They told me to replace the battery -- I did -- still didn't work. So they gave me $250 store credit written on the back of a business card. My girlfriend used some of it and $95 was left. I used that toward a Jermaine O'Neal Pacers jersey they had priced at $100. After the purchase they suddenly said the store credit "wasn't their handwriting" and that it needed a stamp -- even though the credit they originally gave us didn't have a stamp either. To top it off, the same jersey is selling on eBay for about $50 and the same watch that started this whole mess can be found for around $159 and actually works. I ended up returning the jersey and walking away. Just a reminder to always double-check prices and policies when buying vintage.

Didn't really see anything that met my fancy. Video game prices were iffy as well, even for a game like Dance Dance Revolution. Expect to pay like $15. I will say, the prices were pretty good for clothing ! Something I'd expect from a thrift store unlike a lot of them these days. So that was a plus! Top floor was absolutely horrible. Toys scattered everywhere with no sense of organization, even loosely. Kids were playing with them and throwing them around. That's more on the parents however so no blame on the thrift. The board games were nicely organized though lol Idk, don't think i'll come back personally but I liked checking out a new thrift.

The store is pretty organized as well, just wish they had dressing rooms but if you're a Veteran at thrifting, you know to wear tights and shirt so you can try the clothes on over your clothes. Music is always a hit there, too and I think its because of the sales people there. Maybe they go to CSUN (insert thinking emoji, lol). One thing that kind of annoys me though is how they place the price tags on their clothes, they staple them on. It hasn't damaged any of the items I bought but its quite tasking taking them off and most of their store is priced decently. Check them out if you're a thrifter, you wont be disappointed.

Large parking lot. I was donating items and learned, after going inside and tracking down an employee, receiving of donations is done "around the back." After driving around, we found the open bay, with a tent, but no employees. We unloaded the car, thinking someone would be out shortly, but all we heard was music from their radio. We didn't need a receipt, but it would have been frustrating if we did. I appreciate this organization and the span of their charitable works, but after driving to multiple thrift stores making donations, this locations seems very understaffed. My hopes were dashed…read morewhen another merchant told me, 'That's NOT Aaardvark's the Odd Ark that Aardvark's Vintage, using the old character to attract customers.' Boy, if that wasn't an understatement. In the 80s, my friends and I use to look forward to venturing from the safe, yet boring, Miller's Outpost in Simi Valley to the wild, other worldly Aaardvark's on Sherman Way in Canoga Park. The original, with locations throughout LA, closed permanently in 2019. It was an amazing curation of good vintage clothing and clothing from studio wardrobe houses. THIS store is a crazy collection of NEW "retro T-shirts" selling around $25-$32, used clothing, used almost anything else they could cram in here. PARENTS BEWARE: On the day I stopped by to check it out, OPEN BOXES of Playboy and Penthouse magazines were near the front door and easily accessible to underage hands and eyes. Maybe the nearby sled or stacked drum kit would elicit more attention, but maybe just move those behind the counter??? The name and disappointment aside, I still tried to keep a treasure hunter's open mind as I meandered through the piles of closely packed items. People shopping there sure seemed excited about the sparkling and studded Von Dutch jeans they found. This location is listed as Decorama Vintage in Yelp, but there's only one photo of a red sun dress against a bright white wall. Def not the same place. All this being said, if you find yourself on this stretch of Sherman Way in Canoga Park, and want to check out some interesting collections of used items and new "retro" t-shirts, pop in and enjoy. We were heading to San Diego when we needed gas and lunch!…read moreBefore going to Porto's Bakery, we decided to get gas first. Then we saw Savers thrift store! As we entered Savers, we were quickly greeted by the staff. The store was a nice sized one and very clean! Everything was very organized! They have clothing, household items, books, purses, bags, jewelry, shoes, and more. It all depends on the donations. The prices seem very steep to me. I guess I've never thrifted in Los Angeles before?!?! They are open seven days a week from 10 am to 8 pm. You can join their club and get points towards a discount. 100 points equals 1 reward. Each reward is a 20 percent off your next purchase. You'll have to read the fine prints. If you're 55 plus, shopping on Tuesdays is a perk! They say you can get 30 percent off. ( EXCLUDES new merchandise with the red tags on them ). I would ask the clerks about this before shopping and ask about their "restrictions may apply" policy! Overall, it was a nice tour of the store. Know your prices vs shopping secondhand prices. Employees were very helpful and friendly. Ample parking!

They had things wrapped in plastic bags hanging so you can tell exactly what's inside them.. The clothes were hung meticulously on the racks. As you can tell from my wording I am still in shock that there is such a store like this that contains all used stuff. The staff is very helpful. Very courteous. I put the best parts of this store first and now I will comment on something a bit negative. The prices. They are not traditional thrift store prices. Now, of course, I did not look at the prices of things that I was not interested in buying but every once in a while I would take a look at the price and be a bit surprised. I saw dresses for $15 and other things that you wouldn't think would cost more than a thrift store. The selection of the women's clothes was fairly good but I felt did not warrant paying more then a thrift store price. I understand that the overhead on this for-profit store must be exceedingly high. It is 20,000 ft.², (be sure to wear comfortable shoes!) The furniture and other larger items are priced exceedingly low. I saw a huge probably the biggest elliptical exercise machine for $15. I saw a very nice chair for $30. So there are some bargains and there are discount days where you get 20% off plus if you donate anything you get a percentage off for whatever you buy. Sorry for all the words but I really thought they deserved to have a thorough review. It's a fantastical experience. Your jaw will drop when you first walk in and see this spacious highly organized space. If you have never been to a store like this you need to go experience this. This is a 95% positive review and is definitely worth visiting!

As someone who grew up in the valley, my heart is filled with joy when I see a small business like this in operation. I will start by saying that you are lucky not to get injured by an item falling on your head when you try to pull another. The place is a mess and unparallel to any other thrift store in the area. The cherry on the pie is the woman's (owner?) attitude. I was browsing through some books who were piled up and as I was going through them I might have committed the horrendous crime of misplacing them (did I mention that section is the definition of chaos?). After I had moved to the CD section she comes over and starts yelling at me and complaining about how customers (species that are unknown to the store, as it was completely empty), misplace things and then she has to put them back (isn't that her job?). If after reading this review you still want to give this hellhole a chance do so at your own risk but leave an honest review (as the positive ones are obviously fake) about your experience.
