Awful experience! I used to live in Birmingham so I, along with my family, have been here several times. I've never had an experience like this before. My mom and I got manis (gel for me, powder for my mom) and pedis on a Friday. During the pedicure the technician dug so much around my big toe that I bled. Well that happens sometimes but when I told her to stop, it was fine as is, she laughed. I realized there was a language barrier so a colleague had to translate for her. Again, this happens sometimes and that's fine as well. My concern is that I brought several things to her attention and we were unable to communicate. Another example, I have very sensitive skin and asked that she not use the scrub or oil because of this and that I brought my own. She began using BOTH while my mom and I had to yell to get her to stop or for the colleague to translate. Besides these health oversights by what I took to be licensed professionals, the job the technician did was AWFUL. My toe polish was so outside of the cuticles, the polish was lumpy and uneven. I got the same color on my gel manicure and after 2 days it was already peeling and chipping. I had to go to my grandmother's funeral with it like that, which was the whole reason I was there for the service anyway. I went back a few days later thinking it was the polish and tech because my mom's looked fine with powder. I explained the situation and they told me to start peeling it off myself while the new technician finished with another customer -_- but I obliged. I chose a different polish and was satisfied enough with the results so as I'm attempting to tip the tech, she says it's $25. Excuse me?! The first go round already cost $75 and it was a hack job. The only reason I went back was to fix THEIR bad work. She told me to speak with the front desk and he said that since I chose a different technician and a different polish, it should've been $35 but they can do it for $15. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? If you have techs with varying skill levels the prices should reflect that. FURTHER if you can't stand behind the products you use, why are you using them?!! Any other shop I've ever been to over the DECADES of getting my nails done will fix their own mistakes FREE OF CHARGE. That's because they can actually guarantee their work will hold up. It was courtesy that I was going to even tip AGAIN at all! I should also mention that while I was in there another customer was there for the THIRD time getting her nails fixed for a similar issue!! Mind you, I've had a very long day. I walked in 15 minutes before closing. Instead of turning me down, they chose to let me in and provide service. If I had known I would be tormented the entire time, I would've left. When I sat down, one of the workers clearly stated to me, "You're lucky he accepted you because it's so late." Then, another coworker laughed, and they began to talk about me. I have never had a more awkward or bad experience in a nail shop in my life. I had a gel manicure. They looked horrible when I left but I needed to leave so I said, "thanks!" And left. The next day they started peeling off and were sticky, like they were wet under the top coat. I have never had this happen in years of getting gel. I've been coming here since I was in middle school. Unfortunately I didn't like the service today. I don't know if it was because they had several customers in there or not. I Went here today to get my eyebrows waxed as I normally do. I waited about 30 minutes which was ok, but I'm normally in and out since the process doesn't take long. When I got called back Rose told me to what a minute and I said ok l. My phone rang and I took the call since I was waiting. A few minutes later she came and said to me, "if you're not ready l can work on someone else". Keep in mind, she told me to wait. I almost told her never mind and was going to get up and walk out, but I didn't since I had already wasted 30 minutes sitting. I found what she said and her tone rude. i usually come here for my regular french tip but this time i came for a manicure and it was not a great experience.. i was argued about how i wanted my toes as if im not the one paying.. and my feet felt butchered afterwards from being man handled ( gripping my feet and ankles hard placing them where he wanted them on the towel )and scratched by the workers long fingernails. Not to mention the water almost boiled my toes at first before i asked for it to be made cooler .. very passive aggressive. And the icing on the cake was when i made my transaction the receipt and pen were not placed but slammed on the counter and ofc i did not tip. i wont be coming back here again! read more

I signed in and I went to the restroom before sitting down (there was about a 30 minute wait). Then, I walked right out! After seeing how unsanitary the restroom was, I could not let those people provide services. Hair in the sink... dirtiness on the floor as well as the door. I tried this place for a pedicure because I needed one quickly and they didn't have a wait. I went back the next week because I had gotten SNS at a popular, expensive salon and it was already chipping. I had no wait and got the best SNS manicure I've ever gotten. I had been going to a place in Hoover and paying at least $50 each time for a decent SNS manicure. This was the best one by far and only $40 with a tip. By far the BEST SNS in Birmingham. The people here are very kind and personable, know what they're doing, and take their time to get it right. The gentleman that did mine even took the time to repair my broken nails that were damaged by the last place and did a beautiful job. read more

Honestly awful nail service, got gel manicure which once was $15 now it's $20 which is confusing when they should have a set price. Anyways as my nail technician works on my nails and she cut the edge of my fingers multiple times which caused bleeding. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I came here earlier this week for a gel manicure. The nail tech did not do a good job at all, I had nail polish all over my skin around my nails and the gel peeled off the next day. I came back 2 days later to get it fixed and ended up having the same nail tech. She did an awful job again and when I asked her to remove the nail polish from the skin surrounding my nails, she ignored me and rushed me out. 2 of my nails didn't even have a top coat on it. I came to get it removed and calmly asked for a refund to which one of the nail techs told me to get out or she'll call the police on me. read more

Myself and three friends just received the most relaxing pedicure of our life at Rose Nails! We just finished out last final of the semester and needed to destress. My feet are so soft and I felt so comfortable, which is important because I don't get pedicures done regularly so I'm not 100% comfortable with my feet being touched. Pricing was very reasonable.
