Beware of employee Sandra. The rudest interaction I've ever had in a retail store…read more Today, March 31st 2026, my husband and I went in to exchange a utensils storage container (unused, not even open! However, there was a tiny wooden part that came with the item or possibly one of the others since we bought 3!) anyway, the employee checking us out had asked another employee about our product (maybe she thought it was broken) and Sandra came up and refusing our return, then started to raise her voice, accusing us of breaking our UNOPENED item. Both my husband and I asked for her to show us where it was broken and she refused to open it.. if it's broken, why not open it? Oh that's right, because it was brand new. She said "this is her store and she knows her products" yeahhhh right!!! She also proceeded to tell us to take our item back to Canoga and return it there as she won't accept it And walked away. Uh what?! Just WOW. I'm blown away that this woman is employed with such a BAD attitude. I shop at Marshall's a lot and I'm scared to go back to the store now. Might have to take my money elsewhere. Overall, a manager came up to the front and of course, accepted our return. I'm not done with this. You cannot treat people like this. I'm calling management tomorrow and corporate. Also, after reading some reviews, it doesn't seem like this is the first review discussing Sandra's interactions with people. She wears glasses and has short hair.

On January 31st, my mother walked into this Marshalls looking to buy some items for herself. When…read moreshe reached the cash register, she playfully greeted the cashier with "Hola!", to which the cashier quickly responded "Here it is not Hola, it is Hi". Now, I am not one to make a fuss over other people's ignorance, but that is so incredibly unacceptable, it makes perfect sense why interactions like this go viral in social media platforms. Unfortunately my mother does not remember this employees name, but she was approximately in her 50s, and also based on appearance, she looked like someone that could potentially speak Spanish. She was wearing glasses and had short hair. It is very unfortunate I wasn't there to witness this, because I would not have had to resort to a Yelp review to let management know the kind of customer service this store provides to its customers. I am however thankful that my mother was perfectly capable of putting her in her place, since she also speaks perfect English. But I digress. I hope this review reaches management and talks to this employee before they find themselves in far more trouble over a statement that is rather spicy considering the situation this country is facing at this point in time. We will never step foot in this store again. Adios!

Right away, they captured my attention because of their great, upbeat, lovely, helpful personalities. I told them I needed 2 things. A nice vase & a Frying Pan. They literally took me to both aisles and showed the things to me; and I instantly fell in love with both the frying pan and the vase. My vase that I had for at least 7 years, accidentally fell and broke into pieces. I do have 6 other ones, but that was my FAVORITE!! Store was in a very nice condition, easy to navigate and was clean!! Along the way as I was browsing, other things caught my eye. I ended up buying this unique shaped large bowl that you can put fruit, vegetables or whatever you need to use it for. I ended up buying few other things that I needed, wanted and liked. I got: 1 Room Spray, 2 blouses (for Spring/Summer) a candle, shoes, tap light. Comes in 3, 4 small, cute, practical bowls for everyday use, Spring Floral dishes ( comes in set of 4). Also got some cookies, candy, and one soda. I know that TJ Maxx is also affiliated with Home Goods & Marshalls. Prices varies from one thing to the next. They had good sale items and I will definitely go back if I happen to be in the area..

Employees took 10 minutes of my time to figure it out and came back with the wrong price for it. I told them it was 29.99 - and their response was - "why didn't you bring another pan like that with a price tag?" So here it is. I don't work at tj maxx. My job is to pick what I want - and pay for it. If you don't know how to do your job - don't ask me to do it. Stores are fighting online businesses - and part of the appeal is to help the customer. Next time I'm buying online. Sheessh.

They have a bulk item they sell from Sugar Paper, a luxury stationary company, that I was really surprised to see and definitely delighted to have come across. Because to me.... score! Oh and you'll see the brand Balmain in there too... If you do your own manicures and dye your own hair they have items for that. You'll see lots of neatly organized gel nail polishes and box dyes available. Very happy they offer inexpensive box hair dye! They carry everyday comfort items including good quality sleep masks. The employees at this store are also attentive and helpful. If you are gifted an item for being a customer accept the gift using your right hand.

But when I walked into Selectify it was filled with goodies, arranged so the front had the large furniture, which made the warehouse feel open and inviting. My friend and I set to task, looking for hidden treasure. Ok, I was SUPPOSE to be looking for a desk chair. Selectify had them, but I was more interested in the items I didn't know I needed! LOL Insight on me...I love a duvet cover. I'm not into shoes, clothes are just a necessity(...or are they...?) purses can be fun, but a DUVET COVER??? Well the right one can feel like luxury, comfort and an overall sense of security and well being. Don't know why, just does. So, I saw multiple bins of King & Queen duvets, but they were white, nothing exciting, so I moved on. Just as I was leaving - finding only a MUCH NEEDED pair of floor sweeping slippers, another duvet on display caught my eye. lovely grey with white embroidery. I asked Simon if there were more duvets like this and he happily took me to a large shelf of boxes. Some of the boxes had "comforters" listed, with a sample of each outside the box. He did have to move a few about, but then emerged ANOTHER beautiful duvet. 'Ok, Simon, how much?' '$12' was the reply. SOLD! My new duvet is in the wash as I type, and my slippers have already dusted the floor while Hub's eyes rolled. Am I content? No....I'm thinking about that other duvet and will be back to get it later this weekend. I may also have to grab a couple of beautiful garden pots, which retail $20-$80 elsewhere, at Selectify for $10 -$40. Simon let me know that stock changes daily. If you have something particular in mind, just ask, he knows the inventory and is happy to help. I have a feeling Selectify will be a regular spot for my treasure hunting from now on. Cheers! "CC"
