This is the best Dairy Queen. We have lived nearby for a few years and we frequently stop by here and grab a blizzard. This location always looks clean, they are fast, and they get your orders correct. I can't say much about the food but the ice cream is delicious. They normally have a different blizzard each month. They also have the mini size which is really a perfect amount. I am impressed with the service from the employees as well. read more

The food was not my cup of tea. But that's what I get for going there to get a burger and fries. Customer service was ok. Completely over priced $25 for two cheese burgers meals ridiculous. We don't go to DQ often, it's only when my kid crave for there blizzards or sundaes, we went to drive thru yesterday night, it was first time since Covid. The girl in the drive thru window was wearing mask and gloves but she takes cards swipes and gives us back then she gives the spoon holding the tip of it (the side which we put it in to our mouth ) and facing the handle of the spoon towards us, spoons are not covered or anything, nor she used hand sanitizer in between, we dint wanted to use that spoon so had to go back home and eat it. read more

I took my 8 yr old to this location last night get a blizzard on Friday, Feb 16th 2024 at 7:00 pm. She got an M and M blizzard. On the way home, while she was eating the blizzard, she said "there's a piece of plastic in here". She spit it out and handed it to me. It was a clear, sharp shard of plastic that was IN the blizzard. I'm so thankful she did not swallow it, as it is sharp and could cause lacerations in her esophagus, and probably would have ended up at the children's ER. A shard of plastic in a blizzard? When this Dairy Queen first open it was fantastic. But it's slowly failing. So I wanted to give them one more chance to win me back. I order my burger combo and they asked me to pull around to the parking lot. She said they would bring my order out to me. I said ok. There were other cars in the same area waiting for their orders. After a couple of minutes a woman came out and went to the other vehicles that were waiting. She eventually came to my vehicle and said, You have the burger right? I said yes but I got the combo. She said yeah its a combo. I asked which combo is it. I didn't want to get the wrong order this is why I asked. She rolled her eyes and said yeah its the combo you ordered. All with attitude. If you are going to make your customers pull out of the drive thru at least get a description of the vehicle or get a plate number. I'm done with Dairy Queen. Consistently EXCELLENT customer service from GM Savannah and her crew! I don't know how things are set up in the back of the restaurant, but I primarily go through the drive-thru, and, while I have had similarly unparalleled quality in customer service from the staff at the counter inside, I want to give a particular shout-out to the drive-thru employees who do just a phenomenal job! Without fail the premises are clean and orderly, the food is hot and fresh and delicious, the ice cream is EXACTLY the DQ standard that I have come to expect having lived in Texas my whole life, and the service is SUPER-prompt, but, most importantly, the service is SUPER-friendly! These guys practically treat you like family! They also have the best Diet Coke in town. Diet Coke addicts like myself will understand that not all Diet Coke is created equal, and whatever magic they're putting in it, I hope they keep it up! Everyone who works there has been super friendly and very helpful. I stopped in as they were opening and built my own salad. There seemed to be a translation problem however as I asked for just lettuce, cheese and tomatoes. When I opened the salad later it had carrots and cabbage as well. I picked out the cabbage and suffered through the carrots but only because they were soon drenched in ranch. That's the only reason they lost a star. This Dairqueen has some of the most hospitable staff in the TX area. My children and I frequent this location often and order from the "secret menu". When asking for special requests, the staff always attemps to accommodate the requests the best way possible. This is a little overdue. I'm a food delivery driver for 3 platforms and I just LOVE LOVE LOVE having to pick up from this location! Of course it doesn't hurt that it's a Mayfield property because I wouldn't expect less from any of their locations. My last visit a few evenings ago, Ronnie, the manager served me. So there you have it! A 5-Star review but if I could give 20 plus and more I would! It was such a pleasant visit, even though there were 2 cars in front of me when I arrived. Mayfield rocks!! Good food and very friendly staff. They are open when they say they are open, and my order has almost never been wrong. I can only remember once when I ordered a burger and asked for no tomatoes and the burger came with tomatoes on it. No big deal though. I've been to this location many times but I've never had an experience good enough nor bad enough to make me leave a review..until today. For me I ordered the belt buster combo with only cheese, mayo and mustard. For my partner a 4 pc strip with a plain taco add on with only meat and cheese and this entire meal was an epic fail. Initially the food was not as warm as we'd like but she got her order minus the taco and my burger came with every single ingredient on it. I called to notify them went back to get what I thought was the corrected order only to be given a bacon cheeseburger combo and a taco with everything on it..the burger I ordered comes with double meat but I was given a single on the "corrected" order. So both orders were incorrect. While I appreciate the effort and gesture of the free cone coupons I'd would have much rather preferred to be given what I ordered no more no less. Since I'm leaving a review whomever is able to make decisions please consider going back to the previous fries, the new thicker ones are disgusting. read more

Brand new location just minutes from my home. They've only been open a couple of days and the young teenage staff are stumbling over themselves. They sure are a friendly lot. I'll give them that. Dairy Queen will always be DQ. I hadn't been to a DQ in decades. I was rushing around doing errands and realized that it was gettin' on 3pm and I hadn't eaten anything since supper the previous night. I needed a quick fix, and, was not gonna hit Jack In The Box, which is only a block up the road. I only ordered the bacon cheese burger a la carte with a cup of water. Just over $5 for the burger. The cheeseburger was not as dreadful as I anticipated it would be. The patty was bland, but, not greasy. The bun was nicely toasted. The burger was dressed with chilled lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion. They diced the onion! I sort of expected that let down. I had to add more mustard because they barely put any on it. Overall it was a decent quick fix. Nice to have them close by. They are a much better alternative to The Box. Also they have ice cream!! I hope these guys keep up the same friendly service and don't neglect the cleanliness and quality of their food. read more

Hoorah for ice cream and steak fingers!! This area has needed another good fast stop to provide a quick bite to eat. Currently the place is new and the staff is doing their best to deal with the influx of happy customers. Came in with kids for a quick bite and see how the place looked. Kids meals an steak fingers all around. Everything tasted good, the dipping gravy was rich, and the DQ kiddie cones made smiles all around. Parking is tight and the seating is as well, but they do their best to accommodate everyone and they do it with a smile. Average prices and good food and all that you would expect from DQ. This is a very good operation. People greet you and seem genuinely pleased to see you. The staff is young and smart (Good combination). there is always someone in charge there. I think the manager is a woman and she is always aware of what is going on. Lastly and very important, this is a very clean facility. The latest "Blizzard of the month" flavor is oreo - candy cane. This is to die for (Well maybe not really die) but it is worth a trip there just for that. Keep up the good work staff. We appreciate you. read more

I received an email that the "Dude" was on special for $4.00 so I went to the Dairy Queen on 620and O'Connor road in Round Rock. When did the "Dude" come soaked in jalepeno juice? I do not remember it being an unbearably spicy sandwich. It was so spicy, even the dog couldn't get the thing. It went i the garbage. That is the second time this place has served me less than quality food. I am done with them. So disappointed as this was my favorite food item from Dairy Queen. I love Dairy Queen, I'm a hungerbuster girl, but today I decided on a chicken strip basket and orange Julius that was advertised on their website. I was told they don't have orange Julius any more so I passed on a drink. The chicken strip basket was completely tasteless , the gravy tasted like flour, the chicken strips had a strange taste and the Texas toast was pretty much cardboard. Very disappointed!!! read more

Updating my review to say that I have been to two other mayfield locations and have had the same spectacular service I experienced at the Round Rock Mayfield DQ. My only wish is that your locations served taco salads! Or offered sour cream with your tacos. Thank you, Robert for the service you and your team provide. It's so much more than your run of the mill fast food. Your employees really seem to care about providing great service, which can be rare in fast food. They are getting a 2 Star because of how clean the restaurant is. 1) They don't do the Taco Salad. Huh? 2) I ordered a Kid meal cheeseburger. We were not given the ice cream or drink. I called the restaurant about this issue. I was informed that the ice cream coupon is on the bag and the demand for the ice cream is only completed when you present the coupon. Had I known this, I would have not ordered the kids meal to go. This was a scam for my money. How hard is it for the person mention this detail upon order? The drink.
