I'm an Old Crab so was attracted to the lobster toys.

When I was a puppy, the dollar stores if the day were called Dime Stores. F.W. Woolworth's, Sprouse-Reitz, Ben Franklin, Kress and smaller players were on scene for a kid like me facing holidays and birthdays with $2.50 of pop bottle deposits, Newspaper route profits, or door to door sales. Daiso's vast selection took me back to those days. This is a l9w- priced China and Japn goods variety store. I cut my consumer teeth in Woolworth's. These days a galaxy.of inexpensive goods of every sort simply spins my brain. A family memberdivers themselves and exercises shopping. My dog needed a bell to wwarn cats and birds he's coming down the walk. My relative found a perfect, small. loud cat-warning bell here. They also bought a cute, loud lucky cat bell on a keyring. So cute it would never go on my dog. Then they found a perfect jar and can spatula/spreader taktaking slight space in the knife drawer, perfectly designed to clean and serve from cylinder containers of every size. So yes, interesting place FULL of what we never knew we needed, priced well.

OMG OMG!! Finally there is a Daiso right in my neighborhood! Crazy how I just happen to see it when I was shopping at the Ross in the same shopping plaza. If you love anything kawaii, then you will fall in love with literally everything in this store. I was impressed with the wide selection of stuff they had from stationary, bathroom, and snacks! Very spacious, clean, and organized. When paying there have a designated self checkout stations alongside one of their walls (could be easily hard to miss). You can also go to the clerks which have 2 stations. The cost for a paper shopping bag is .20 cents. I highly suggest bringing a bag with you for shopping for more items. Overall great experience and thrilled to live so close to the new Daiso! Will be back soon for sure!

Funny key chains and all kinds of knickknacks.

So cool!!! Just a crazy variety of super cheap items that are incredibly useful. I bought a handful of camping essentials, and some yummy snacks, but walking through the store, I can see why these places are so popular.

Fun drinks (as well as snacks)

Did I JUST SO HAPPEN to walk into this new Daiso location on the first day of their soft opening? I'd Sai-so! :) Having lived in LA and visited Daiso shops in Japan, I'm overly familiar w/ the brand and love pouring through the aisles to see what silly things I don't need (but also "need"). The confusing part of the shop is the pricing - it's kind of like a dollar store, except the dollar was based on the Japanese yen...and the cheapest USD equivalent you'll find is items for $1.75. I've included a pricing sheet. Basically, a minority of items will have a price on them -- in yen -- which you can then compare to the price sheet hanging all over the store to see what it is in USD. If you do NOT see a price in yen on the item (or, in a few cases, a sticker w/ the price in USD), it will cost $1.75. Bags cost $.20, so bring your own bags (or carry a large enough purse to collect all your purchases). All in all, a solid choice. REMEMBER --- NO RETURNS or EXCHANGES FOR ANY REASON
