It a little Asian experience when you walk in. The selection of Asian candies and chips are impressive. It's like an Asian version of Five Below. Prices are a bit different. They have charts all down the different isle which explains how to read the prices. Covert it to dollars. Some things look like you could pick up at the dollar tree. While they do have loads of things. Homeware, gifts, food, snacks, decoration, supplies, toys and the list goes on. It's a fun little store to check out and browse. It's honestly a very random store but they have items in here you wouldn't think you'd find in here. Most of the store is $1.75 unless marked. I come in here for the Sanrio and Disney merch. Loved my visit to Daiso! It's like a Japanese Version of the dollar store. All items are $1.75 unless otherwise priced. I had so much fun walking up and down the aisles looking at all the cute items. I left with some Japanese drinks and some cute Disney pens. They had a lot of office supplies as well so I'm definitely going to go back and grab some of those. They have a lot of storage boxes, plushies, toys for kids, makeup, cleaning supplies, kitchen items, and more. The list goes on and on. I love coming to Daiso for stocking stuffers. It's a great place to find little knick nacks and little snacks to fill up goodie backs/stockings. It's also a place where you come in just for one thing and then end up leaving with 5+ items. Luckily nothing is very expensive so it's not like you're going to break the bank. Staff isn't the best. I'm not saying they're mean or anything, but I feel like beyond checkout, they're non-existent. And when you'r checking out, they're just there to get your items purchased and you out the door. The biggest downside to this location is the parking. It shares a lot with a grocery store where people can't properly park or return their carts properly. I always just save myself the frustration and park further back and walk in. You'll spend more time circling around trying to find a closer spot that isn't half filled with another car or 3+ carts than if you just go for a quick stroll from the back of the lot. read more

Great items, great prices. Service was lousy 12/3 at 1pm. I would understand if it was in the middle of a rush period but I was the only one in line. So no excuses for her. Conversation me "can you break 100.00" cashier "no" (even though I spent $40! Cashier "want a bag?" Me "no thank you I have two and you can put the small items in the bucket I just bought." cashier, then says nothing and walks away. Didn't bother to put the small items in the bucket or help me bag my things, she just walked away to talk with a coworker. Did they change their policy to bag your own stuff? read more

Came today to get some goodies for sushi plating. It was a bit crowded but everyone wore masks- there's plexiglass separating customers and staff. There's social distancing tape for the line to check out but otherwise, it was hard to socially distance from other customers in the store. Check out was a bit slow- 2 cashiers but also lots of customers to go through. They have hand sanitizer at checkout for you. Bags are 20c. No returns as sales are final. Everything for the most part is $1.50 except for the ones that have red price tags on them. Plenty of parking in the plaza. read more

Okay first timer going here and lemme say what a selection of stuff they have!!! Walking in they have shopping carts for your kiddos, going down each isle everything was well organized and clean! Selection wise they have lots to choose from, storage, beauty, tech, household items, school supplies, pets and of course snacks!! Most everything In the store is $1.75 unless other wise tagged and they have price breakdowns posted throughout the store so your not wondering. I went to the Woodland Hills Daiso store a few years ago and kept meaning to return....... but haven't....... until today at this location in Northridge. I love this store. Such a clean, well-organized, cute store with things you need, things you want, things you don't need, all made in Japan and exported here. Almost everything is $1.50, unless otherwise marked. I found some really cute things for $3.00 that will make great holiday gifts...... and for $3.00.... but they're really cute, and people will love them. At least I hope so..... I would love to receive one of these.... and now that I think about it, maybe I'll keep one for myself. I can't tell you what it is cuz my friends may read this review before Christmas rolls around this year. But I digress. You can't beat the prices, and they have soooooo much stuff, esp. for the kitchen. I love that section best..... and if you're into sushi, COME HERE for sushi-related tools, dishes, and things you need to serve sushi. I can't get enough of this place. I wish they hod a location in SCV. Similar to the 99 cents store but was better quality and everything is $1.50 unless it states otherwise. Overtime i enter any of their locations i feel like a little kid in a toy store. There are just so many things you can find from house where, to gardening supplies, to food. quick story....So, I was in this location earlier on the week. I was looking at a product, but didn't know what it was because the writing was in Japanese. It looked like a regular tissue box it had a person sitting on a toilet pictures on it. I asked one of the employees, i forgot his name, who was on a ladder putting merchandise away. This male employee was kind enough to go out of his way and ask someone at the back of the store to what this particular product was. He didn't have to do that but he did. and I am super thankful. **Thank you so much to that gentleman that helped me that day. I realllly like this place a lot. This is place where you can just buy stuff you don't need and just have a good old time. They have the most randomest things ever. On my most recent trip I totally bought those hand protectors so you don't get a tan. So like you wear it while your driving so you don't get a tan thought it was a hoot. Everything in this store is only $1.50 and they have everything you can imagine from fair, hair, school supplies, makeup, face, kitchen items, plastic plates, trays, a tonnn of stuff. The only con is that all sales are final, no refund or exchanges. So once you buy too bad so sad it's yours! Oh and the parking, the parking here in this shopping center is awful! Great attire, except this location. Second time that they charged me one more item than I actually purchased. First time I went back in & they asked me if I didn't "accidentally" leave an item in the car. This time I didn't even bother & decided to write a review instead. Cute little shop that's clean and organized. Parking here can be an issue with it being in a busy plaza. The store itself has unique little things. I, particularly, like their gift boxes and silicone heart & star shaped ice cube containers. It's a place you can shop for items that you didn't know you needed, like a $1.50 car freshener. Try their Japanese chocolates too. Yum. They've got a wide array of things from household cleaning products to cute socks. It's a store you can walk around in and know that you Can afford it. The people working here are always nice and friendly. If you're unsatisfied, there's a huge DSW shoe warehouse right next door but you'll break your dollar fifty budget if you go there. read more

A Japanese version of the Dollar Tree store. The great thing about shopping here is that everything is so neat and organized. The place has two negatives. This is the smallest Daiso with the least amount of selections of anything that I have ever been to. Its mostly kitchen gadgets and cheap plastic stuffs that you can find cheaper at the dollar store. Theres hardly any Japanese food, candies, chocolates and the chips they carry you can get at any Asian stores for less amount of money. I'm addicted to all the cute things they have for every part of the house...HOWEVER I have to write this review as a warning because it has already happened to me 2x. I've been shopping here for as long as I can remember and now that I have my own place and a NEW MOM I couldn't wait to go back. Well the last 2x I went I had my baby and a basket full of things. I estimated my bill to be high but I was still shocked at how high exactly it was when everything was rung up. The first time I just paid for everything without any doubts but I saw later on when I got home that I was rung up for 3 of the same thing when I only got 1 of it!! $1.50 isnt much. But $4.50 is a kids meal!! Now the 2nd time that I went recently, I did notice it when the girl kept ringing up the same item, but I couldn't say anything at the moment because my child was going wild in the line. I also thought that there was an error on the machine so I didnt say anything. BUT sure enough she rung it up 3x and it was a $2.50 item!!! I'm so furious..I will be calling them tomorrow to complain. Not cool to take advantage of a mom as her child is crying his eyes off. Be warned!! Oh - Fudgesickle. Back in Japan, Daiso was my place. Even if I didn't need anything, I would go there for the sake of browsing. Now that it's here, and locations are popping up all over the place in So Cal, this could be a problem. You never know you want/need something until you see it. And for the cheap ridiculous price of $1.25 per item, this place can get dangerous. It's not JUST a "dollar store", it has Japan imports, containers galore, and Japanese trends like socks, and Japanese odditites that will bring anyone to throw things in their cart. Okonomiyaki and Shu Mai microwave makers, cute cheap Japanese tableware and dinnerware, cheap electronic accessories... Too much goodness. This store is diffidently different. Its not a 99 cent store. However its a 1.50 store. All \imported from Japan. I found some items that I could you for outdoor camping.
