Cinply - Palo Santo spray. Made with moon water & Florida water.

I'm always on the lookout for cool, metaphysical types of stores, so decided to explore Fair Trade LB last month. I was pleasantly surprised, because they feature many different types of vendors who sell unique, handmade goods. They also have crystals, accessories, sprays, oils, decorations, and numerous other types of items. A few things I've tried so far - a Chakra sage by a lady name Jeceida (sorry for the spelling) and it's wonderful. So pretty, too. Cinply - Palo Santo smudge spray. I was a bit hesitant at first, but absolutely love it now! Clears my energy and smells fantastic. The owner I believe, is a lady named Teresa. She's very nice, professional, and helpful. They also host various events for the local community. A delightful concept store, and I'm so happy I found this place. We need more of them to make our world a better place! :)

My daughter and I have been shopping here since they opened in 2019. Not only is the owner, Teresa, so helpful and friendly... she is also very informative about the background of fairtrade & the sustainable products being sold. From items that are in "last chance clearance bins", to beautiful handmade items (that cost more!) there's organic bug sprays, chocolates, coffees & soaps! Gently used vintage clothing, jewelry & wall decor too! This place has everything you may need! Essentials, gifts, treats and more! We even shopped there today! Always something new!

Cool textured oatmeal and turmeric soap! BOMB! Soothing balm

This store is a game changer! There is a "thing" for every need at this place! Everything is so unique and it gives you the opportunity to buy from the heart! I purchased soap and a balm tin from the vendor SoapKo! AMAZING! I have to hide the soap from my family because they love it! It leaves your body feeling smooth and not all covered in gunk. I have a stubborn dry spot on my on the back of my leg and the balm has made it go away! I will continue to use it, especially during the winter months. They have a really cool outdoor mart sometimes too!

I bought these as gifts and they smell so amazing

My wife and I stopped in during a visit to the Bixby Knolls neighborhood of Long Beach, and was impressed by the collection of curated products, neatly displayed across the space. Folks were setting up tables for one of their many cultural events/gatherings, but their space is big enough to handle it while shoppers browse. Their retail space includes a collection of 'Filipino Komiks & Kids Lit' and prints from local/Filipino artists (two of which we've already displayed at our home). This time, ended up bringing home a 'Bangus Pro Shop' ballcap ($24.95) and Filipino Birthday Greeting Card ($5.50). The payment processing is modern, using Shopify, their website platform provider. And their associates continue to be so friendly and helpful. Kubo is just a great place to visit.

When we came in, they were setting up for an event later in the day. With that being said, I can tell there is a lot of engagement and activities for the community! My fiancé and I came to stop by, to purchase gifts for a friend. He felt very seen and felt with every little book, trinket, and toy. I also felt delight seeing myself, being represented. I loved seeing the handmade items, small business items being sold, and books. The most impressive part was the books and toys for infants/toddlers. We purchased some "first words in Tagalog" books and a toy. This place is definitely worth visiting! The girls here were very inviting and nice. It was a pleasure stopping by and we hope to come back again!

I'm already a pretty artsy person so this was right up my alley. My only feedback would be that I wish there were more beads and charms to decorate. I feel like the selection was a little slim and that could have very well been because we came a week after Halloween and perhaps it was a busy time? Regardless, the place was decorated so cute and the two hour time slot that I booked was exclusively for us, which I thought was really nice. Another note- the number on yelp is not updated and there are two addresses that come up when you search via google maps. Make sure you are going to the right location!

There aren't many places like this in the area, so it's a fun and creative spot to check out. I found them on Instagram and decided to go with some friends. I've been to two craft studios that are similar, so my review is based on experiences from other places. The booking process was super easy--you reserve online with a $10 nonrefundable deposit, which goes toward the final cost of your craft. When we went at 3 PM on a Friday, we were the only group there, so we had the whole space to ourselves. Free street parking was available right in front of the store, which was a plus! Just a heads-up, it's located in an older part of Long Beach, so keep that in mind. The studio itself is absolutely adorable - very girly and charming. It's a smaller space but seems like it could accommodate a few larger groups at a time, so if you're planning to go with a big party, I'd recommend inquiring ahead of time. One thing I really appreciated is that there's no per-person studio fee. The craft prices ranged from around $15-$45, which is similar to other craft studios I've been to. You can decorate a variety of items like jewelry boxes, mirrors, photo frames, claw clips, phone cases, and glass cups. There was a nice selection of beads, charms, glitter, and other craft supplies. Their website and Instagram list monthly specials, and this month's Hello Kitty and Sonny Angel-inspired phone buddies were adorable. The owner was incredibly sweet, and you can tell she puts a lot of love into her business. She originally started Dainty Disco as a gift shop, so there's still a small retail section with cute merchandise available for purchase. A couple of minor things could be improved. The lighting inside the studio wasn't the best--it was a cloudy day, which didn't help, but some additional overhead lighting would have been useful for crafting. Also, a few craft options were sold out; for example, they were out of the larger heart jewelry boxes and only had one smaller one left. I think a section on the website that lists the options for crafts with pictures would have been helpful in guiding customers ahead of time for their choices. Overall, we had a great time, and it was nice to support a small business! They also host monthly craft meet-ups, which I'd love to check out in the future. If you're looking for a fun and creative activity in Long Beach, I definitely recommend giving Dainty Disco a visit and I'm down to come back!

Babcock and Cooke came up on the list, so I called to see if they were open. It was a few minutes before 9 AM, the listed time that showed in their hours, but a gentleman answered the phone. He was so genuinely cheerful to let me know that yes they will be opening in a few minutes and that yes they had sympathy cards available. The small shop is located off the corner of Broadway and Redondo. It is nondescript with an old sign and honestly driving by it I would not have known it was there or what kind of shop it was so I'm thankful that I know it's there. Inside is super cute, tidy, and the shop holds a boatload of gift items. Walls of cards shelving filled with candles and other gift bag, stuffers and my favorite part, which I did not come in for, but ended up leaving with were yummy soaps that greet you right as you enter the door. My favorite part of the whole experience, was that when I walked in, and the shopkeeper greeted me, I had said that I'd called a while ago about the sympathy cards. He remembered our conversation and pointed me to wear on the wall. I could find them. I asked him later on if there was a post office nearby , and he said there was a mailbox across the street said that I had needed a stamp because I wanted to mail the card straight away. So, he kindly offered me a stamp and let me write the letter while I was in the shop. That was such a lovely experience, and if I'm in the area again, I will definitely come back and go gift shopping. The cards and collections were great. Also, the price was reasonable. And my favorite part was the shopkeeper was the nicest. Thank you, Babcock and Cooke!
