First off, I want to state that some bad reviews here about this Dollar Tree are just in regards to this store having no public restrooms. There is no law that state stores are required to have public restrooms. However, restaurants are required to have them. When I go shopping, if I had to go, I would go before hand at home or somewhere else before shopping! I have been to some Dollar Tree stores that actually have public restrooms and they are so gross! - Graffiti, dirt, human waste, plugged up toilets - etc- get the idea?!? But all the more reason why there are stores that choose to not make their restrooms public. Read about one experience here on yelp at another Dollar Tree. GEEZE SERIOUSLY PEOPLE! Anyhow, I like to always look at the seasonal merchandise, themed socks, hair bands and barrettes, stationary, books and basic kitchen supplies at this store as for other Dollar Tree stores. It is a great place for items at bargain prices. Prices have gone up from $1 to $1.25 - $1.50 on most items (blame this on Trump's tariffs) but still are great deals. Dollar Tree has become my store of choice for most items that I shop for. The reason why I give 3 out of 5 stars is because I purchased two t-shirts there last Tuesday. Both t-shirts were sealed in plastic bags that I could not open before purchase. However, both had the size listed on the plastic. On the plastic, the brand said Brisco on both. One of the tees was exactly what it was supposed to be- same brand and as stated on the collar- 2x women. Great deal for $1.50! However the other one although marked 2x, was a Delta brand tee and the shirt was more like a medium in size! Now, as the shirts were only $1.50 each, it is not worth it for me to go back for a return or exchange. Buying items sealed at any store is always a gamble and I am disappointed. However, I now know that if I buy any more sealed items at Dollar Tree, I will ask the clerks to unseal the bags before purchasing and if they will not, do not buy. This is especially the case with stores like Dollar Tree where items like tees would likely be seconds and that is why the store ends up selling them. My local Dollar Tree! I come in all the time for my staple items like gift bags, cards, batteries, cooking stuff. Its in a strip mall with Starbucks, Taco Bell, McDonald's plus a few other restaurants & smoothie place. There is a gym here too, so i usually park further out and walk to the different shops. read more

I live near dollar tree. And dollar tree deserves its name because the things in there are pretty cheap. The only bad thing about the stuff-oh,as they always say,"things are too good to be true." Well,take dollar tree as an example! I bought a plastic pot for like,cheap money. But it's also cheap quality. I didn't use the plastic pot for gardening. I used it to contain water to water my plants. But I just used it like, THREE times! Just three,I swear! And the plastic pot? Oh,it cracked two big cracks. Now it can't even be used for containing stuff! The service is great,though. I read some of other peoples reviews and saw that they had the same experience. I go to dollar tree every time,but one time I was at dollar tree and the cashier was a rude lady. She shoved my things and asked some questions in a low grumpy tone. I hope no one ever encounters such rude treatment. But I also suggest not to buy plastic pots. read more

I went to this dollar tree and after looking for some stuff I had to go bathroom really bad and I asked an employee if I could use the restroom and she said it's not working. Later on as I walked around I heard someone in the bathroom so I decided to wait next to it. A guy walks out and I said l "can you hold the door?" He said no. The bathroom is for employees only. There was no sign that said the bathroom was for employees only. I am a handycap woman on a cane and/or on a wheel chair with other health issues. I started to hold my pee in and I felt that i couldn't anymore. I was trying to look for a manager and couldn't find her/him. I gave my cart to my husband to pay for my stuff and I walked out to get j to my car and find a bathroom. At this moment I was feeling g light headed and my blood pressure going so high. I thought I was going to faint. This dollar tree lied about the bathroom being broken. Very unfair for anyone that needs to go. Like elder people, pregnant woman, children. Or handy cal people like myself won't other health issues. I should let myself go and had them clean the mess to open awareness to them. This was very unfair for me. I came here recently to get some word search books for my mom. They had exactly what I wanted at an affordable price. Yes the stuff is cheap but you should know that before even walking in the door. Every time i go to the dollar tree for a specific item I'm able to get what I need for an affordable price. Are the items high quality? No. But you get what you pay for and you honestly can't expect much when shopping at a dollar store. Customer service: despite the store being full of inexpensive items, the customer service is always good. Cleanliness: the store could be cleaner and better organized but once again its a dollar store. Cashier: The lines are long and I feel like they are always short staffed but the cashiers are always friendly. I'll be back next time I'm looking for a inexpensive item. read more

WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD please do not come here !! the afternoon manger christine is terrible, and has horrible customer service. i had ordered some jars and opted for in store pick up, this "so called" manger (the first time) said that it was not there *mind you we waited close to 20 min for her to even come out of her office* she went to the back and came back with no package. she was rude and dismissive telling me to "call" and when i asked for a number she rudely said "the one on the website" and so I did, it was escalated. I recently got another email saying that the manger confirmed my package was indeed at the store and was ready for pick up: so again i drive to the dollar tree. the clerk calls for a manger over the loud speaker and she didn't come out until the clerk noticed that I was waiting a while and physically KNOCK on her door for her to come out. AGAIN christine, the "manger" approaches me, i show her the email, tell her that i called like she told me to and this time NOT even looking for the package she was again telling me to call someone else w/o a number again *she had the audacity to make it seems like i was the one wasting her time* i call customer service AGAIN tell them the situation and they nice lady over the phone called the store THREE times while i was on hold and surprise surprise NO ANSWER. The customer service people over the phone were even apologizing for the situation. whatever you do please avoid this dollar tree if you can. Plenty of parking spots outside the store. Affordable prices. Especially nice gift box and all kinds of decoration stuff. However, this branch is quite messy. Maybe the staff does not care to clean up or lots of bad customer who are not considerate enough and create more messy, could be both, I guess. It's right next to the gym I often go, so kind of convenient to stop by when I need something in the store. Definitely revisit from time to time. read more

Dollar trees can get super busy and just one register is usually open most of the time. Rarely--2 ~Covid protocols~ * Staff wearing mask/mask required * Plexiglass * Social distancing enforced I've never had a problem with this dollar tree location in terms of stock, many items are usually fully stocked when I'm here. The range of items from dollar tree has definitely expanded compared to what they would have 10 years ago. They have disposable face masks and reusuable face masks, lots of feminine items like pads from multiple brands, home utilities, electronics, and many more which is great for those who are on a budget. However, this store is pretty small so I usually prefer going to the Monterey location where we have more room to social distance. Service is alright, employees can be mean and rude sometimes but I just usually grab my things and go because it's not worth getting stressed over. read more

I come in to this dollar tree at least 2-3 days out of the week after I work out next door. Everytime I come in this location there is a Latino lady with tattoos on her neck and arms. Arm tat has love on it. She is a cashier and it never fells, she is always on her phn while ringing up customers. She has her ear buds in & so into her convo she could careless about the customers. Today she rang me up and was fussing with who ever on the phone saying you know the payment is due today and carried on a full conversation. She looked up at me and touch the bag basically that was her way of asking me if I wanted a bag. She did the same thing to the lady before me. I think it's ridiculous, unprofessional. Seems she has more personal issues going on on in her life that are preventing her from doing her job and providing excellent customer service. This needs to be addressed. It's rude. There was another heavy set woman there stocking shelves and a Spanish guy behind another counter but that line wasn't open. I don't know who the manager is, but you guys need to get it together. The next time I go in there, if she is on her phone again and helping me I am going to say something. So you guys better do something about this situation asap. read more

I love coming to the Dollar Tree, especially this location because I can almost always find what I need here. The shelves are always stocked and the store is clean. Checkout sometimes takes a while because they are understaffed but I'm never in a rush so it is no big deal. I've found so many useful household items like storage containers, contact paper, birthday decor and many more items. read more

Zero Stars!! I was at the Dollar Tree store at 3251 S. White rd San Jose CA. I approached an employee her name was Emily and asked if they had empty spray bottles. She pointed to bottles filled with liquid. I said yes I need that type of bottle but an empty one. She told me in the middle aisle. I said 'thank you' and walked away. As I turned the corner I heard her saying to her coworker "if you want empty spray bottles just say so fuckin bitch, speak properly dont speak camel language". I told her I heard everything she said and she replied "I wasn't talking to you was I?". I said no but you were talking about me in a derogatory way and I don't appreciate it. I was speaking English and probably speak better English than you do." She just kept insisting that she wasn't talking to me,. I asked her what her name was and she told me Lisa. I went to the front of the store and asked for the manager. Bianca (Manager) came out and the first thing I did was point to 'Lisa' and asked the manager what her name was. Bianca responded her name was Emily. I told her what happened and she didn't have any response. I asked her to please speak to her employees about using racist derogatory remarks about customers and I left the store. The employee at the front register, Savita heard everything and told me so sorry about that, but neither the manager or Emily apologized for this unprovoked and abhorrent behavior. I am so upset about this incident. I really don't expect much from retail employees these days but I also don't expect to be subjected to their bigoted, racist remarks. Furthermore, I was born and raised in England my primary language is English, but because of the color of my skin I was seen as inferior. I can't image if I had an accent or English was my second language how I would have been perceived. Please give your employees Diversity, equity and inclusion training and put repercussions in place if employees are non-compliant. It seems Dollar Tree needs to ensure parameters are in place such that employees don't bring their unconscious biases into the workplace. read more

My post is only for this location on Aborn. I love Dollar Tree. Ken the cashier has absolutely NO business being in customer service. He doesn't have a clue that it involves being a decent human being and showing courtesy to customers. Completely unprovoked he was about as rude as I have ever seen someone be. The store was very messy too and the first thing that struck me as I walked in the door is how terrible it smelled. First and last time going to this location. From reading other reviews here, it seems to me, the major problem is the staff. The owner or some higher up should really take note of this. read more

Me and my mom came to this Dollar Tree and it was almosr 10. We arrived at around 9:55 and they had the door shut. We came to only get one thing and the lady kept saying no. It's awful. A pretty nice Dollar Tree very close to home. I actually worked here at this location (as a Hallmark merchandiser). They have a nice amount of items and everyday things that you can find useful. Especially during the holidays, they have quite a collection. And why not take advantage of buying Hallmark cards here as well! And if you are hungry, there's Taco Bell just across the parking lot. I visit this location a few times a month, mostly for holiday decor and a few kitchen essentials I may need. One of my pet peeves is trying to navigate the aisles while employees are stocking shelves -- there's no acknowledgement of customers as we try to shop -- they're usually too consumed in their personal conversations to make any attempt to give us space to get by. My last visit was on a Sunday at opening, and the whole store became aware of the fact that the first customer to check out was livid because the cashier had NO CASH -- the reason being (per the manager who stepped in) that they have to wait for customers to give them cash throughout the morning!?!? Yeah, that makes sense..... I don't remember the last time I was there with more than one cashier and a line that wasn't 10+ deep. While I was checking out, the cashier yelled at a guy who was walking out the door with a basket full of unpaid items. Needless to say, he kept right on walking. The Dollar Tree is a great business concept, but without the right quality and quantity of staff, it's one of those places that makes you question whether or not the savings are really worth the drama. read more

I will give zero review if I could. The manager at this store was very rude. I asked if I can use the bathroom, she said no bathroom with an attitude attached to her voice so I answered her back with the same tone of voice, she responded she's by herself and cannot open the bathroom, I understand but when is saw the other employee who's inside the store she lied to my face saying he's on break but all of a sudden start ringing up costumers. I always waste my time going there getting the balloons just so they can tell me they are out of helium. I came today a worker tells me to grab the balloon I want then pay for it, then they will fill it up with helium. The employees here are very rude. They need new management. There was only 1 register opened and the line was very long. So they opened another cashier register and moved half the line over to the new register. I was the other half that was left in the old register and by the time it was almost my turn the cashier switch her light off and didn't ring up anyone else that has been waiting in that line. Seriously? As a courtesy you're suppose to finish ringing up who was still in that line and let people who line up after know that you're close. I got my shit is 5 minutes and went it reached that 5 minute mark all of a sudden "we are closing soon please bring your stuff in the cashier" the fuck how are you going expect the customers to pay up when it's not even 9? The cashier was fucking rude. I asked her why do you guys close when it's 5 minutes to 9? She ignored me because I guess she cannot understand my question. There was a man that wanted to get something when it was 5 minutes before closing and they didn't let him in. I don't really like going here just because the staffs would always have a grouchy look on their face unless you smile and start communicating with them. Most likely there would only be one cashier per day and it's annoying standing in a long line. We were desperate to get very little supplies to make cookies it was about 8:50 pm. We saw that the door was open so we assumed it was open. Once we got to the door a lady around her late 20's maybe early 30's walked out said "we're closed guys" with a pretty rude attitude. We hadn't even gotten on the sidewalk yet and she slammed the door shut. I didn't catch her name and barely catched her face. We weren't mad that it was closed (even though it wasn't 9:00 yet) we were just mad that she was rude. So we just went to the store next door. I think people like Erica need to get the whole facts straight I was there shopping and heard the whole thing and saw that man taking pictures of there young cashier and made her very uncomfortable and he was talking pretty good english to the cashier harassing her about her body, she was trying to explained to him he couldnt come in to store with out a mask but you can tell she was uncomfortably about him taking her picture and the Manager talk to cashier then the guy was still standing out side and manager expkained to him on the mask must be worn and when he started to speak spanish Manager told him to speak english like he was earlier to her cashier and all of a sudden he couldnt understand I think all this was crap this guy trying to get away with some disrespectful crap and trying to throw a good person under the bus when all she was doing was protecting her staff . read more

Super clean, well stocked, great seasonal items. Peak times lead to long lines but that is ANY DT in any location. The quarter for a shopping cart concept is used often in east coast stores. Keeps the carts from being left in the parking lot or stolen altogether. Keep a quarter in your car and you will be just fine. Helium has been unavailable for months for balloons but that's also been the same at Party City so it's not a DT isolated issue. Staff is hit or miss but be friendly and they will be friendly back 9/10 times. read more

I was hoping for something more exciting than Dollar Tree to replace the old Save Mart at this location. The store just opened and everything looks new and fresh. Items are well organized and displayed. You can always find something at Dollar Tree, so it's a fun store to browse around from time to time. Staff was polite and courteous.
