My trinket with a keychain :)

This is the best craft studio! My friends and I made appointments for a celebration and it was the perfect activity for a small group. The value is really great, you make a small deposit to book that goes towards your craft, which includes unlimited charms. Each person spent about $25-$40. The selection is super cute! Everyone was able to really personalize their craft and make it their own. Marissa was very attentive, personable and helpful! Everyone was doing a different craft, and she was able to walk each person through their activity. She was super fun and creative, and she had good ideas if you needed help. We had the best time! Thank you again for making our day so special :)

I can't believe this place has not got more reviews on Yelp! I found this place on IG and booked an appointment for a decoration class. The process was easy and fast, the 10 dollars deposit goes to the final cost. The place is located at an older part in LB and street parkings are available in front of the store. We got there about 10 mins earlier and the owner is super sweet and friendly and letting us wait in the store earlier. We were impressed by the cute and colorful decoration and merch. The class size is small and intimate. The owner walked us through with all the charm stations and being helpful with stuffs we needed. There are different items on the wall including cute heart shape jewelry boxes, hair claws, mirrors, phone cases...we picked the jewelry box for decoration and had the best time...it's not easy but just relax and go with the flow. Endless charms create endless possibilities! Don't forget to shop the merch too!

We had seen this on Instagram and had to book as soon as possible. Got together to celebrate our birthdays all at once and had a ton of fun. Intimidating at first and after a lot of picking and choosing and changing ideas midway we were all happy with our designs. My niece picked a purple jewelry box and my friend and I picked a picture frame for ours. Would definitely go back again and recommend to all our friends

First time at Dainty Disco and loved every second being there. The place has a very comfortable and welcoming environment. So many possible designs to choose from. They have many different things you can decorate from mirrors, phone cases, and jewelry boxes. They all range from different prices which is good if you want to make something less pricey it's is possible. I've never decorated anything with frosting and they teach you how to use it which was pretty straight forward. Overall will be coming back for more crafts.

Truly had the best time at Dainty Disco! Marissa was so sweet and very informative / helpful with our crafts. The selection can be a little overwhelming (in a good way!). So many creative juices were flowing, so many cute avenues to take! I brought a friend to come w/ for the first time and I will definitely be returning soon (already got tickets for their junk journal workshop in Nov.). I was unsure about pricing initially but it was well worth it! Supporting a small business owner and having fun was a win / win in my book. You get what you put into your time there, don't be shy to take the full 2 hours and create something you love. I would recommend for anyone looking to do solo self-care / fun activities or a place to go with some friends.

My wife and I stopped in during a visit to the Bixby Knolls neighborhood of Long Beach, and was impressed by the collection of curated products, neatly displayed across the space. Folks were setting up tables for one of their many cultural events/gatherings, but their space is big enough to handle it while shoppers browse. Their retail space includes a collection of 'Filipino Komiks & Kids Lit' and prints from local/Filipino artists (two of which we've already displayed at our home). This time, ended up bringing home a 'Bangus Pro Shop' ballcap ($24.95) and Filipino Birthday Greeting Card ($5.50). The payment processing is modern, using Shopify, their website platform provider. And their associates continue to be so friendly and helpful. Kubo is just a great place to visit.

When we came in, they were setting up for an event later in the day. With that being said, I can tell there is a lot of engagement and activities for the community! My fiancé and I came to stop by, to purchase gifts for a friend. He felt very seen and felt with every little book, trinket, and toy. I also felt delight seeing myself, being represented. I loved seeing the handmade items, small business items being sold, and books. The most impressive part was the books and toys for infants/toddlers. We purchased some "first words in Tagalog" books and a toy. This place is definitely worth visiting! The girls here were very inviting and nice. It was a pleasure stopping by and we hope to come back again!

However, when I've gone in looking to purchase something specific, it hasn't been available -- even when I returned a week or two later. Yes, it's something they sell in store normally. The staff is generally helpful, though I did have an awkward experience at checkout. When I mentioned the weight of an item, the staff member questioned the accuracy several times. I wasn't sure if she was new or if there was some hesitation in trusting the information I provided. She said she was "just trying to make sure it was right," but it felt unnecessary and a bit uncomfortable. It might make more sense for staff to weigh items themselves to avoid situations like this. Overall, it's a pleasant store, but the inconsistent availability and that checkout experience make me unsure if I'll return.

The reason why - and I have to point this out because the store is named Rooted - is most of the neon pothos did not look too healthy aside from one plant in a 6" pot (larger than what I was looking for). In fact, many of the plants were rather middling, with soil looking dry when most inventory are tropical houseplants. Was it the heat at the time I visited or negligence? I'm not sure, but even with seemingly fair prices as plant shops go (4" philodendron Brazil was $12), it's harder to buy a plant that looks sickly. In addition to plants, Rooted also carries housewares and refills for shampoo, body wash, etc. I can't speak to the prices because I have a similar store within walking distance that I typically bring my dispensers to.
