Mudslide sundae....was so delicious! Creamy hot fudge mixed with creamy caramel topped with vanilla ice cream, MORE fudge and caramel topped with toasted crunchy pecans. It was a big serving of ice cream, I couldn't eat the whole thing. My kids love the cones: plain cone, vanilla or chocolate ice cream and they even dip them in chocolate! They may only have two types of ice cream, but they know how to change it up! They offer many mix-ins, see pic for some of their choices. Ice cream bars and cakes are in the freezer to go, and they offer customizing options. Food? Yes! I haven't had a chance to try because I choose ice cream as my meal. It was busy, I wasn't able to take more pics. AFFORDABLE and quick service (faster than the other place around the corner. Air conditioning! Probably one of the worst customer service experiences had. No communication to us... not a hello ill be with you in a second after waiting 20min because she was ringing up like 20 gift cards so understand it took time other girl made a couple drinks for I guess pick ups and for the person buying the gift cards. Transaction finished.. the one that finished ringing up the order just started doing paperwork without a word to any of us in line. 2nd worker than took the order of some lady who JUST WALKED IN but was up front looking at the menu. If you didn't see the line of customers waiting and knew that lady was not the next in line... good luck on your final destination because I doubt you'll succeed anywhere. And the other worker... here's a tip.. when people have been waiting for a long time.. simple communication and customer service goes a loooong way. Oh boy, what an awful experience! Went tonight just because in the window they are advertising the s'mores blizzard. Dark hair, tall cashier with super rude attitude tells me that they ran out, I asked if they will have it again tomorrow and she said that the advertisement is old and they won't have more until next year. I decided to get a different flavor, she goes to the refrigerator and pulls a cup of what it looks like an old ice cream, mixes it with ice cream from the machine then gives it to me. I asked what was in the cup she poured into my Blizzard and she responded that it was a blizzard someone did not want earlier....the cup was not even covered, I am not sure how long that cup was in the fridge. Tuesday, 1/9/24, at around 4:30 I walked in to order a Oreo blizzard after a long day of work and the older lady who took my order was just absolutely rude. She was tall, old and I usually see her working there and she always has an off attitude but on Tuesday it was just unacceptable. She was giving me a dirty look when I changed my order from a snickers blizzard to an Oreo blizzard. Her tone was unwelcoming. Luckily the teenager who made and gave me my blizzard was absolutely charming. Her customer service was great. Considering that this is an old school Dairy Queen, I was surprised at service and taste. In other words, the service and taste doesn't match the terrible 90's aesthetic of this ice cream shop. I ordered a small Oreo cheesecake blizzard and the guy taking our order kept a full on smile on his face as if it was Disneyland. What's more, after paying and waiting for my blizzard, my Oreo cheesecake blizzard order was finished super timely within 1-2 minutes. As I went to go to the counter to get it, the guy turned my blizzard completely upside down and the blizzard inside the cup stayed put! Amazing. They got magic tricks. I remember going to this DQ location in my childhood. I like their blizzards and I think they also have milkshakes (it's been awhile though). Anyways, around the mid 2000's they used to do character cakes (not sure if they still do right now), but in 1st Grade I got a Barney cake & in 2nd Grade was Lilo & Stitch. So this was my first time going to Diary Queen. I understand that it's one of the oldest fast food chain around and they have bunch of stores everywhere. But I never had the desire to go since I'm not too crazy for ice cream. Today I took my girlfriend to the dentist. While she was getting her teeth cleaned I decided to give this place a try. I got in line and I saw 2 people in front of me ordering blizzard. The lady brings their order to them, and flipped it upside down like "Look! It's not falling out! Wow!". The customers were so pleased and amused. I was not impressed. I ordered the plain vanilla cone dipped in chocolate. Cool thing about this is that the chocolate hardens in few seconds and turns into shell. The ice cream tasted good and the chocolate was a great match. I recommend eating the ice cream inside the shell first, then eating the chocolate shell after that. For my first time I wasn't disappointed. Customer service was good too. I don't mind coming back but I'll probably just take my time discovering other ice cream place instead. It's a big fast food chain so I'll encounter it somewhere no matter what. read more
