that time long ago, before Smokes stickers, before iPhones, back when people would just go to a bar to talk with those they didn't know the morning prior. Bring cash though, unless you're looking to make some big orders, because credit card is a minimum fifty-dollar spend.

This was first on our list, located in the Scotiabank Tower on Adelaide. We got a nice corner table, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, not too loud but not library-like either. The music, mostly UK fare like their cuisine, played an acceptable volume that my friends and I didn't have to raise our voices. We were seated very promptly, and our server took care to attend to my friend's allergy. She even asked to change my friend's cutlery when another server brought the wrong salad. My appetizer was a hot-smoked salmon pâté, which was ok by itself, but eaten with the pickles gave it that taste I wouldn't forget. I chose for my main the Petit Roast Dinner; the cut was excellent, full of flavour and juicy to boot. The gravy for said cut just brought the roast to another level. The sides were delicious as well, especially the crispiness of the potatoes. A clean plate was the end result! Finally to finish the meal, I chose the chocolate banoffee cheesecake - I never pass on any cheesecake when it's offered. And it didn't disappoint! The banana brûlée was an interesting touch, while having toffee sauce drizzled on the cheesecake was a first (and not definitely last) for me! All in all, it was a nice introduction to The Rabbit Hole, and I can't wait to go down there again!
