He always treats my "baby" like the princess she is and keeps me fully informed on all services as well as what maintenance and or repairs need to be done and when. Highly recommend Christian Brothers in general but THIS store especially!!!

Update: Their Front Desk Guy Hooked me on a $200 dollar UPsell on my Vintage PU Truck that I had…read morebrought in for 1(one) minor issue involving the PRNDL linkage. Without indicating there was ANY cost involved whatsoever, Front Desk Guy sweetly asked "would you like us to give it a once-over?" Which, since I was at that time a regular customer, I THOUGHT that meant just give it a safety-check out of courtesy to a repeat, publicly complimentary, senior-citizen client that they maybe cared for! How wrong I was. After having it several days, they tell me that they can't fix the original problem because they "Couldn't find the part - and wouldn't install an after-market part off of Ebay" (My car is a 1999 w/ low mileage) Then the real Clinker after 3 days: They call and say, "We couldn't fix your problem, but come and get your truck and pay Christian Bro's nearly $200 bucks for a "diagnostic" that I WAS NOT INFORMED UP FRONT would cost anything at all! But also, this 'Diagnostic' informs me that my truck needs OVER $4300 DOLLARS in servicings and repairs - Including NEW BRAKES that, apparently the "Diagnostic expert" wasn't aware had been replaced by them on that very truck a few months earlier! I felt totally taken advantage of and complained to the manager, John, who gave me some "yada yada" and stated that that particular employee working the front desk was fired - However, and this is the whole point of the story - This manager of this multi-million dollar, allegedly 'Christian', gold-mine on the corner of Thunderbird & 75th Ave would NOT refund all, or any part, of this deceitful charge with a humble apology for their unscrupulous employee (note: Failure to disclose a COST right up front is a LIE ) Not only that, but Upsell #1 opened the door for MEGA-UPSELL #2 of $4,319 dollars! I STILL look back at this lengthy report with shock and awe. According to this diagnostic that I didn't ask for, there's no reason, whatsoever, my truck is still able to roll down the street. According to them, practically EVERYTHING on my vehicle is on it's last couple of miles.; Lastly, and final insult to my patronage, my age, my intelligence, nor would Christian Brothers even offer a discount or a half-off on the next visit to them. You know, a way of saying, "We still want your business". I think they saw a senior-woman and saw a dumb sucker ready to be plucked out of the stream of suckers. In that lone experience, I learned Christian Brothers is all about "Show me the $ MONEY $" They are only after the money, and customer retention is completely moot. They could care LESS if you are a returning customer. I am no longer using Christian Brothers for any auto repair needs. If anyone knows of an HONEST, caring, competent auto mechanic around Peoria/Glendale please be so kind as to DM me. I'm shopping for one. **I tried to scan & copy the actual Invoice from this incident, but for some technological mystery beyond me - I couldn't get this file search in Yelp to access where I am sure I put the two files.**

Staff were friendly & informative & weren't trying to upsell which is an unfortunate common occurrence at many places. It's shady & annoying! Provided my vehicle's year, make , model, full synthetic to the main contact person at Take 5 -- was advised w/$25 coupon available, TOTAL cost would be $60.99 + tax. I confirmed twice... "as long as you opt out of add-ons." At location, it begins... provided menu of oil change only options: Economy, Core, Complete, Ulitmate. Full synthetic marketed price is Economy option. MY choices do not include Economy as is 5/30W oil, your car requires 0/30W. All pricing based on 5 qts oil, your car (most, if not all, cars) require 6. Each add'l quart $8.99 ( 5/30 only ) - $13.99, depending on choice of oil change. + shop fees( expected) , + + Feel badly for the nice enough & attentive techs, who clearly understand how shady it is and dealing with customer frustration is obviously very common. My fault for allowing the car to be overdue for service, and must complete on a Sunday - very limited options. 20 mins later-- getting the Core (cheapest 0/30W) , use of the suggested $25 coupon, and after declining the $ 24.99 single windshield wiper ((singular) buy one get one something- ) , cabin air filter (not needed, I saw it), no other fluids needed ( but thanks for checking), oil change only - TOTAL $89.13 Would likely return if I was told the total was $80 + taxes (and not offered BS coupon) when I called. Just be straight with people!

I brought my vehicle to Thunderbird Automotive Specialist with a fully functioning cruise control…read more It was working perfectly the day I dropped it off. When I picked up my car, the cruise control was no longer working. When I brought this to their attention, I was met with skepticism, as if my concern wasn't valid. That was frustrating, especially since I know my vehicle and how it was operating prior to service. They asked to keep the car for further inspection, which I agreed to. A couple of days later, they informed me the issue had been "fixed." However, when I asked what the problem was, I was told it was the cruise control switch. What raised serious concerns for me was what came next. When I asked for documentation or a repair record, I was told there was none--because the mechanic had paid for the part out of his own pocket. That explanation simply does not sit right. If a repair was performed, there should always be documentation--regardless of who paid for the part. Transparency is basic professionalism. The lack of paperwork, combined with the fact that the system was working before my visit, strongly suggests something happened while the vehicle was in their care. More disappointing than anything was that no one took responsibility, and no apology was offered. Mistakes can happen in any shop--but honesty and accountability matter. Because of this experience, I will not be returning.
