Secondly, the selection of items is great! Not usual run of the mill stuff but lots of interesting and unique pieces. It's slightly more expensive than your local goodwill (I got a long sleeve shirt for 14 dollars for reference) and the selection of non clothing related items isn't as extensive as other similarly sized thrift stores. So if you're looking for sporting goods/furniture etc the selection isn't huge but if you're looking for cool clothing this is definitely the spot.

There was a lot o parking in the front, which I always appreciate. The lot is shared with a mechanic and a dispensary, I believe. Wide selection of men's and women's clothing, organized by color in some cases. The prices here also could not be beat - I've been to many thrift shops where things are priced at what you would think you would see at a Ross or TJ Maxx. Here, prices seemed more than fair - I could see shirts for as low as $3.99! I ended up getting a cardigan from LOFT for only $5.99 and my sister got a mug for only $2.99. The service was okay, the woman at the checkout counter wasn't overtly friendly, but it was fine. Not a super wide collection of books but I did see a number of DVDs and various household items (dishware, mugs, other random household items). We will definitely be back!

I met one of the vendors at the Rose Bowl swap meet after buying a Late Registration tour shirt and was lucky enough to get their instagram for this shop. (@playoffssfv) So with plans to try to do some trading I packed some of my tees i wished to swap in a bag and came in on a Thursday around opening. Upon entering I was greeted by 2 of the vendors and I had quickly explained that I had some clothes that I'd think the vendors would see to be great trades. After their selections of which tees of mine they were interested in, I was lucky enough to get offers for credit at their personal racks set up within the store. They both had great taste and a lot of selection to sort through. In the end, I traded 5 tees that no longer fit me for 3 new fresh and colorful hits to add to my rotation. I think they gave me fair credit for what I had brought in, considering my 3 picks from their racks were priced at a total of an $80 value had I not traded anything in. Overall the style of clothes for sale at the vintage mall that is Playoffs were grunge, modern/vintage street wear, sports teams, and a lot of other off the wall pieces. You won't have to dig for long to find something you like if you're into pop culture. I'd return to shop, and even eventually try to trade again with other vendors there.

Parking is in the back - the street is narrow and spots are limited, especially on Wednesdays because they have a good deal, 25% off from 8am-2pm. Store has plenty of rows of clothes, plus a separate kids' section. I found a nice Dooney and Burke purse for gifting, a new throw pillow cover, and some dress pants. Prices are great for most items, though I did see a few pieces priced over $100 plus because of the label. Paying in cash is better since they charge 4% fee for card payments. which my cashier didn't mention, I could have saved more. A good place for thrifting, just have the patience to check all of them.

They have suits, they have shirts, they have pants, they have dresses, plus they have tons of shoes. Some of the stuff you will find here is really not only on the scale of luxury, but truly unique. That's what I really like about this place, a lot of the stuff you can find here is really unique items, the kind you may not even know that you want until you see it. That's probably the greatest thing about going to the shop. In terms of parking, if you can, I suggest you park in front of this business, on the street. That's the easiest way to get in the front door. If you can't do that, you'll need to park in their back parking lot. From there, you'll need to walk a fair distance to get up to the front of the store, past all of their warehousing and donation centers where you will pass by and tons and tons of stuff that they've acquired and they're gonna put up for sale. I was browsing through some books who were piled up and as I was going through them I might have committed the horrendous crime of misplacing them (did I mention that section is the definition of chaos?). After I had moved to the CD section she comes over and starts yelling at me and complaining about how customers (species that are unknown to the store, as it was completely empty), misplace things and then she has to put them back (isn't that her job?). He says antique dealers come in and buy his stuff to sell for more elsewhere. I believe it. His prices are reasonable and negotiable, but he wasn't born yesterday. I found out what he pays for rent, and its a wonder he doesn't charge more. I bought a few things (including a fab $5 plastic bread box from the 50s or 60s) and was due a dollar change. He didn't have it. I told him to keep the dollar, but he insisted I scour the store for something else to get my money's worth. Once he saw my hesitance, he started to look around on my behalf as I walked toward the door. He offered a dusty card, an old frame, but my favorite was an iron meat grinder, that weighed around 20 pounds. It had the date melded onto its form: 1926. As charming as it was, I took an old CBS sign instead.
