I have such a love and hate relationship with this restaurant. My last 2 visits were for a lunch and they were fantastic as their lunch sets offer great value and variety of food. This time, I visited for a dinner with family and it was just so subpar. I made a reservation as I wanted to ensure that we got a big enough table to grill comfortably for 6 adults. Upon arrival, they tried to seat us on a smaller table barely big enough for 5. I asked them for a bigger table and they found one in the backroom which was sadly very dungeon-y and terribly laid out. It was a hot day and they barely had the A/C running, and had their doors wide open. They had one standing fan in this separate room which did nothing to cool down the space with all the grills going. We ordered 2 of their grill specials, beef & pork, and their beef was sooooo bad. Super tough, flavourless and cut without care. The pork fared better but by this point, our experience was so unpleasant, as everyone was sweating and barely tolerating the whole experience. They never came back to check on us and we felt completely ignored in this room. Almost $350 including tax and tip, I would not return to Piggy's for dinner again. Go elsewhere where you actually get the service and atmosphere you pay for.

I came here for dinner recently and this place can get very busy after 7pm at night. Overall, the food was mediocre and service was not good. It took us a while to get the waitress's attention to order the food. We had the family BBQ combo, the kimchi fried rice and the seafood pancakes. It took them quite a long time to serve the food after they set up the fire. There was smoke everywhere. The BBQ combo had varieties of pork and beef, cheese corns and vegetable side dishes. The beef was okay but the pork was way too oily. There wasn't enough BBQ dipping sauce provided. The seafood pancake was weird too. It came with many small pancakes such as a piece of zucchini, pepper, whole shrimp, fish and minced pork. Not the same as what I expected. The kimchi fried rice was okay though. Service throughout the meal was missing. It took us very long to ask for utensils, bills etc. I wouldn't consider revisiting frequently.

We went here for a Sunday brunch today. This place just hit all the spot. Taste, quality of foods, quality of meat, level or service, plenty of side dishes, cleanness, complimentary steamed rice and soybean stew. They refilled our side dishes constantly. As a Korean, I can say this is authentic Korean BBQ and must try place if you are craving a good Korean BBQ! Their remodelled interior is great - it has summer & beach themed interior makes me feel like im on my vacation!

Piggy's used to be one of my favourite K-BBQ spots and was so popular back in the day before the pandemic / fire they experienced. I decided to come back and support the restaurant after the re-opening. The food quality is still among the top and I love UFO fried rice and banchan that came with the food. We ordered aged pork belly and I believe if I remember correctly the rib eye. The banchan was good. They also gave us buttered or margarine corn on the house. My fav of the banchan is the potato. We were able to refill our banchan and lettuce at no extra cost. However, the buttered corn is not refillable and extra. Service is nice and they even help you cook the food for you. Casual spot and enjoyed my meal. It's a lot less busy than it used to be. I hope their business picks up. I quite enjoyed my experience though it is quite expensive these days to enjoy it as often. My partner thinks it's a bit different to how it tasted before. Though I can't be too certain I remember how it tasted before. It could be the cut of meat we ordered this time.

Was excited to try Piggy's after it reopened and seeing some instagram reviews. I was also excited to learn that it's a sister restaurant of BapZip (and I love BapZip). The dumplings were not that good, the filling wasn't that flavourful, seemed loose and watery. The chili oil did the heavy lifting here. The UFO fried rice was also pretty meh. The bacon was overcooked and hard almost. And it was almost too salty. The cold noodle was decent but the noodles clumped in spots which didn't seem right. Better than the rice and dumplings but expected better still. The whole octopus seafood pancake was VERY good! Octopus was perfectly cooked and the batter was fried nicely. Crisp throughout! I don't know if I'd come back.

Came here with friends for just a fun night. We were a group of 7, but they sat us in 2 tables which was a bit awkward. It was super busy so took a while to order and the waitress was super forgetful and was running around the entire restaurant. The food took a while to come but was delicious. There was also a 20% off discount if you paid with cash, so we did that.

They finally opened after their renovations and I was excited to try this place again. The decor is great! I love the cute idea of calling it piggy's island with all the aesthetics!! A good amount of seating that didn't feel cramped or close to other tables. I went for the kbbq and I ordered the short rib and the garlic beef. I'd say everything was pretty fresh and good except that I found the meat a bit chewy. The service was prompt and efficient. During this dinner, they changed the bbq plate out twice which was appreciated as I didn't like my meat to taste like char. The prices were decent as I think it's on par with other kbbq places. Overall, a great place to get good food amongst friends.

Restaurant looks refreshed and cute with a piggy bar. Service is friendly and attentive. Food wise, we only tried the lunch platter, so ratings may be different on bbq instead. Bbq at our neighbouring bbq tables do look good. Lunch platter has a nice variety of entrees, sides and soup. However, our hot dishes (Bulgogi and fried chicken) came out a little cold. I would also prefer the pancake being more crispy. I am not a fan of the fried fish (not small bones enough that one would eat it with the bone), and too much work to pick it out. Lunch platter is 28$ per person. Pic shows amount of food for 2 people, which is sufficient but doesn't stand out. We would come back to try the Korean bbq tho. Seating is good for smaller people but tight for larger people.

This place is an old favourite. This time we tried their cast iron pork belly KBBQ and assorted pancakes (jeon), which are new on their menu. The food showed up fast and the cast iron cooked the meat fast without burning. The quality of the meat itself was top notch. The jeon is also something special that you can't usually find in other Toronto restaurants easily. I highly recommend trying it with one of their rice wine selections. It's an experience hard to find outside of Korea. The service is fast and attentive. Highly recommend!

I've been to Piggy's a couple times before the fire, each time I remember it being so good, lovely vibrant atmosphere and the food was top notch. When I heard that they had renovated, I wanted to come try it out. We had the bbq combo for $99 (2-3 pp) came with 5 different meats, tteokbokki, corn cheese, some apps with vegetable pancake. The food was good don't get me wrong, but I thought it was pricey for what it was. When we asked for more pancake, they said it was not part of the refillable side dish, also when we asked for more cheese corn, they said it was not allowed for our combo. They did not even give us an option of how much it would be to get extra. The service was okay, it was pretty dead on Sunday evening, when I came in and was shown a table with stools, I requested a booth. There were many available and he told me 2 of them was reserved, so I pointed out the many other booths then he let me sit in the booth. It would just be more comfortable for my 2 young boys than the stools without backs. We had to flag them down for more tea and they put all the meat on a few times trying to cook for us, which made us feel rushed. We wanted to take our time to cook it. The beginning I understand when they try to put it on to cook, but they came back a few times to put the rest of the meat on which means we had to eat it quickly before it got cold, which is difficult when your trying to feel the kids at the same time. Anyways, I don't think I will come back and I hope they consider having some flexibility with refills on the sides and not just say no, some customers are willing to pay extra.

Food: Tea was great. We ordered a pork and kimchi soup which was indicated as spicy. We also had tuna tartare and the radish kimchi fried rice. Service: They had good service and accommodations as I asked if they only had table bbq, and was informed that I could order the soups from the lunch menu as well. It's good to know that that was an option. Ambiance: Decor definitely screams island. From the wood plank benches to the surfboard and island video projected on the back wall, they've nailed it on the theme. Overall:While we didn't choose table bbq, smelling everyone's meal around us definitely made us want to return.

Typical Chinese lamb skewer place.. they have 2 kinds of lamb skewers, regular ones and fatty ones.. the fatty ones didn't taste flavourful.. nothing really special.. so i look at it as a marketing gimmick.. The sausage skewers were fail.. when done right, they should be juicy, flavourful, and crispy skin.. wasn't juicy and wasn't crispy. Right away told to BBQ it more, still didn't do the trick.. probably because the sausage casing was man-made as opposed to real intestine casing.. basically hot dogs versus sausages.. Enoki mushrooms were great! Chives were great! Soft-bone chicken knees were great! But in my opinion, for one of these places to deserve praise, the lamb skewers must be great.. which they were just meh.. One unique item on the menu was lamb brain!! Never seen this item on a menu in GTA before.. gave it a try.. when it first came, i picked one up with a spoon and chopsticks. It smelt like lamb meat.. and therefore felt promising.. tasted like under-cooked Pork liver.. it didn't have much flavour.. and was mushy.. don't know how this is supposed to taste when prepared superb, but this didn't taste good.. we didn't finish it.. I might consider ordering this item again at a different restaurant if I do ever see it again.. Bill was $135 plus tip for 3 players.. Also, for a drinking place on Yonge street near Yonge and Finch.. this place is not trendy at all.. interior wasn't new.. old refurbished restaurant.. no tvs.. no atmosphere.. can't see this being a long-time thriving 4 star establishment in the future..

There are different things you can order that you cannot get elsewhere. It was $45.99 per person. Our highlight was the food, but also the service was amazing.
