Two are infected today (the next day). I had to ask her to stop and that it's sensitive and hurts. She applied some alcohol to one nail and I told her it burns and she never said a word to me. Also, they don't have other services for the pedicure like parafin wax, scrub, masks--I saw pics of the levels for pedicures but I wasn't offered any. I've gotten my nails done for 15+ years in many cities and places and just thought this experience was very weird and different.

Disappointment follows by the first, second, or third visit at the latest. If you need a nice clean, well, polished mani or pedi this is it. I constantly try to find a place a little closer to home for convenience, but you cannot beat the level of professionalism, and quality that you receive here. Not to mention you get two free drinks. Not sold yet? They also have a pretty nice loyalty program that allows you to earn points during your visits. I don't know any other salon that incentivizes customers like that in BHAM. I can tell you my horror stories about going to another salon before my wedding and the tech filing half my toe off ONLY to return here so that they can restore my wedding nail dreams. Or how I've never once had a bad experience the dozens of times that I've come. But don't trust me come check it out. It's right off the interstate and worth the extra drive.

The prices are steep, I paid $70 for this gel extension set with a plain color. Their base price is $65 and it's an extra $5 for length or shape (can't remember). Acrylic base price is $57, and for French it would've been an extra $8. I'm not a huge fan of charged for shape (bc who doesn't get a shape?) but I would probably come back if I were to get gel again. for acrylic I would go somewhere cheaper!

The last time I was there, my tech let me sit with foils on my nails for 30+ minutes while he took a break. This was especially frustrating, given that I had limited time. He previously told me that the color I chose might appear slightly different, and that if I did not like it, he would add some gel polish to balance it out. He finished up, and did not ask if I liked the end result -- just said "thank you" and quickly brought me up to the counter. While the end result looked fine, the color was wildly different than what I chose, and I was bothered by the way he treated me. If I had more time, I would've said something. Between that and it being impossible now to make an appointment over the phone, I have a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. I've seen some very entitled clients who ask their tech for multiple color changes, but I really don't think I should have to speak up about something as blatant as this.

My pedicure at points was painful. Towels WAY too hot. His hands were not steady. It didn't help that the nippers were dull and wouldn't cut my toenails. Then he used the same ones on the skin. Not great. He swapped out for a younger lady to paint my gel polish. Unfriendly to say the least, but the worst part was the polish. Base coat was fine. The she applied 4 layers of gel polish plus a top coat. WAY too thick. Then at the end she took out the file and started filing the front of the nails and sides. At that point I knew something was going to be wrong. I didn't notice until I left and had time to actually look at the polish but it was lumpy (not suprizing with so many coats) and there were areas with no polish and areas with streaks. Worst of all was the dull, uncoated areas that she filled off. If you don't know, when you file gel and don't reapply a top coat that is what makes it chip. I've been a licensed cosmetologist for 25 years.

He cut me with the nail drill and didn't do anything about it. Not to mention the fact that my nails are lumpy, droopy, none are the same shape, and the end of my nails aren't straight. If I could personally give Kevin a Yelp review for the nails he gave me today, I would give him negative 3 stars. My nails are my confidence and these are just making me depressed.

Her work was extremely clean--one of the best gel pedicures I've had. They also offer a paraffin wax pedicure, which I'd never experienced and decided to try out. It felt wonderful. I probably wouldn't get it every time I get a pedicure, but it would be a nice treat every once in a while. I've been to this shop a few times before and have never experienced this rudeness and unprofessionalism I received yesterday. I showed Anh what I wanted done and she confidently agreed she could do the designs. My nails were rushed the entire time during the design part. What was suppose to be an ombré French tip, was not. I calmly stated to her that it did not look ANYTHING like ombré. She simply took the tip of a brush and just dabbed dipping powder on top, then she immediately became dismissive and rude once I explained to her the design wasn't accurate. She rolled her eyes several times and scoffed repeatedly while finishing and correcting my nails. Once finishing my nails, Anh went to the back room of the shop instead of immediately checking me out. I stood up front waiting to be checked out longer than I should have after an unprofessional service. I will NEVER be back to this shop for the way I was treated yesterday.As a registered nurse, I take pride in how people are treated. I'll for sure make sure other nurses and doctors don't come here as well.
