OMG...LOVE this place! I have been meaning to stop in here for over a year now. I had some time to kill and did! I wish I had more time to browse around....This is like 99 cent store or dollar tree only Asian. It is so cute! I bought some of the best mascara I have ever had! i found out through a friend that daiso opened up here in the valley, so i was super excited to come & check them out! PROS: -nearby NFC (northridge fashion ctr) & pacific theaters; located inside the plaza, near DSW shoes -they sell pretty much everything for cheap; it's like a asian wal-mart lol... everything's pretty much $1.50, except for some selected items -they have english translation on what some of the items are -they accept cash, credit, & debit forms of payment (however, for credit, the minimum's $10) -they allow you to take small baskets back to your car if you don't wna purchase their bags & you can just bring them back CONS: -overcrowed w/ teeny boopers & rude old ppl -cashiers & workers seem miserable -they have a "you break, you buy!" policy -all sales are final; no returns or exchanges -most items aren't of high quality & most items are in japanese -they don't have much of a good variety of snacks/drinks -no bags @ check out, unless you purchase one from them OVERALL REVIEW: granted, everything sold here are super cheap, but like i said, most items aren't of high quality. nothing special here really, but i'd come back. i prefer mitsuwa marketplace over daiso. read more

Because of its size, this Daiso doesn't have a wide selection of products. I was disappointed to discover that most of the Daiso products I wanted to buy weren't available in this store. The organization is a little messy, too. I like how the snacks here are super inexpensive. Usually, Pocky runs for more than $3 in my local Asian supermarket, but it was $1.50 here! C: I was still able to find things that I wanted to purchase, so my overall experience wasn't too bad. Bring your own shopping bags, though! And don't run around the store or be stupid because the aisles are extremely narrow and there are many cups/bowls on the outside shelves that can easily break if shoved. ^__^ read more

I think daiso is an awesome place to look for presents if you're on a budget. Daiso is a place where you can get some trinkets that are super cheap. I really like a lot of the things they sell(I'm a college student who loves decoration). Daiso also has some things that are useful in dorms such as their seat cushions or kitchen mats(super cheap too). I think daiso is a great store, the employees are also super attentive, and it's just super clean. There's no reason to give daiso any less than 5 stars read more

I love this store. I went when it first opened and like four times since then. The store was crowded but the checkout was smooth and easy. The employees are so nice and happy all the time. I go mostly for office supplies and stationary I also love their Japanese snacks. I just wish it was a bigger store. The aisles are small so they get crowded easily but that's what I will deal with since I love going. read more

They have a lot of quirky finds in this store. I've only ever been to the Daiso in San Francisco, so having one here in the Valley is a great thing! Just be careful... it's an addiction like Ikea - you end up with things in your basket that you don't really need, but will find a need for it. read more

Bigger store versus the other locations I've been to in the LA area. Much more organized. However, the shoppers here can be a tad "interesting" to say the least. Daiso is a great store that carries many different items that are primarily from Japan or are Asian influenced. Daiso is pretty much like the Japanese version of Dollar tree. You will find a lot of different kinds on inexpensive items that are good for things such as stocking stuffers, party favors, etc. They carry grocery food stuff, school supplies, makeup, the list goes on and on. Now everything here is not a dollar I just compared it to Dollar tree type of store. read more

I'm so happy this daiso exists in the valley~ T u T the store is clean and very pink inside, and they carry all the essentials, to super obscure japanese items- like: house slippers, cute seasonal items, adorable dinnerware, silverware, cups, plates, bowls, cleaning supplies, stationary, socks and accessories, specialty japanese items, kitchen tools, adorable bento items, beauty items, storage boxes, snacks, toys and gag gifts- everything a 99 cents store would have EXCEPT cuter and japanese, and thus a zillion times better- all for $1.50 (or denominations of 1.50 for bigger items). for a lot of the stuff, the value seems really incredible- just the care and the design of everything is much much higher quality than items in american dollar stores. for instance- they always carry super pretty origami paper- and that stuff found elsewhere easily goes for upwards 5-10 bucks for the same amount of paper. BEWARE though- there are signs everywhere in the store that state that the glassware and other dinnerware items "may contain lead which is a chemical known to cause birth defects and other reproductive harm"... HAHA that's not alarming at all- but i'm just going to assume that all asian plates and bowls have that stuff... lol come check this place out if you haven't already. all the workers seem very kind, helpful, and courteous too! if anything, stay away from the plates and bowls lol. it's ok. i still love you, daiso :3 read more

It's small and disappointing. But that's by far the only complaint I have. Daiso as a store itself is a great place to look for affordable things you can make arts and crafts with. I generally visit their other bigger stores that features a variety of goods that you wouldn't know you need until you're in the actual store itself. Generally at other Daiso's I would be looking for the tools section. I generally love looking at affordable tools that I could keep handy in my car or just around the house. This section was unfortunately limited to 1/5th of an aisle and was discerningly disappointing to me. However it doesn't strip the fact that this place still has the essential items that most Daisos provide. read more

I found Daiso while on a grocery trip from Superking. I didn't know what to expect, but I was definitely curious as I love stumbling upon little hole in the wall markets. I had no idea I would end up finding one of my favorite stores! It is a fairly small store, with the same pricing as the Dollar Tree, but higher quality and more variety of products. They have almost any household items you could think of on a whim, from tableware to make-up to storage containers to organizers to clothing and everything in between. The only issue is that every time I go in, I end up spending way more time than expected. While it has the pricing of the Dollar Tree, it is much more colorful and eclectic in its variety. I'm so glad to have found this place; I almost want to keep it to myself because I love it so much, but anyone curious deserves to know it is a great place to get a variety of fun (and cute) items for quite inexpensive pricing. read more

I think the worst thing about this place is that I don't need 90% of the things I end up buying here but I 100% never regret my useless purchases. I saw the "Coming Soon" signs for a while, and when I went over to Spirit Halloween I was happy to see it finally opened! It was pretty packed, but that's the weekend crowd I suppose. I have missed Daiso (they had them in Korea too). This one is about .50 more, but whatever. They have pretty quality items I can't find elsewhere, and even if I could find, say, a coaster at the usual 99-cent store, it wouldn't be as cute as the coaster I could get at Daiso. Seriously. They sell some Asian snacks too, which seems pretty convenient if you don't feel like trekking to the Galleria Market or passing through. I had to remove a star because of the SUPER NARROW aisles. I don't know if this floorplan is due to the desire to pack more items in a narrow space or maybe they forgot they were building this in Amurikka. The thought that it may be the latter kind of makes me sad...but I digress. Go here! Buy cutesy cards and trinkets! Don't break your wallet! Sam was super helpful!! Great customer service. I was looking for something for my mom but couldn't find it so I ended up settling for something else. When I reached the register I asked Sam if he knew if the store had something similar. And most people tell you what aisle it's on and ask you to go find it yourself. But Sam went out of his way to not only go find it for me but he also brought me multiple options! There was a bit of a line but he didn't rush me at all to pick. I was so glad when I found out a Daiso was opening up in the SFV. They have a great selection here. I find this one better than the Daiso in Koreatown because of the size and variety. This is probably the smallest Daiso i've been to in my entire life. I visited this location a couple days ago after work cause I needed some magnetic boxes to stick on my fridge. The parking was ok, i was able to find a spot right away, and it's located in a nice shopping area with a market and restaurants next door. Shelves were organized and it's pretty clean inside. Cashier's were nice and had a promotion going on that day. I bought a couple things, but not boxes I was looking for. The selection of items were pretty slim compared to other Daiso's i've been to, but understandably so, since not all Daiso's are the same. Since it's also a small store, some aisles felt really cramped and you couldn't really take your time in one particular section. All that being said, at Daiso, you could really find some amazing things and for super cheap. My friends who had never heard of Daiso before are now obsessed and visit a store at least once every two weeks. read more

Daiso Japan is my wife's favorite store. She visits this store weekly while I shop for groceries at Super King located in the same shopping center. The isles are packed with merchandise like school supplies, accessories, women cosmetics, office supplies, containers, etc. Everything costs $1.50 unless otherwise marked. I have ventured into the store a few times to buy plastic containers and glass jars with lids. I was always very satisfied with my purchases. The store is small compared to many other Daiso Japan stores, but it is kept tidy, organized, and very clean. The young staff are cordial and helpful. The parking lot is very small in relationship to the number of stores it houses. So parking could be difficult. However if you arrive early, as we always do, parking should not be an issue. Daiso Japan at Northridge deserves a solid four stars. read more

I am pleasantly surprised that a Daiso has opened up in SFV. The store is setup like all other Daisos. It provides items at an inexpensive price of $1.50 (unless otherwise marked). The items that are here range from bathroom, kitchen and closet supplies. The store space is clean and well-maintained. They take credit card and cash. There's plenty of parking spots, and this is located next to Super King Market and restaurants, so it's a good place to drop into while on a lunch break. It's also conveniently near the Northridge Mall. read more

This store is so cute and so fun! I find the best, cheap and fun little gadgets I would never find at the mall lol. There's everything from cute kitchen supplies to make up, to socks, to office supplies...pretty much all your necessities but cuter and cheaper :) A lot of PINK stuff! And mostly everything is about $1-$5 range which is awesome! You can never just buy one thing here. The only reason I give it a 4 instead of 5 is because they keep running out of snacks. I used to come here a lot and get a bunch of chips and desserts but they've been running out every time I come the past three times. Other than that, this place never lets me down. Even if you don't plan on spending, it's a fun place to walk around and find interesting things to play with :) read more

Absolutely love this place! The one in Koreatown is my fav, but this location is closer and I go to this one when I need my Daiso fix! I get all types of things here, baking molds to cook with and to use for my crafts! Plus their holiday decorations are the best, cheapest and cutest I've ever seen! I bought a bunch for halloween and I just bought some for Christmas! I love this place and if you love anything Japanese and .99 cent and Dollar Tree's you're gonna love this place! read more

Their merchandise is cheap and easy on the eyes, very bright and cute store but the quality is what you pay for. You can easily spend 30 bucks in there buying nothing that would last a reasonable amount of time, I gave it a one star for the effort of the brand to keep things cute and organized. The employees however have no retail training at all, I'm the quiet type so if I see something wrong I just walk out and I don't bother to have it resolved. I have watched and observed their behavior and interactions with the shoppers and I wish there was a negative scale so that I could give them minus five stars. I've been to the Daiso store in Irvine thanks to my sister, and always wished there was one closer to home in the Valley. So seeing that there was finally a branch opened in Northridge was a real find. Like the one in Irvine it's real clean and organized. Although we were lucky to be there when it wasn't as crowded on a holiday, I'd still venture to go there if there was something there that I needed. It's a real treasure trove of bargains that I was more than happy to introduce to another sister of mine, who is equally in love with the place, and now it's got my mom's attention after telling her that almost everything in the store is $1.50. Sure all sales are final, but I assure you, if this place provides you the stuff that you need-whether it's cleaning products or a small Japanese Snack (which again, SUPER CHEAP compared to most stores that sell them)- this is worth your time and buck. read more

What I don't appreciate is having the cashier yank the items out of my hand when it came time to ring everything up. This store is fantastic! I love it! The price is $1.50, unless marked. The highest amount I saw was $4 and those were backpacks. But for a backpack, $4 is a deal! I always like getting the rice candy there, that's only $1. The rice candy at the grocery store or other locations are alway hard! But the ones here are nice, soft, and chewy. It's always so clean and welcoming here too; I love coming here! I've applied for a job here and even had an interview, but sadly, I don't think I got the job. :( oh well. read more

Be careful using your debit card at this location. They must not have safe credit card readers because after using my debit at this store on a Sunday afternoon I had fraudulent charges in my checking account the following day! I was wiped clean of over $800 until my bank called me to inform of these suspicious charges from China! My debit card never leaves my wallet and I had not used it in over a week. Call me crazy but after using it at this store... this happened?!! Never again! be warned and don't go thru the stress and headache that I went thru right before a long holiday weekend.
