Stopped in really quick as this was a pleasant discovery on the way to my third meal of poke in LA. Since I didn't get tea that I liked at the last Daiso, I figured this would have it. I think each Daiso has slightly different offerings because I couldn't find it so quickly walked out. Nevertheless, Daiso is always clean and well lit and well organized. Me love daiso! This daiso is a little bigger than the other ones, but still jam packed full of things in every aisle. It is still hard to navigate through the aisles without bumping people. This store location is a little different from the one I'm used to in that all of the dishware is segregated away from the rest of the store. The California lead warning on the dishware was not purchase inducing at all. Otherwise, it's an a-typical experience. Your Hi-Chew superstore. Another Daiso in the 626?! Awesome! I usually go to the one on the Atlantic plaza and didn't know there was one here. The parking lot can sometimes be an issue because there are so many different stores and restaurants in this plaza. It wasn't ever this packed until they opened Bbay, JJ Bakery & cafe, and more. Daiso has better quality products than dollar tree and 99 cents store. I feel like Daiso will one day run those stores out of business. Even though, it's priced at $1.50, almost everything here is imported from Japan and quality is never an issue for me. I love how they sell Pocky sticks and other chocolate snacks! They also have Ramune soda, I hope they also get the candy soon. Daiso sells different seasonal items, as it's now October, they have a lot of Halloween products. Lines are usually fast since they have a lot of cashiers. There is a minimum in using credit card which is $10 though. However, you can find almost everything here! read more

So happy this Daiso opened up because now I can routinely buy a bunch of stuff I don't need with just a 2 min drive away, hooray! But seriously. This Daiso is much MUCH better than the Monterey Park branch (for now) because it hasn't been overrun by crazy Asian customers shoving you out of the way (yet). However for the sake of continuity, the aisles are of course super small, and you can't even get through without turning your basket sideways... It got to a point where if I saw someone in an aisle, I'd just wait and shop in another aisle until it was clear. I guess it's a bit like playing Pacman, haha. I was in the store last night and I just love this place, omg so many cute things and only $1.50 unless marked otherwise but dam $1.50 you can't beat that. You can get good stainless steel knives for only $1.50, when you would pay way more then that for one somewhere else. They have almost everything you need for your household needs and more! This is my favorite Daiso store. Store is very clean and staff is extremely helpful! I wish I knew the name of the employee who went out if his way to help me when i needed something not in stock. I was surprised to see a Daiso all the way out in Temple City. This location is certainly much smaller than the one in Monterey Park, but definitely has all the little trinkets that Daiso typically carries for $1.50/most items. There is a $10 minimum for credit cards but no minimum for debit card usage. Also, there are no returns allowed for their merchandise as duly stated by my cashier when I paid for my items. read more

This is the Asian, cute, "dollar" store. Everything is actually $1.50 unless otherwise posted. You can buy: household decorations, mugs, cleaning supplies, nail/beauty items, plates/utensils/cookwear, socks/mittens, Asian candies and treats, and a plethora of other adorable items. I usually go buy their cotten pads for $1.50 = 130, 150, 180 pcs. Depends on when you go, but I usually go for the biggest pack! They are very soft and useful for makeup removal, nail polish removal, and other such things. It is a great place to go with your friends and waste time or if you're off to college or to a new apartment. I hate the small aisles and the long lines though! Prepare to spend time at this shop, its wonderfully distracting! read more

Once upon a time, the only large value stores that existed in this and the surrounding areas were Dollar Trees and 99 cent only stores. Then, within a matter of 1.5 years, there are 3 Daisos within a 7 mile radius! This is such a great place to find random Japanese type items, like little cute stuff for bentos, chopstick holders, mug covers, etc etc. Its nice to have a place for things like that since we're so far from Japan. My favorite item from here are the apple slicers--for $1.50! I see this item at target but it usually ranges about $4-7! What a deal! Note: you will come across the occasional item that is more than $1.50. But these are usually fairly marked up, for better quality and size items. read more

came here 3 hrs after the grand opening in hopes that it will not be packed. WRONG! super packed and hard to find parking. :( after getting a parking spot, went into daiso to be crowded up with people everywhere. hard to navigate around the store; i guess you just have to be mean sometimes and push your way through lol. not sure if their a/c was broken or not but SUPER STUFFY IN THERE. i mean even with the masses of people, i should have felt some breeze right? didn't feel any, just felt like a sauna room. the items are arranged very similar to other daiso's, with cosmetics being on the far left, stationery near the middle aisles and so on. the cosmetics area was a bit too small to my liking though and i believe the daiso with the biggest cosmetic selection is the atlantic one near elac compared to the one in atlantic square and here. i felt this location has more variety in terms of kitchenware. they sell pretty much the same stuff other daiso's do as well, except a few variations in the cosmetic area. well, it was way too packed and i couldnt even go through some of the aisles, so i guess i will be back someday lol. read more

Nice that they opened another Daiso location in the San Gabriel Valley area with the other closest location here being the one in Monterey Park. At least here, parking is much easier to find because of the lack of good businesses in this plaza. Daiso here is as big as the other location providing lots of goodies for cheap; though I see some things here that aren't even worth $1.50 which is the standard cost here. From kitchen to the bathroom to phone accessories, you'll find most of what you need here for cheap. I've never had to shop much at the other Daiso location and didn't find much here as well. Otherwise if I needed something for cheap, I'd come here since it's closer to me. Good to see Daiso expand as they have plenty to offer for your everyday goods for a very affordable price. read more

This is one of thr larger Daiso location I've been to. It's nicely organized and COLD. Not sure why they have the AC blasting but oh wells. Aside from that, I love that everything is about $1.50 unless stated otherwise. There are a few things you're better off investing more money into but little trinkets here and there, you can't complain for $1.50. Unless you're spending more than $10, make sure to bring cash! Everything is super cheap here! So I've actually never been to this location because I live close to the Atlantic Plaza one in Monterey Park. I think that one's slightly bigger as well. The first Daiso that I went to was around last year when it opened, in Hacienda Heights. It was so packed that my friend and I left. Asians can honestly go crazy over cheap things. (: So the parking lot in this plaza is huge. But getting into the parking lot could be a bit troublesome due the traffic and road constructions on Rosemead Blvd. I missed the first entrance and had to make a whole big circle around to go back in. The Plaza is kind of split into two mini plazas so you have to drive all the way into the back, emptier area - that's where you're going to find the pink and cute Daiso! ^.^ This location is pretty empty, not sure why. Maybe it was on a weekday or even during a later lunch hour. Or people don't go to this location as much? But I walked in looking for a planner because my co-worker got this cute planner from there that I really wanted to buy. I asked the cashier lady if she could help me find it. She lead me to the calendar section and then the stationary section where they had only ONE type of planner - super small and kiddish. So I just ended up getting a regular cute notebook and decided to draw my own lines in there to make a monthly calendar instead then I can use the empty sheets to do notes or reminders, etc. So why would I give this place a 3 although I do like coming here? Well no like, I do love Daiso if I need something cheap and know that it won't last me long, but this location was mehh to me because of the store size and didn't have some of the things that I saw at the other location. I'm from the East Coast where where we just have regular dollar stores, so visiting Daiso for the first time almost made my head explode. So much cute everything! And tons of things you never knew existed or ever thought you'd need- ie banana scissors! It's so easy to get swept up in it all, and before you know it, you've blown about 90 bucks and figuring out how to bring all this stuff back home almost puts you in a bind. Oops! This Daiso has too many young workers here that don't understand how to handle customer service. I was in one the aisles a few days ago when I heard the sound of a glass breaking and one of the workers screaming "HOLY SH*T!" First of all, I'm surprised you're allowed to curse while on the job. I turned the corner, and realized an old lady customer accidentally knocked over one of the spray bottles from the rack. The worker was so rude. He didn't even ask the lady if she was alright. He just let out a loud impatient sigh, stood there like a dumb person staring at the mess on the floor. He could go get a broom, but noo, he waited for his co-worker to do it. And then he handed the price tag bar code to the lady without saying a word. Why is he the one upset when she's the one that has to pay for the bottle she broke? He's on duty, so shouldn't he be a little bit nicer? You're getting paid for a reason. Employers don't want to pay their workers to give a stink face to their customers. I think in this situation it would've been nice of him to say something like: "Are you okay?" "I'm sorry but you need to pay for the bottle." "Don't worry about the mess. I will take care of it." "Please be careful." This was the worst worker I've seen. On top of that, their card machine wasn't working, so I had to walk myself over to Chase to withdraw some cash. While I was gone, my husband told me "I don't know what is wrong with the workers today, but the cashier that was bagging my stuff dropped the cup, and she had to go to grab another one." During a different visit, I went around the store looking for a mouse pad, and I couldn't find one, so I went up to the register to ask one female employee what aisle would it be in. She straight out told me "I don't think we sell them here." 5 seconds later, my husband finds me and said he found them on one of the end caps. She didn't even seem like she wanted to be there. So excited to hear this store was opening & I didn't have drive all the way through Monterey Park to get to it. Disappointed is what I am. I expected the store to be crowded being opening weekend so the people and limited parking did not detour me. The minute I opened the door, extreme heat hit me. I understand that the air conditioner broke and that was beyond the owners control but really? No fans, no open door & at least 150 people inside. The aisles were waaay smaller than the Atlantic Square store and no, i dont mean the "Atlantic times square" on Hellman. There were so many people in the tiny aisles that people were pushing past eachother being extra rude because it was so hot. I was looking for a particular item and honestly couldn't get through some of the aisles so I found someone that worked there. The girl that worked there, short Asian girl, red shirt, slightly chubby with bugs bunny teeth was too busy talking to her friend gossiping about some other girl that did work there. I said excuse me and the girls kept talking about the other employee. I said excuse me again and she looked at me annoyed but finally I had her attention. I wanted to find some black gloves like the ones I bought at the other location. Instead of trying to help me she said "oh do you mean driving gloves?" Again, annoyed. When I said I wasn't sure she just pointed and said they are either in the front or on the aisle over there. She then turned around and kept gossiping with her friend, I then left. No thank you. Daiso is stocked full of useful gadgets to improve your life. I never leave empty handed. In regards to other reviewers, complaining about no returns for this $1.50 (to $7) store is insane. Customers who try to return everything they buy is what makes me hate my own country from time to time. Everything in this store is extremely basic and straight forward. If you feel the need to return something, that means you made a personal decision mistake and should accept the blame for it. Also, shame on people who come 5 minutes before closing and think they should be allowed inside. Of course they need a few minutes to finish closing up the lines. read more
