I don't know about anyone else, but I came here two weeks ago on a Thursday and had the time of my life! I actually first stopped in here for a quick happy hour drink before I headed to an event a few blocks away. The sandwich board menu outside definitely caught my eye, drinks $5 and under?? Count me in! To make the entire stop in better, the drinks were good, actually great! I went with the Hard Lemonade, a soju lemonade cocktail. It was refreshing and delicious! After heading to the event, which sucked, my friends and I were trying to figure out where to go instead, mentioned this place and we went back. We stuck with Hard Lemonades and bottles of Soju, sang karaoke and ordered some food. We ordered fries, which were crunchy and delicious with a bunch of dipping sauce that they made in house. We ordered a bunch just from try and didn't have one we didn't like. We also ordered Boneless Chicken, also fried to perfection and were amazing. Not dried out, juicy and so good. Already making plans to come back! If you are looking for more of a crowd come after 8 but come around 5-6 for a good drink and a quiet bar with good drinks. read more

My favorite karaoke bar in New York! The service is amazing and the private rooms are really reasonable. A Williamsburg staple!

The food was pretty disappointing here. They serve Korean dishes mostly but the food tastes very fusion and not very Korean. We had the fried chicken and it was just poorly fried chicken bits with dipping sauce on the side. Overall not really worth it. read more

I ordered Dak Zip for delivery late night after midnight: I had pork belly crispy sushi, a small Cha Bul Dak, Bulgogi Rangoon, and Teriyaki Fried rice. Honestly for me to have ordered this right before they closed I was very satisfied. The sushi was least appetizing but I put that on the time a day. My first time with crispy sushi also. The Cha Bul Dak was quite good though. Make sure you a rice as it comes by itself. The Rangoon was surprisingly very good. I would love to visit this place and eat in person next time. read more

My group landed at Dak Zip simply because it was the only restaurant with outdoor tables not already filled to capacity on a popular Saturday night. Anyone challenging whether NY is still bustling need not look further than Bedford Ave on a sunny weekend evening to see for themselves. Dak Zip has these little wooden rooms set up, replete with an overhead heat lamp and a limited menu of Korean bar bites and beers, so it fit the bill for what we were looking for. For how limited their beer selection was and for how underwhelming their food was, the prices made me raise an eyebrow. This place is truly no frills. When I went inside to use the restroom, I could hear that their karaoke rooms were alive and well, so if you're looking for a place to belt it out, this may be a good place to go. read more

I ordered delivery from this place craving some good Korean food and the reviews and photos were so promising on Caviar. I was so disappointed to a point of feeling like leaving a review. I hate leaving bad ones, but I spent almost $100 on some really bad food. Everything we ordered was sweet. The popcorn shrimp was sweet, the rice cake skewers were sweet, and even the tonkatsu sauce was sweet. I have never had sweet tonkatsu sauce. Not to mention I don't think there was any pork in the tonkatsu. The kimchi fried rice was awful. The "kimchi" was just salty ass cabbage. I am just so sad. read more

This place is fire--have ordered from here twice this week. I have tried japchae from so many local Korean restaurants, and this location has the *best* in the area. Honestly selfishly writing this review because I love their japchae, and want them to stay in business for as long as possible because it is getting me through quarantine. The chili dumplings are also delicious 10/10. The crunchy sushi is unlike anything I've had before--worth a try if you want to try something new. Honestly, kind of disappointed by the low rating other users have given--if you actually read them, they are waaaay too harsh about minor issues, and there aren't enough reviews at this point for them to be balanced out. We were excited to receive our order because we we're starving. We kept it simple and ordered the pork belly crispy sushi ($7.95) and a medium crispy boneless chicken ($26.70) and we were extremely disappointed. For starters, the food was way overpriced for what we received. We are Korean food enthusiasts but this was probably the worst Korean food we ever had. Secondly, it was extremely salty. Every. Single. Bite. We had to wash it down with our Diet Coke every time we took a bite. Thirdly, some bites were too overcooked and inedible. They were way too hard and couldn't be poked through with our chompers. We barely made a dent in our food and had to toss the rest. How do you so Korean chicken poorly?! So disappointing. We ordered the Cha Bul Dak (Dak Zip Chicken) large, and as soon as we opened the container, the chicken had a the all too familiar "old freezer chicken" smell. The sauce was very sweet, and with a name like Bul Dak (fire chicken, literally), it barely had any kick. It also had no rice cakes, though the description said it would. Fried pickles were just literally fried pickles- I don't know why I thought it would be something else, I guess. But for a chicken specialty house, it was super disappointing. $34 for maybe three pieces of chicken breast cut up into cubes, no rice cakes or veggies? At least at a Chinese restaurant, I'll pay a whole lot less and get vegetables with my entree. read more

yeah wow, i really redownloaded yelp after 4 years to leave a bad review here. this is one of the most disappointing and disgusting places i've ever ordered from. salty, fusion made by someone who has never made any asian food in their life. cloyingly sweet and overpriced, fries were hard, chicken tasted like someone emptied a bag of frozen chicken into sauce and cooked it until it was inedible, shrimp was a measly portion, pickles were sweet and disgusting, coleslaw tasted like it was picked from a restaurant depot jar. not sure if this place is a front or if they pay no rent to stay on grand street because this is absolutely a horrible buy. i feel bad giving this restaurant money honestly. stay far away! like at least one borough away from this place... read more

I love fried chicken and Japchae from this place! This is my go to spot for late night snacks. All staffs were very nice and kind over the phone and delivered food ware same good quality as I usually have them in the restaurant. I have to say the fried chicken is very crispy and juicy. Ordered this tonight. Two entrees and three sides. The app said the order was complete but when the order arrived one entree and a side were not there. It's two of us and the one entree of beef bulgogi is tiny. And the stuff that didn't come was what may partner wanted.. When you've been moving and your starving this is your own little horror movie.
