Title: CUSTOMER SERVICE - EMPLOYEES ARE A JEWEL…read more I thoroughly enjoy eating at this restaurant. The food is consistently flavorful, and whenever I'm missing New Orleans, this place gives me a taste of home. What keeps me coming back is not just the food, but also the outstanding customer service. The staff is always kind, welcoming, and attentive. Many times, I've placed an order before work, and they have it ready with the same level of care and hospitality as if I were dining in the restaurant. That level of service is truly appreciated. The food is always fresh, hot, and prepared consistently. One of my absolute favorites is the remoulade sauce. It is incredibly flavorful, tasty, and complements the meal perfectly. For health reasons, I recently ordered the Kids Catfish Meal, and it was the perfect choice. The portion size was more than enough, and I even had dirty rice left over to enjoy later. The meal includes an entrée, side, and drink, making it an excellent value for the price. It's refreshing to find a restaurant that delivers both quality food and exceptional customer service on a consistent basis. The employees are truly a jewel, and their dedication does not go unnoticed. Highly recommended! (5 Stars)

As for the service, everyone I've encountered has been very nice and kind they ask you to leave your stuff at the table and they'll clean it up later. They check on you. I don't go there for the ambience, but it's decent for a family outing.

The restaurant has a casual, vibrant atmosphere with a Louisiana-inspired vibe that makes it a nice spot for hearty meals. The menu features classics like po'boys, fried seafood platters, gumbo, and other spicy favorites, with generous portions and satisfying taste. Parking is convenient, with a decent-sized lot right in front that makes arrival easy. Service was friendly and efficient, with attentive staff delivering hot food in a timely manner. It was surprising to find the place pretty empty during the visit, which allowed for a quiet, relaxed meal but seemed unusual for the quality of the food. This spot is best enjoyed as an occasional treat--everything on the menu tends to be heavily fried, making it indulgent but not ideal for regular visits for health reasons. When the craving strikes every couple of years, Cajun Street delivers a flavorful experience worth the stop.

I finally made my way to Needville to check out what I've been hearing about for a while now. It's…read morebeen a long time coming and I waited too long...but it was worth the wait! This place was recommended to me from some coworkers who happen to be Cajun from Louisiana. I had high expectations and let me tell you now, Bayou Boys met every one of them. First the ambiance. I'm from a small town in west Texas and this place reminds me of the small cozy diners I used to frequent as a kid, where the service was great and the food was even better. When I walked in though, I knew I wasn't in Texas anymore Toto. I was in Lafourche Parish. Not transported by a tornado but by the aroma of some tres bien boudin, poboys and gumbo! The service was excellent. Hannah was very customer oriented and made the whole experience very enjoyable. She answered questions, gave recommendations and knew the menu very well. The food....come on now...the food? C'est bon!!! Let's start off with the fried green tomatoes. Thanks to my mom growing up and a healthy dose of Kathy Bates movies, I grew up eating fried green tomatoes. These were so good. Fried and crispy on the outside but tender and oh so juicy on the inside. Dipped in that blue cheese or ranch, it was going down! If I drove all this way, I'm going to eat! So next up. The Butt Burner Boudin was fire! If you didn't know boudin means delicious and this was some delicious boudin. I back doored the boudin with a boudin ball that was equally delicious. I'm sure somewhere there is a debate about boudin links vs boudin balls and it was hard to decide in this case but I'll leave the ball in your court to decide. The chicken and sausage gumbo was incredible. That dark, chocolate brown roux had a deep, rich flavor. The chicken and sausage was full of flavor and the rice soaked up all that good flavor. Was I done? Oh no bebe! I still had to try them famous poboys! One catfish and one shrimp. The French bread was incredibly soft but with a very light crispy crust. The catfish and shrimp both were amazing. These poboys were stuffed! Lettuce, pickles and tomatoes packed in and overflowing! I put that tartar sauce on the catfish and that poboy was something serious! I thought I was done but I let them talk me into trying that Tarte au la Bouillie. Let's be honest. It didn't take much convincing. I was ready. The translation is burnt milk tart but all I tasted was delight! It's something between a custard and a cheesecake but not like either. It's just good, ya heard! The owner Joel made several stops by the table and talked about the food a bit. I appreciate when the owner or chef stops by and connects with the customer. It shows the passion for great customer service and incredible cuisine. Y'all it took me way too long to make it to Bayou Boys in Needville, TX. Don't be like me...be ready to eat some authentic Cajun cuisine and jump in your car and drive to Needville asap! You won't be disappointed!!!

When I walked up, a couple was outside having their crawfish. It's a grab n geaux as they say online. I ordered 4 lbs and some boudin balls. I was informed it would be about 45 mins since they do Louisiana style, after cooking it requires a 30 min soak. I sat outside while waiting, as soon as I sat at the patio tables, more and more patrons stoped by to order. Within 25 mins, about 20 of us were waiting. They would update us on the time left to pick up. They place the crawfish in styrofoam to-go container and bag them up. The crawfish were on the small-medium end but that is expected given the time of year. The favor was good, the shells were a bit soft and it seemed that it may have been a touch overcooked but for the larger ones, it was just fine. Boudin balls were about baseball sized but very salty. I may return for more crawfish but once the season is fully going.

EXCELLENT! I did not expect to find something like this in a small small town. We were on our way…read moreto college station and wanted to get something to eat as we got closer to our destination. We checked Yelp for something other than Mexican food and this place had really great reviews. As soon as we walked it we knew it was going to be good. The menu isn't too large, which to me meant that they have spent a lot of time perfecting the things that are on the menu. The service was really good and as soon as we sat down, we ordered a couple of sodas and the Boudin balls. We took a couple minutes to look at the menu and everything looked really good, but the spicy chicken sandwich was really calling out to both of us. So we ordered those one with potato salad and one with rice. The Boudin balls were delicious. They were pretty large in size and the sauce that it came with had a little bit of a kick to it. My favorite thing was that it was mostly meat on the inside and the flavor was incredible. Same with the chicken sandwich. It also had a kick and by the time I was done my mouth was pretty warm. I thought the potato salad was a great way to help cool it off, and it was just as good as the sandwich. I loved the batter on the chicken, and I thought the bun was toasted perfectly. This would be a place I would go to regularly if I lived in the area. Parking was pretty tight and most of the spots were taken up so we did park in a spot we weren't supposed to, but luckily we didn't get towed!

When I tell you the spirit of Louisiana and NOLA was in the place! So you will miss the place if you aren't paying attention. The sign is small and the building looks like it used to be a church fellowship hall. It's not fancy and it's small, however, don't discount it. Don't judge a book by its cover and great things come in small packages. It's a family owned and run business. By the looks of it, it can probably seat 40 people and I'm pushing it with the number. However from the time you walk in until the time you leave, you feel like you're at your great aunt's house. It was five of us and when you walk in, it's seat yourself and first come, first serve. The food came out piping hot and cooked fresh. My husband and brother-in-law got the catfish platter with red beans and rice (no pork) and Mac-n-cheese. My sister and I got the Nawlins boil that had a crab cluster, shrimp, corn, potato, boiled egg and a sausage link. My nephew got a shrimp po-boy with fries. The food was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The fish and fries were crispy. The Mac-n-cheese isn't creamy but it isn't dry. Perfect amount of cheese and flavor. The red beans and rice had the perfect balance of flavor. The boil...my goodness the boil. They have the amount of the boil down to a science to make it a full meal. At first glance, I didn't think it would be seasoned well because the season looked like a dry rub. It wasn't saucy or juicy - until I took my first bite. I almost walked to the kitchen to kiss the cook. They are not skimpy on any of the food either. Even the po-boy had an overload of shrimp. When we were there, it was a packed house. There was also a large party who was rather disgruntled - not because of the service or food but because they were impatient. Remember this is a family owned business with 2 servers and maybe 3 cooks that cook to order. So if you're looking for quick food, this isn't the place. If you have time to sit, enjoy some great food with great company in a casual home style restaurant...this is your place.

They have a few cocktail concoctions; however, they only serve beer and wine so they're wine based. I looked over the menu which is reasonably priced and decided on the blackened catfish (1 filet) with onion rings and red beans and rice. You can choose 2 sauces so I picked tartar and remoulade. I also added an iced tea. Red beans and rice - very watery, should really have drained off most all the liquid before serving this. Good flavor though with plenty of andouille sausage in it. Onion rings - these are pretty good Catfish - this really hit the spot especially when dipping everything in the remoulade. Overall, I liked this place and will return to try other dishes.
