Went inside and spent about an hour shopping and every song playing inside the store kept mentioning sex, drugs, getting wasted, suicide, and a whole lot of curse words. Yeah, that's no exaggeration. I spoke to an employee about it and she said her coworker was in charge of the music. What are you promoting here? I hope your management deals with whoever is responsible for the poor choice in music. Customers shouldn't have to walk into a store that sets a negative tone. There are parents that walk in with children. They don't need to hear songs that talk about getting "high" and "wasted" or songs talking about doing sexually explicit things even if the beat is catchy. How cute and adorable is this place?! I used to work a store away from Daiso so whenever I'm on break I just can't help but go inside and take a look at their stuff. I always tell myself I'll just look, but afterwards I end up coming out with a bag full of stuff. They seem to have EVERYTHING from notebooks, kitchen utensils, accessories that are Japanese made. You name it & I bet you they have it. Prices are so cheap (most of the stuff is about $1.50) which makes it so much better, but don't expect too much about the quality though. But who cares! It's cheap! If it breaks, just buy another one. It's kind of entertaining just walking around the store cause I swear they have the most random stuff. The staff is really friendly and I honestly don't know how they keep the items all organized and in place since they have so much stuff. I mean, how do you know where to find things? Everything's in Japanese & sometimes I look at an item & I don't even know what the heck it is or what its for. Daiso's probably one of my favorite stores to go to when I have an art project or I need to fix something in my room cause I don't wanna go to Walmart or Target to buy something little that's worth $10 and I'll only be needing it once. Love the items in the store; hate the customer service. Maybe I was just unlucky, but the lady that was working the day I came to look for a new umbrella was extremely rude. How would I know which umbrella to buy if I don't open them. It's not like it'll break them if I open them and it's not like I don't put them back in their proper container. Such a bad attitude towards the customer saying like, "I've seen you open multiple umbrellas already". She just ruined my day. The store and the products are well enough for what they are, but the service there was horrible. The attendants were loud, obnoxious, and never once asked to help me. They made unseemly comments about my dress and even joked about my purpose in the store. I hope the owners takes action to instruct their employees in proper costumer handling or perhaps just help those two girls reign in their coarseness. read more

Their starting price is $1.50 other than the marked down clearance sales. From then on prices can rise up depending on how expensive the item really is. But don't worry this store isn't like those "Wanna-Be-Dollar Stores" that calls their store "Dollar Store" but you can't even find anything that's really a dollar except for thiings you would never really buy. This place is a great place to go to especially if you are very girly or if you have kids. It definitely beats going to Sanrio! Everything is so cute and cheap! Holy cow. Talk about fantastic $1.50 shopping!!! No joke, everything in here is CHEAP, and they sell everything! From super cute plates & bowls ($1.50), pens, pencils, snacks, laundry baskets, kitchen items, toys, just about everything, that is super cheap, and super cute. One of my favorite daiso's to go to because it's at a mall so very convenient to go to. I believe if your purchase is under $5 you can only pay with cash. The employees here are more of the follow you around type which makes you feel like they don't trust people not to steal but I don't blame them. I love that they sell just about everything you need from school and office supplies, snacks, cleaning supplies, cosmetics etc. but all for a very cheap price. Most products are a $1.50 and highest is about $10.00 for a custom Daiso shirt I believe. read more

This Daiso is located in Eastridge Mall. It's a pretty good size for it being in the mall. I have been Daiso's where they are a whole store alone by itself. If you are looking for cheap little cute things and snacks, this is a good place to go. I went here to find Kindergarten graduation gifts so I ended up buying a bunch of notebooks, pencils and erasers for 21 students and it came out to $60. I also got gift bags for them too. So I don't think it's bad at all. Now the quality of things they sell are not so great so you can't expect durable and high quality items but if you need these things just to get them and you don't care about the quality then this place is okay. It is pretty messy but I'm sure it's hard to keep a store like this clean since people probably dig through stuff all the time. There is a $5 minimum to use your card so keep that in mind. read more

This store is one of the best things to ever pop up into my life. I'm so serious. I hated dollar stores before because their items looked so..so..cheap and dull. But not Daiso, nope. Their stuff is not only great quality and cheap. It's cute and looks sooo much better than the usual dollar store fare. Why do the Japanese always have the good stuff? I'm just glad they decided to share with us. From home deco to school supplies, a person could basically save a fortune buying things they need from this store. This store is awesome! Each time I come here, I have to leave with something. Like what most of the reviews say, they have great stationary, gifts, and knicknacks. I rarely go to Eastridge simply because I don't like the mall as much as Valley Fair. However, I do come here for the AMC and because of Daiso. It's hard to resist coming here because everything there is a bargain. Unfortunately I need to cut down on my visits because I'm trying to set my finances straight for some big things. I love random things, like knick-knacks of all kinds, and browsing all sorts of items getting ideas for the next creative project..which is why I love this store. I only visit this location because its closest to my work- and trust me when i say that I LOVE DAISO and all the things- unfortunately their restock game needs to get stepped up. I notice the shelves are usually bare and i cant find much since its not put out! I end up having to visit the great mall location or santa clara because doesnt have much for my shopping list. I was contemplating on which place I should write my 400th review. What better way than to write one on a store full of Knick Knacks. After all the food we ate for lunch, we decided to stroll around the Mall. We actually ran into this small unique store full of Knick Knacks. A lot of the items were advertised as $1.50 or less. Think of Dollar store, with more variety and things you use on a daily basis. Some examples are Mittens for kids, Clothes lines for hanging clothes, and of course Japanese Candy and Snacks. Mostly House hold items caught my eye but everything they offer was diverse. I bought 2 boxes of Pokie snacks for $3.00. My Bro in law was a little frustrated because he bought a lot of items and the Sales gal was trying to cram everything in a single paper bag. Upon realizing the bag was tearing, she did offer another bag. She was the only visible girl working and she had a long line. Everything was fine after she offered the 2nd bag. I did notice they take Credit cards and I will be back to browse when I have more time. read more

The store is pretty small, but I bought a lot of kitchen tools, bathroom, office supplies, and laundry stuff here. You can find something for every room in the house. Most of their stuff are $1.50 unless it's labeled otherwise. It's cheap so the quality is not great, but good enough to throw out when it gets old. I do miss the Daiso in Japan though! read more

This is like a Dollar Tree but full of more japanese oriented items. Everything in here is less than $3. There are so many fun items in here that you would not find anywhere else. This store definitely deserves a walk through to browse through all the items that they have. They have a little over everything from under garments, pottery, storage, cooking utensils, snacks, and cosmetics. read more
