I was very impressed with the food and the service. I told the cashier that I was planning on trying the new mushroom Swiss melt. She said that she had a coupon for it ... but medium frie and drink and get the burger free. I decided to get that as well as my dining partner. She made to ring up the orders separately so that we both could get the discount. On the back of the mushroom Swiss burger coupon was a coupon for a BOGO free banana pudding shake. She made sure to give me those so I could use that coupon. We got our drinks and sat down. Our food came out quickly. We had people stop by our table about 3 different time check in how we liked our food and if we needed anything else. This better service than many sit down restaurants. I took my mom to lunch at Whataburger (9/14/23) before her doctor appointment. This store is extremely clean. One of the regular employees (I believe his name was Robert) was busy with a customer having a coupon issue so a manager opened a register to help me. Gwendolyn was super nice and friendly. She saw that Robert was having an issue with the online coupon. Gwendolyn asked me if it was okay to excuse herself to assist with the customer who was clearly there before me. Of course it was okay but that was nice of her to ask me. Gwendolyn didn't simply fix the transaction but I obsess her walk Robert through the process on the register so he would be able to do it himself next time. After we sat down, a young man named Redwan brought our order to the table. He gave us a nice greeting. Then he returned a moment later with condiments and extra napkins. Big thanks to everyone in the back as our order was 100% correct. This is unusual at many other locations. A short time later, Redwan was having minor difficulty difficulty changing out a trash bag. Gwendolyn saw this and told Redwan she would show him an easier way to change out the bag. She said it in a kind tone and in a way to teach him. Gwendolyn performed in an exemplary manner throughout our visit. Her customer service was professional. But what impressed me the most was her management skills. read more

Update! I got a free medium fry offer so decided to give Whataburger another chance. This time I decided to stay away from the drive-thru. Curb-side!! I've come to actively dislike this location. Service is slow and inattentive. The pick-up time on mobile orders is not accurate at all especially when using the Curbside option. On more than one occasion I had to go inside some 15 minutes after my order was supposed to be done, only to wait even longer. Ordering on the app with a specified pick-up time should be the quickest way to get your order. They prioritize the drive-thru above all else, including dine-in. First, I'm a fan of Whataburger. The food is consistently good for fast food. But service at this location is horrible. Generally, I just let it go, but today they had both lanes open in the drive through, I'm at the front of the outside lane, and five cars moved through the inside lane and still, no one brings out food or comes out to collect money from the outside lane. I ordered before 3 of those cars and the guy behind me, he ordered before two of them. Following the emptying of the inside lane and after 4 minutes with nothing happening, no one comes out and the girl at the window isn't even looking our direction, I finally left to go elsewhere. Picked up curbside at 11 pm. I was surprised to be the only person picking up, everyone else was inside or in drive-thru. The employee that came out was very friendly and gave my dog some pets (they wear gloves and he removed them). I got a patty melt and sweet & spicy burger with fries and gravy. The food was pretty good, but some of the fries were soggy and the gravy was watery and kind of had a strange taste to it. They also forgot one of my gravies but I wasn't going to go in over something that was $0.35. Overall a good experience for its first couple of days open. (i.e., no one cares about service with a smile; from the manager down to the cashier) 4. out of lids, straws, had to ask for condiments because none was offered Solution: Please go to another Whataburger location where the management actually cares about providing good service. Thought we'd try the Blue Cheese Burger special. Waited till 7:15 pm to avoid the dinner crowd. Ordered inside to go. Not busy, but not fast. Took us about 10 min to get home and open the bag. Fries were hot but burgers were cold and dry. Guess they were left over from the dinner rush. So much for made to order! The cheese hadn't even melted. Jesus man. I was really excited when I heard a Whataburger was opening here since it's really close to my house. Now I only swing by when I've exhausted every other late night food option I have. The wait is always absurd. Bare minimum 30 minutes from the front of the line to the back. By the time I have my food I could have driven to the nearest P. Terry's, ordered there, and driven home. Seriously. It's 8 minutes away. This time, which prompted me to write this review, I placed a mobile order and waited 50 minutes to get to the window. I got to the window, got my drinks, and then was told to pull away from the window and wait for my food. I then watched two people leave with their food behind me, so I walked inside and asked for my order, after which the manager(?) walked to the line and grabbed a bag which was sitting on the counter to hand it to me. Completely nonsensical. I get being understaffed. I'm in foodservice too. It happens. When you are understaffed and are completely fucking up your service and ticket times for months it is an issue. Probably just terrible management to be honest since the staff are nice most of the time. This place only gets 2 stars because I usually find no faults with the food itself. This is the slowest drive thru of any Whataburger I have ever been to. From the time you order your food to the time you pick it up at the window is a minimum of 30 minutes. I can totally understand having a delayed time after it first opened due to training new employees but they have been open now long enough that they should be able to provide good and fast service. They are out of a product every time we have visited the store and it's not because of COVID because other stores have the product. This last visit they couldn't serve shakes and they were out of onion rings. This is a management problem and this store needs a serious make over. Possibly the worst experience I've ever had at a Whataburger. Charged for cheese didn't receive any, requested onion rings got cold hard fries, and the Dr Pepper was flat and basically brown water. Depending on the time of day (between 5 pm and 11 pm Sunday thru Friday), food has been excellent and service has been outstanding since this location opened up. I have been at other times where service was slooooow and quality of food/order not so great.
