I especially enjoy taking time to systematically stroll through the aisles to unfailingly find useful "stuff." Most items are truly discounted, well below chain retailers. But a few (mostly brand name packaged foods) are priced well above. If you're knowledgeable, you'll be fine. The owner and the main worker/cashier know me and are always upbeat and helpful. They've even special ordered case-quantities of uncommon food items when I only found a few packages on the shelves. Best of all, the line is never long and moves fast. Is it a primary store/market? However, there was a tiny wooden part that came with the item or possibly one of the others since we bought 3!) anyway, the employee checking us out had asked another employee about our product (maybe she thought it was broken) and Sandra came up and refusing our return, then started to raise her voice, accusing us of breaking our UNOPENED item. Both my husband and I asked for her to show us where it was broken and she refused to open it.. if it's broken, why not open it? Oh that's right, because it was brand new. She said "this is her store and she knows her products" yeahhhh right!!! She also proceeded to tell us to take our item back to Canoga and return it there as she won't accept it And walked away. Uh what?! Just WOW. I'm blown away that this woman is employed with such a BAD attitude. I shop at Marshall's a lot and I'm scared to go back to the store now. Might have to take my money elsewhere. Overall, a manager came up to the front and of course, accepted our return. I'm not done with this. You cannot treat people like this. I'm calling management tomorrow and corporate. Unfortunately my mother does not remember this employees name, but she was approximately in her 50s, and also based on appearance, she looked like someone that could potentially speak Spanish. She was wearing glasses and had short hair. It is very unfortunate I wasn't there to witness this, because I would not have had to resort to a Yelp review to let management know the kind of customer service this store provides to its customers. I am however thankful that my mother was perfectly capable of putting her in her place, since she also speaks perfect English. But I digress. They have everything. They have seasonal decorations. They have tons of international foods. Teas, seasonings, coffee, snacks, etc. They also have art and craft supplies, dishes, make up, You name it! I ended up buying a few things. Check out was very pleasant. The cashier was super nice.
